Iliad shook his head and said, "While you are in power, these laws and promises may be valid, but your successors, and your successors' successors, can you guarantee that your descendants will keep these promises? Can you guarantee that your empire will continue and will not be overthrown?"
Todd wanted to explain the laws of heaven and the scales of fate to Elijah, but then he thought that there were too many factors involved, and going into too much detail would be detrimental, so he remained silent.

Todd was almost frantic: "Do you know what you're doing?! You're awakening a monster! When Sutherland awakens, he won't be able to protect the alien races anymore; all he can do is destroy everything!"
Iliad looked at Todd with a mixture of pity and mockery: "Lord of the Dragon Kingdom, you know nothing."
