Deirdre opened her mouth as if to say something, but after thinking for a moment, she finally nodded in agreement.
Todd waved for all the servants to leave, and just as he was about to stretch his slightly stiff neck, a knock at the door made him sit up straight.
Evie walked through the gate, first glancing at Todd, then at Deirdre.
Misunderstanding the other person's deeper meaning, Todd said with a wry smile, "It's still very early..."
Evie rolled her eyes at Todd and said irritably, "Wayne Dunlop came to the palace at noon today and has been waiting for you for most of the day."
Todd frowned, stood up from his chair, and with Deirdre's help, put on his robe while saying to Ivy, "Did he mention why he came to see me?"
Evie leaned against the doorframe, shook her head, and said, "You should know that freak veterinarian. He thinks only you can understand what he's saying."
Todd nodded, kissed Deirdre on the cheek, and then followed Evie toward the main hall of the palace.
Wayne Dunlop sat cross-legged on the side aisle of the King's Hall, intently working on calculations and equations, surrounded by a large number of drawings and notes he had brought with him.
Todd approached him and saw large patches of chalk marks on the ground, indicating that Wayne had been there for quite some time.
Evie glanced at Todd, shrugged helplessly, and said, "He's been like this ever since he got here, and he hasn't even eaten the dinner that was brought to him."
Todd sighed and nodded slightly to indicate that he understood.
Evie gently stroked Todd's waist and smiled, "Come earlier, you'll know where to find me..."
After saying this, the Valkyrie walked towards her bedchamber without looking back.
Watching the woman's figure disappear into the darkness, Todd carefully walked around the calculation formulas on the ground, came up to Wayne, and asked softly, "You were looking for me?"
Wayne looked up blankly, and the moment he saw Todd, his eyes lit up, and he shouted, "Your Majesty, I have finally found a solution to the problem of improving the alien weapons you mentioned earlier."
