Chapter 261 The Secrets of the Shadow Kingdom (Part 6)

The behemoth trembled as it said, "So what if we have them? In the human race, kind people are synonymous with sacrifice!"

Todd scratched the back of his head and sighed softly, "Humans... have always been a complex and contradictory species..."

“I was born into this world and have witnessed the rise, prosperity and extinction of countless races. One day, humanity will pay the price for its actions. The sky will no longer be clear, the water will no longer be clean, the sea will eventually swallow the land, and life will lose its light like a candle.”

Leviathan's voice suddenly took on a hint of sadness: "I loathe humanity. They know perfectly well that the path beneath their feet is one of destruction, yet they pretend not to see it."

Todd changed the subject: "Why do you want to see me?"

“I understand you, I can see everything about you. The power of the soul link is far more powerful than you can imagine. The reason I found you is not only because half of you are human and half of us; but more so because your actions have shown me another possibility for humanity.”

Todd thought for a moment and said, "Half human, half you? Another possibility for humanity? Leviathan, I don't understand what you just said. Could you explain it?"

"You'll understand. When things get to that point, you'll naturally understand." Leviathan twisted his body, and his soul space began to slowly compress.

Knowing that the other party was closing the space, Todd shouted anxiously, "Wait! I still have many questions! Um... most importantly... I have a companion who must leave the Shadow Kingdom immediately. Can you help me?!"

Leviathan's body began to sink to the bottom of the sea, his eyes slowly closing: "The solution is right in front of you, as long as you are willing to abandon the evil of humanity."

"What does that mean? What does that mean?!" Todd's consciousness began to be drawn out of space.

In the final moments, a sentence from Leviathan reached Todd's ears.

Remember, I will always be watching you...

His consciousness returned to his body in the cave. Todd opened his eyes, took a deep breath, and looked at Rachel, the manticore, and the astonished and curious griffin couple beside him. He smiled wryly.

“The solution is right in front of me, as long as I’m willing to abandon the evil in humanity?” Todd pondered these words carefully, his gaze inadvertently sweeping over the griffin couple hiding at the very back of the cave, and his eyes lit up.
