Giant waves surged and roared; torrential rain lashed the deck, splashing water; lightning ripped through the sky, deafeningly loud.
In the storm, the alien warship's anti-roll fins sliced through the surging seawater, the entire hull bobbing up and down in the raging waves, each crew member securing themselves to the keel deck and praying silently.
Sitting in the captain's cabin, Aisha focused intently on every detail of the ship through her keel nerves.
"Main power room! Check the electrical circuits to ensure there's no recurrence of the short circuit from last time!"
"Flank airtight compartments! Continue increasing the waterline to maintain hull balance!"
"Observation team! Give it to me..."
Before Aisha could finish giving her instructions, several loud impacts came from the direction of the top deck of the ship.
Aisha: "Damn it! Here we go again! Maintenance crew, to the deck, report the damage!"
Half a minute later, the sailors on deck brought a report.
A flock of flycatchers infected with undead parasites crashed into the main deck, causing some cracks. However, the damage was minor, as the keel's self-healing mechanism had already closed the cracks.
Just as Aisha finished listening to the report, another dull thud came from the lower deck on the starboard side.
The sailor on the starboard side, responsible for maneuvering the keel armor, soon reported that the warship had struck a reef.
Aisha clenched her teeth tightly, her expression serious.
At this moment, Rachel walked into the captain's cabin and said to Aisha, "The alien species with sensory abilities told me that a large number of undead are wandering around nearby."
Aisha asked, "Sensory abilities?"
Rachel: "The ability to sense objects can detect movement within a two-kilometer radius and calculate their size and speed."
Aisha: "If I had known this would happen, I should have recruited two sailors with sensory abilities! Hawkeye can see things on land and sea, but he can't see into the sea."
Rachel whispered a reminder: "We must get out of this storm as soon as possible; the warship must speed up."
Just as Aisha was about to say something, another violent impact occurred at the bottom of the ship, causing the entire hull to shake.
Aisha steadied herself and said to Rachel, "We are now thirty kilometers northwest of Anuda Port. There are reefs everywhere here. If we increase the ship's speed, and the ship loses speed, plus a bit of bad luck, we may be stuck here forever."
After thinking for a moment, Rachel suggested, "Perhaps we can move closer to the deep sea and avoid those reefs."
Aisha: "The deep sea is teeming with the undead and is far more dangerous than the shallow sea. If we get close there, we'll attract even more of their attention. I'd rather deal with the reefs than go there."
Rachel thought for a moment and said, "I've instructed the aliens to be constantly aware of any threats around us. If you need any help, just tell me."
Aisha nodded, but before she could speak, another impact from a reef came from the bottom of the ship.
The warship sailed south for another fifteen minutes through the storm.
Aisha had to steer the ship while constantly watching for damage to the keel.
Finally, the warship left the reef area.
A relieved Aisha issued the order: "Main power room, activate all electric clouds! Full speed ahead!"
No sooner had he finished speaking than a tremendous shaking suddenly struck the entire warship.
Objects in the cabin tipped over, and the crew members lost their footing and fell to the ground.
The ship was dragged sideways for dozens of meters by a tremendous force, pulling it straight toward the deep sea.
"What's going on? What's going on?!" Aisha shouted. "Observation team!"
Soon, the observation team's report was transmitted through the keel nerve network.
Thousands of undead parasite limbs emerged from the deep sea, clinging tightly to the alien warship like tentacles, while simultaneously pulling it toward the seabed.
Aisha gave the order again: "Propulsion chamber, propellers at full speed, get rid of those undead!"
"Captain, the propeller is entangled by a large number of undead parasites and can't be turned!"
"Damn it!" Aisha cursed as she shouted, "Observation team, can you see what these undead are that are entangled with us? Where are they located? How far away are they?!"
Observation team: "The storm has reduced visibility in the sea, making it impossible to see what's happening underwater!"
Enraged, Aisha cut off the observation team's communications and immediately activated the main cabin's public communication system: "Ratchet, I remember you said you had a mutant with sensory abilities? Bring him to the captain's cabin! Now!"
In less than a minute, Rachel led a female mutant named Selma into the captain's cabin.
At this moment, the entire alien warship had been dragged hundreds of meters into the deep sea by the undead parasites.
Without any unnecessary pleasantries, Aisha went straight to Selma and said, "I need to know what exactly is dragging us into the deep sea! Its size, location, and distance! Can you do that?"
Selma nodded and closed her eyes.
A few seconds later, she opened her eyes and said to Aisha, "It's in the deep sea on the starboard side, about 850 meters horizontally and 620 meters vertically from the surface, and it's still getting closer to us."
Aisha: "And its size?"
Female alien: "From head to tail, it is about thirty-three meters long."
Rachel was stunned: "A 33-meter-long undead? What the hell is that?!"
Aisha lowered her head and began to calculate rapidly.
Selma said again, "I can sense that, in addition to the giant undead that has trapped us, there are many other undead swimming upwards from the seabed and they are very close to our ship."
