Kasper said, "Unlike the others, you don't belong here."
Later, he added, "The way you looked into the distance told me everything."
Todd did not respond, but lowered his head and pondered for a while.
“I can offer you both temporary shelter.” Seeing Ackerman visibly relieved, Todd continued, “But I will verify the truth of your words. If you are lying, I will personally rip off your heads and give them to whoever wants them.”
Kasper turned to Todd, his expression solemn: "The people of St. Guard City never stoop to using lies and betrayal to buy survival and a life of ignominy."
Todd stared into the burly man's eyes, nodded, and smiled, "You look a lot like someone I know..."
Seeing the two men who seemed to appreciate each other, Ackerman inadvertently stepped in and said, "Your Excellency Boyle, we actually have another request."
Kasper's face fell: "Don't drag me into this. You're the one who needs my help."
Looking at Ackerman's embarrassed face, Todd waved his hand dismissively: "Tell me about it."
“Here’s the thing, I have a gladiator match with Casper in three days.” Ackerman scratched the back of his head. “We’d like to change our opponent.”
Todd glanced at the two of them and said with a smile, "You can't beat your opponent?"
Kasper snorted and glared fiercely at Ackerman.
The latter awkwardly touched his chin and revealed the truth: "Three days later, our opponents are a pair of sisters from a barbarian tribe... I'm not very good at hitting women."
Kasper coughed loudly at his companion.
"Okay, okay! To be honest, we had a relationship, and I can't bring myself to lay a hand on someone I used to love!"
Listening to Ackerman's words, Todd asked curiously, "Sister or sister?"
Ackerman shrugged, held up two fingers, and shook them.
Todd looked on in astonishment: "These two sisters are actually willing to abandon customs and love the same person?"
Kasper, seizing the opportune moment, continued to undermine her: "Those two silly girls have no idea that the men they're dating are the same person."
Todd gasped.
