Chapter 417 Seeking the Truth

A loud bang.

Carroll punched a large hole in the stone wall, then stepped through it with his right leg.

Looking back at the dumbfounded Aldenan, Carol smugly blew the dust off his fist and said with a smile, "This method is still the most straightforward."

"You muscle-bound idiot!" Aldenan jumped down from the wall and gave Carol a flick on the forehead: "Such a loud noise, you'll wake everyone up!"

The two of them looked at the abandoned shipyard ahead at the same time. Apart from the sound of waves crashing against the reefs and the wind blowing through the sky, there was no other sound.

Carroll looked at Aldenan suspiciously: "Is there something wrong with your intelligence? Is that guy named Wayne Dunlop really here?"

"The intelligence could not be wrong."

Aldenan crept closer to the abandoned shipyard and peered through the cracks in the dilapidated door. Inside was a huge dock, but it was overgrown with weeds and littered with garbage.

“This shipyard belongs to a chamber of commerce in the north. I heard it was originally intended to be used to build medium-sized cargo ships, but it was later seized by the Muxi Bank to pay off its debts due to its heavy debts.” Aldenan said as he walked from the planks into the dock. “I spent a lot of money to get the following information from the best intelligence brokers: the scholar who vaccinated us that day was named Wayne Dunlop, a professor of microbiology at Muxi University. Someone saw him around here.”

Carroll crouched down, lifted a wooden plank, and looked at the insects scattering everywhere. Disappointed, he said, "It looks like no one has been here for at least a year. There's nothing here!"

Aldenan lay on the ground, pressed his wolf ears to the ground, listened for a while, then got up and said to Carol, "There's a sound underground."

"Underground?!" Carol stomped on the stone beneath her feet. "The sea is right beneath our feet. Can you hear the sound of the sea?"

"In this form, my ability to distinguish sounds and smells is hundreds of times stronger than that of ordinary humans. I'm certain that the sound coming from underground is definitely not the sound of water!"

Carol scratched her head: "So what do we do now?"

Aldenan pointed to the seawater in the center of the dock and made a jumping gesture.

"Jump into the sea from here?!" Carol's eyes widened. "Are you crazy?!"

Aldenan shrugged: "Do you still want to find Wayne Dunlop? That's the only hope for finding the answer."

After saying this, Aldenan jumped into the seawater pool in the dock without hesitation.

Karlov shook his head helplessly, pinched his nose, and jumped into the sea as well.
