Watching the Holy King of Muxi City transform into a legendary dragon before their very eyes, the expressions and reactions of the kingdom's citizens could only be described as utter shock.
Some people cried out and tried to escape the square, some fainted on the spot, and some were so frightened that they lost control of their bladder and bowels.
Todd folded his dragon wings, curled his tail, looked at the chaos in the square, turned his head and growled at Emerson standing beside him, signaling him to take action.
The poor prime minister didn't dare to look up at the black dragon; his legs trembled uncontrollably, and he could only nod haphazardly in response.
Emerson shouted, his voice trembling, "Next, it's time to execute the prisoners!"
The Froststone City warband soldiers, like leading cattle and sheep to slaughter, first brought a group of pirates and mercenaries onto the high platform.
"This is the legendary Pirate King, Barbarossa, who can stop a baby from crying just by mentioning his name and strike fear into the hearts of everyone!"
Accompanied by the judge's shout, a burly, strong man covered in wounds was carried up by two orcs.
As the first criminal to be executed, Barbarossa looked at the sea of people below the platform, then glanced at the chilling black dragon in the distance, lowered his head, and said with a self-deprecating laugh, "Life is unpredictable..."
Dressed in white and wearing a white headscarf, Aisha, holding a scimitar, walked up to the platform and came behind Barbarossa under everyone's gaze.

Hearing that familiar voice, Barbarossa turned around, looked at the woman behind him, and said with a smile, "My daughter, I never thought that our feud would end in this way."
Aisha looked at Barbarossa's neck, slowly raised her scimitar, and said coldly, "The harm you did to my mother back then, I will repay you today!"
Barbarossa tried to turn his body to face Aisha, but the orc holding him was too strong and he couldn't move an inch.
Left with no other choice, he could only glance at Aisha and say softly, "Your mother is the woman I love most in this world. How could I possibly be so cruel as to hurt her? Everything that happened back then was her choice."
Aisha roared, "I don't believe you!"
Barbarossa closed his eyes with a bitter smile: "My life has come to an end, and I have no reason to deceive you."
Aisha gritted her teeth, raised her scimitar high, and swung it down hard at her father, but the blade stopped ten centimeters above Barbarossa's neck.
Sensing the woman's hesitation behind him, Barbarossa slowly opened his eyes and calmly said to Aisha, "My legend has ended, and yours has just begun. But in any case, I know that my daughter will one day become the Queen of the entire ocean!"
Aisha held the scimitar in both hands, staring at the face before her, her hands beginning to tremble.
Seeing that the execution on the high platform had not yet taken place, Todd raised his head and turned his gaze to the father and daughter involved.
Barbarossa turned his head to look into the black dragon's cold, dark golden eyes. A thought flashed through his mind, and he roared, "Aisha, one thing is true! It was indeed I who personally plunged the dagger into your mother's chest, and it was I who watched my beloved woman die in my arms! If you want revenge, then act now! You are my daughter, Barbarossa's daughter, a descendant of the Pirate King. Do not let weakness and cowardice tarnish this name!"
Aisha let out a heart-wrenching scream, her scimitar slashing down with resolute fury.
Blood gushed out like a fountain. The legendary pirate king's head turned with the sea breeze, his gaze finally settling on the azure sky above.
With Barbarossa dead, the captured pirates and mercenaries were one after another taken to the execution ground.
Cries for mercy, sobs, and screams echoed continuously over Muxi Square.
Nearly two hundred prisoners were beheaded and displayed in front of the citizens of Muxi City.
The stench of blood and the horrific scene terrified everyone present, making them stagger.
But what they didn't expect was that this was just the beginning.
After all the pirates and mercenaries had been executed, the second batch of death row inmates were pushed onto the high platform.
They were all defectors in this rebellion in Muxi City. Some were soldiers from their own country who had joined the rebels, some were officials of various ranks who had been bribed with money, and some were criminals who had taken advantage of the chaos in the kingdom to rob and set fires.
If the citizens of Muxi City only felt uncomfortable about executing the pirates and mercenaries, then executing these citizens who betrayed their country truly instilled in them a deep sense of fear and trembling.
Among these people were many friends, colleagues, relatives, and even children of those present. In response to their deaths, some citizens disregarded their own safety, knelt on the ground, and begged the executioners to spare their lives and show mercy.
Hearing the cries and pleas coming from the square, Emerson secretly glanced at Todd beside him. The latter seemed to guess what Emerson wanted to say and replied directly: "These people betrayed the entire kingdom for money. If we forgive them, then how will those heroes who fought to the death to protect the country last night face themselves?"
Upon hearing this, Emerson sighed and decided not to say anything more.
Because the traitors involved a wide range of people and a large number of individuals—even a rough calculation shows over 1,400—the execution time for the second batch of death row inmates was much longer than that for the first.
