Chapter 724 Light and Shadow (Part 2)

The gate to the mother nest collapsed with a crash, and amidst the rising dust, two thick and sharp parasitic claws clung to the sides of the gate frame.

A figure, amidst the swirling dust, crouched low and emerged from the doorway, slowly revealing its true form.

She had the same face as Eleanor, was stunningly beautiful, and was completely naked, her body covered in parasitic limbs. Two pairs of wings, made of huge parasitic limbs, extended from her back and spread outwards.

Eleanor stared at the woman and exclaimed in disbelief, "This is impossible!!"

The woman opened her mouth, but it was Rachel's voice that came out: "Arrogance and pride have been blinding you."

Eleanor glanced down at the corpse on the ground and screamed, "I killed you!"

Rachel flapped her bone wings, hurling a boulder blocking her path into the air, and said, "Think carefully, are you sure that corpse is me?"

Eleanor's eyes widened as she considered a possibility. A shiver ran through her, and she murmured to herself, "Sabrina, could it be that you let Sabrina take over your body?"

Rachel walked toward Eleanor, saying as she went, "Sabrina's abilities aren't just for killing; they're also the best choice for disguise."

Eleanor gritted her teeth and asked Rachel, "When did you enter the Mother Nest? And how did you acquire this body?!"

Rachel looked at the black-robed figure in the audience, dismembered by Eleanor, and said calmly, "I went to the resurrection laboratory in Iliad and found two copies of you. One is in adult form, and the other is in juvenile form."

“I guessed you would be waiting here. It would be almost impossible to sneak into the mother hive by avoiding your sight.”

"So, I let Sabrina take over my body to attract your attention. As for myself, I used the Resurrection Worm to take over the adult form of my body, while hiding the juvenile form inside my robe."

"When I arrived at the main hall, I sat in the audience and used the Soul-Returning Worm again to transfer my soul from the adult form to the juvenile form."

"While your attention was completely drawn to Sabrina and the man in black, I used my juvenile form to infiltrate the nest and eventually found this body."

Eleanor stared intently at Rachel, her eyes filled with venom. She spoke mockingly, "Your body used to be barely human... Now look at yourself, you've become a necromancer, no longer even human. From now on..."

Rachel interrupted Eleanor: "Save your energy. No matter how you try to cover it up with words, you can't change the fact that you're stupid."

Eleanor was so angry that her face contorted. She raised her hands, and a huge cloud of fire appeared around her, rapidly rolling toward Rachel.

Rachel flapped her wings made of dragon bones in front of her, letting the flames sweep past her.

The flames slowly dissipated, and Rachel was unharmed, except for some charred parasitic limbs that fell to the ground from her wings.

Eleanor's body slowly floated into the air, her moon-white dress a stark contrast to Rachel, whose body was covered in black parasites.

Light and shadow, like a pair of twins bound by fate, eventually found themselves in opposition.

Eleanor looked down at Rachel with an air of superiority and said loudly, "From the moment you came into being, your existence was like a stain that was abruptly left on a perfect masterpiece! You should never have been born into this world! You are a mistake!"

Eleanor drew an arc in the air with her right hand, and a whip nearly ten meters long, burning with intense flames, lashed out at the spot where Rachel was standing.

Rachel used her legs to propel herself into the air as if she were on springs, dodging the fire whip's attack. Then she transformed her dragonbone wings into a spear and thrust it straight at Eleanor.

Eleanor closed her eyes, her entire body slowly faded, and finally she disappeared without a trace.

After her attack missed, Rachel landed and stopped, carefully listening to the sound of the air flowing.

Upon noticing an unusual sound coming from the air, Rachel forcefully swung her bone wings, and a sharp bone spike detached from her body, shooting towards a previously empty corner.

Where the bone spurs pierced, accompanied by a cry of pain, Eleanor slowly revealed her true form.

Seeing her slashed arm, Eleanor, enraged, stretched out her hands, unleashing her full power, causing the entire hall to shake.

The sand and dust on the ground seemed to come alive, slowly gathering together to form a huge sandstorm that swept Rachel into it.

Restricted by the sandstorm, Rachel was about to leave when the stone slab beneath her feet suddenly softened and turned into a sinking expanse of quicksand.

Rachel flapped her bone wings, trying to grab the edge of the quicksand to escape as quickly as possible, but unexpectedly the sand transformed into arms, trapping her firmly in the sand.

Looking at Rachel trapped in the sand dune, Eleanor floated in mid-air expressionlessly and said coldly, "Have you ever seen what happens to a puppet that rebels against its master?"

Rachel struggled violently and roared at Eleanor, "I was never your puppet!"

Eleanor moved closer to Rachel, scrutinizing her face, and whispered, "I've never understood why anyone would like a puppet..."

"You are nothing but a copy of me, and the worst copy at that!"

"You should have lived in the darkest corner, forgotten by everyone, slowly rotting away!"
