After discussing the matters concerning the voyage, everyone hurriedly left to arrange their respective tasks.
Rachel walked out of the council hall and came to a secluded corner, where she stopped, as if quietly waiting for something.
Evie walked up behind her and said, "You know what's there."
Rachel said in a low voice, "Sorry, I don't know what you're talking about."
Evie: "You went back to the Council of Elders, you met the Elder named Eliard, you saw Sutherland with your own eyes... Most importantly, as a traitor to the Legion of Strife, you managed to get out of there unscathed and even obtained Eliard's notes."
With her back to Evie, Rachel asked calmly, "So, what are you trying to say?"
Evie: "You, Elijah, and that damned Sutherland, you've all conspired and put on a show! I'm sure you're hiding something, like a bunch of cunning squirrels hiding fruit that doesn't belong to you!"
Rachel slowly turned around, her face showing no sign of panic, and said with a smile, "If you doubt me, you can plunge the short sword at your waist into my chest right now."
Evie clenched her fists in frustration: "You and I both know that only you know Todd's whereabouts, and only you know how to save him!"
Rachel: "I've known for a long time that you're a smart person."
Evie: "Then tell me, why did you do all this?! Todd gave you everything, gave everything to the Xenomorphs! Without him, you're nothing but a bunch of sewer rats!"
Unfazed by the other party's rude remarks, Rachel nodded and said, "You're right, Todd gave me everything, and he is my everything... but this kingdom is not..."
Ivy was stunned: "What?"
Rachel: "Want to know the answer? Then come with me. When everything comes to an end, you will understand everything."
Ivy's eyes widened in anger, her right hand unconsciously reaching for the weapon at her waist: "Aren't you afraid I'll kill you right now?!"
Rachel laughed and said, "You won't."
"ah!"
Evie roared and slammed her fist heavily against the wall next to her.
Gravel flew everywhere, and dust billowed up.
The enraged Valkyrie left without looking back, leaving a huge crack in the wall.
Watching the other person's departing figure, Rachel said in a voice only she could hear, "You and I are very alike. Neither of us has ever considered this place as home..."
Rachel stood there with her head down, showing no sign of leaving.
Five minutes later, a woman dressed as a maid hurriedly walked up to Rachel's side.
"Lord Rachel, everything is arranged."
Rachel asked expressionlessly, "Are you sure she heard me?"
The maid whispered, "Every night when Her Highness goes to bed, she pretends to be asleep. We pretend to tidy up the room and deliberately reveal His Majesty's whereabouts. I'm sure she heard us."
Rachel nodded slightly: "That's enough."
The maid gave a discreet bow and quickly left.
Rachel looked up at the sky and whispered, "Forgive me."
Sutherland's Soul Space, Sutherland's Manor.
Todd stretched out his hands, channeling his soul power, trying to create something in the space.
However, nothing happened.
"Has the monster, nurtured by a tyrant for a hundred years, ultimately become too powerful?"
Helpless, Todd withdrew his hands and muttered to himself, "There's almost no chance of winning against Sutherland head-on. If only we could find another way..."
Let's play together!
A clear and melodious female voice caught Todd's attention.
Todd turned his head and saw a young woman of about twenty years old standing behind him, her face full of hope.
Denise, Sutherland's second daughter.
This woman, who clearly looks like an adult, has her intelligence and memory stuck at the age of seven due to damage to her soul.
Denise stepped forward, tugged at Todd's clothes, and said, "Play with me, I'm bored."
Todd looked at her and gave a wry smile: "Sorry, I have some things to take care of right now."
Denise: "I'll get angry if nobody plays with me!"
Denise's shaking was giving him a headache, and Todd was eager to get away: "Look around, is there anything fun to do nearby?"
Denise: "We can go hiking, and we can go boating on the lake!"
Todd was taken aback.
Mountains and lakes in the soul's space?
Todd suddenly remembered that, based on his own experience, the soul space had a certain range.
For example, in Todd's soul space, the central location is a research institute, and the underground part is a North Island temple. However, the further out you go, the weaker the soul power becomes, and the more blurred the scene becomes.
In other words, the boundary of the soul space is where the soul's power is weakest.
If we can get there, we might find a way out.
Thinking of this, Todd immediately perked up.
Amid Denise's screams, Todd transformed into a dragon, spread his wings, and soared into the sky in an instant.
Todd flew forward at top speed in a fixed direction.
As Todd flew over towering, continuous mountain ranges and shimmering lakes, the scenery on the ground and the clouds in the sky were left behind.
After flying for a full five hours, Todd still couldn't see the horizon.
Exhausted, Todd could no longer hold on and slowly descended onto a cliff at the top of the mountain.
