Todd: "But she also needs her family."
Sutherland turned to Todd: "You sound like you care about her a lot."
Todd: "She helped me a lot...and I can't imagine living alone for thousands of years without family..."
Sutherland shook his head and said, "Todd, I can't involve Meredith in all this..."
Todd asked, puzzled, "Involved in...what?"
Sutherland: "Now is not the time to talk about this."
Todd sighed, deciding not to dwell on the matter any longer. He sat up from his recliner and said to Sutherland, "I have a question for you about the Elders' alien races."
Sutherland: "You mean how I would treat them?"
Todd stared into Sutherland's eyes and said, "You should know that you are a..."
Sutherland also sat up: "Necromancer, yes, I am a necromancer... So, you're worried that I'll turn those who follow me into necromancers as well, and eventually lead them to conquer the whole world."
Todd: "There are quite a few people in the Elders' Council who want to do this."
Sutherland smiled and nodded: "I admit you're right, but I'm not."
Todd frowned and pressed, "So what exactly do you intend to do by gathering so many alien species around you?"
Before Sutherland could answer, Spriya appeared in the courtyard once again.
She slowly walked towards Todd and asked again, "Guest who has come from afar, what would you like to eat tonight? I can prepare it now."
Seeing the hopeful expression on the woman's face, Todd unconsciously swallowed back the words that were about to come out.
Turning to look at Sutherland, Todd saw the faint smile on Sutherland's face and couldn't help but smile back.
"Chicken or fish is fine, and wine would be even better..."
