Chapter 707 Companions

"The crew included 165 sailors, mostly Crusaders, 75 alien passengers, six Valkyries, and their mounts."

Aisha glanced at Ivy in the captain's cabin while looking at the bulletin board, and said, "Those six griffins took up the living space of twenty-four people."

Ivy said coldly, "But their role is far greater than that of twenty-four people."

Aisha shrugged: "Say what you will."

The first mate's voice came from outside the captain's cabin: "Captain, our ship has left the harbor and will be arriving at Waiheke Island soon."

Aisha put down her clipboard and said to the people around her, "Let's go, let's go check out the deck."

As she climbed the steps to the keel deck, Aisha took a deep breath of the slightly salty sea air, looked at the busy sailors, and said softly, "I've heard it before: the people on a ship are like members of a family, and everyone finds their place."

Rachel turned her head and glanced in the direction of the inner city of Twilight City, then turned back to Aisha and said, "Do your men know how dangerous this mission is?"

Aisha raised her head and said, "They all know that the spots for going to sea are decided by a lottery among everyone."

Rachel frowned and asked, "By drawing lots? Won't the person chosen complain?"

Aisha looked at Rachel with an expression of utter disbelief: "Complaints? You must have misunderstood something... Too many people want to participate in this rescue operation, but due to the limited number of people allowed on the long voyage, everyone has to draw lots, and only the lucky ones are qualified for this honor."

Rachel paused for a moment, then said, "I see."

Aisha turned her head and looked at Rachel, saying, "You simply don't understand how everyone feels about His Majesty..."

Rachel didn't speak, but there was something strange in her eyes when she looked at the others.

Aisha patted Rachel on the shoulder: "Open your mouth and breathe more. Soon you will be spending several days in darkness and gloom."

Rachel: "What?"

Aisha: "When we leave this water and reach the waters of Lone Rock City, we will have to raise the keel deck to seal the entire ship, making it look like... an oval egg."

"In the seas beyond that point, the waters are teeming with the undead. They will ram the hull, climb the hull, and even attach themselves to it, doing everything they can to rush into the cabins. What we have to do is keep up the speed, absolutely not slow down, and keep going all the way to the Supuha Mountains."

Rachel fell into deep thought.

A woman completely wrapped in a cloak slowly walked to Rachel's side and said, "The doctor said the necromancer vaccine is ready and can be administered at any time."

Rachel nodded and then asked, "Is the stock solution Wayne provided sufficient for inoculation?"

The visitor replied, "Wayne brought three bottles. We've only opened the first one, and the dosage inside is more than enough to vaccinate the entire ship."

Aisha took a step back: "I don't like it when people stick needles into my body, let alone those kinds of liquids of unknown origin."

Rachel looked up at the inner city of Twilight City again, and after a moment said, "Let's put the vaccination on hold for now, and talk about it after we get past Wailing Island."

The woman nodded and walked down the steps onto the deck.

Aisha glanced at Rachel, followed her gaze into the distance, and asked, "What are you looking at?"

Rachel looked away: "I'm just a little reluctant to leave here."

Aisha: "You don't seem like the kind of person who would be sentimental."

Rachel smiled and did not refute.

The warship moved at a low speed, carefully navigating the inland waterway, and after traveling for some time, gradually approached the port of Waiheke Island.

The navigator used flag signals to signal to the sentry post on Waiheke Island that he needed permission to pass.

Surprisingly, the sentry post on Waiheke Island did not respond to the request immediately; in fact, there was no feedback for a long time afterward.

Aisha clung to the bow of the ship, looking towards Waiheke Island: "That's strange. The council and the military should have already given permission to leave, so why are these people reacting so slowly?"

Ivy, who had been standing on the deck admiring the scenery, suddenly walked over to Aisha and gestured for her to look behind her.

Aisha walked to the stern and looked towards the direction of Twilight City. A fleet of fast ships was speeding toward the alien warship.

At this moment, the warship's navigator shouted to Aisha, "Captain, the Waiheke Island outpost is ordering us to dock."

"Dock?" Aisha said angrily. "What are these people doing?"

Left with no other option, Aisha ordered the warship to dock.

Fifteen minutes later, the speedboat pulled up alongside the warship, and the crew then noticed that the speedboat was flying the insignia of the inner city's royal family.

When Evie saw the face of the first player who rushed off the Clippers, her first reaction was to turn her head and look at Rachel.

Rachel remained calm, as if nothing had happened.

Without waiting for the boarding bridge to be set up, the members of the inner city royal family jumped directly onto the deck of the alien warship.

The leader was extremely beautiful, but his expression was tense, even somewhat distorted.

As soon as Deirdre stepped onto the deck, she shouted at those around her, "Where's Aurora?! Where's my Aurora?!"

Aisha was taken aback: "Aurora? Her Highness? What's she doing here?"

Deirdre shouted again, "Aurora suddenly left without saying goodbye this morning, leaving only a letter on her desk saying she was going to rescue her father!"
