Chapter 769 The Day of Revelation (Part 7)

Alice pointed to the gas station and said to Clemens, "Dad, look, there are people over there!"

Clemens and Liz looked in that direction, and to their surprise, there were indeed traces of human activity on the roof of the gas station.

These people used a gas station as a center and laid wooden planks as an aerial bridge, connecting all the surrounding shops into an aerial corridor.

The edges of the roof were sealed off with wire, planks, glass, and cement to ensure that infected people could not climb up.

Clemens looked at the armed guards on the roof and said softly, "Perhaps we can negotiate with them and get some gasoline and food in return."

Liz grabbed him and said, "Don't go yet, look over there."

In the very center of the gas station roof, a bonfire was lit, and people dressed in strange robes were chanting something loudly around it.

A white flag slowly rose into the air, with a huge goat skull drawn on it in bright red liquid.

Clemens: "What exactly is that thing?"

Liz: "I have a bad feeling."

A man with huge tattoos on his upper body, holding a dagger, struck an iron plate on his chest.

The loud noise was particularly jarring in the night sky, immediately attracting all the infected people near the gas station.

Hundreds of infected people gathered around the gas station, screaming and running.

The densely packed parasitic tentacles, when viewed from above, resemble a black forest.

Alice looked curiously at the roof and asked, "Daddy, what are they going to do?"

Under the watchful eyes of the three people, the people on the rooftop carried out a naked man, who was tied to a wooden pillar.

"I was just passing by!" the bound man cried out pitifully. "For God's sake, please don't hurt me, let me go!"

The tattooed man shouted to the infected people downstairs, "Our god is both light and darkness!"

"Our God is both a fool and a wise man!"

"Our God gave birth to everything, yet he is slandered as being lost!"

"Believing in life and serving in death, together we welcome our God, who is the origin, the only one, and the eternal and unchanging!"

After saying this, the tattooed man raised his dagger and slashed a bloody, inverted cross on the chest of the bound animal.

Amid the screams of the victims, people on the roof tied a rope to one end of the wooden post and slowly lowered it down from the roof.

Seeing what happened next, Liz quickly covered Alice's eyes, while Clemens forced himself to turn away and kept gagging on the spot.

After a long while, Liz, her face pale, said to Clemens, "The infected people in the town have all been drawn here, which means that the nearby houses are safe for the time being."

The latter nodded: "We can take this opportunity to search for gasoline, food, and clean water."

Clemens stood up, glanced back at the tragedy beside the gas station one last time before leaving, and whispered, "This is the end times described in the Bible. When will all this finally end?"
