Meredith looked at Todd, who was sitting blankly on the ground, and asked with amusement, "How's the training going?"
In his tyrant form, Todd glanced at Meredith and pointed dejectedly to his feet.
The latter looked closely and couldn't help but laugh out loud.
At Todd's feet was a pile of 2B pencils, all the same style and size.
Meredith picked up a pencil and asked with a smile, "It seems you're very interested in this kind of stick."
"This isn't a matter of interest at all!" Todd spread his hands and said helplessly, "I originally thought that as long as I could just use my soul power to directly mold the things in my soul space according to their shapes, it wouldn't be that simple!"
“You not only need to understand the shape of things, but also their structure, and even be familiar with the molecular formulas that make up matter, in order to reshape objects with dark matter!” Todd picked up a pencil with his finger, held it in front of him, and said with a wry smile, “Moreover, the materialization of soul power is also related to the user’s mental ability. The stronger the ability, the larger the mass and the more complex the composition of the materialized object; the weaker the ability, the opposite is true.”
Todd tossed the pencil to the ground and sighed, "After all this time, with my current abilities, I can only make a few 2B pencils at most."
Meredith gently shook her head, encouraging him, "Do you know how many people have truly mastered the ability to materialize souls since I came to the Land of Shadows?"
Seeing Todd's puzzled expression, Meredith held up a finger and waved it in front of his eyes.
"Only one person?!"
Meredith tapped Todd's arm: "That's right, it's just you... To be honest, I'm jealous of you. I've been with my master for so long, and she's never mentioned teaching me this ability. But after only meeting you a few times, she's decided to teach you everything she knows."
Seeing Todd's stunned expression, Meredith said irritably, "If the ability to materialize souls has limitations on the weight and structure of objects, why don't you try to create something small, lightweight, and simple in structure but highly useful? No matter how many of these useless little sticks you make, they'll only be good for starting a fire!"
Meredith's words made Todd's eyes light up.
The latter rested his chin on his hand and muttered to himself, "There's something that's small, lightweight, and has a simple structure, and whose molecular formula I know well... Wait! It does seem like there is, isn't this..."
"Todd."
Scáthach's voice startled Todd from his reverie.
The latter looked at the purple-haired shadow queen, who slowly walked towards him and unconsciously stood up from the ground.
Scáthach walked up to Todd, looked up into the tyrant's golden beastly eyes, and quietly asked, "Do you remember how long you've been here?"
Todd answered somewhat uncertainly, "A month?"
Meredith rolled her eyes and exclaimed, "It's been almost half a year!"
Todd's eyes widened: "So long?"
Scáthach shook her head and said with a smile, "Is six months a long time? Let me tell you something: in six months, you learned things that other trainees could never learn in their entire lives."
Todd looked at Scáthach in disbelief: "So, does that mean...?"
"That's right, I have nothing more to teach you."
Raising the Tyrant's iron claws, Todd looked at his entire body, then said to Scáthach, "Training complete?"
The Shadow Queen closed her eyes, smiled, and shook her head: "No, your training is only half complete... Come with me."
Scáthach walked ahead, with Todd following behind her. It was still that dilapidated corridor, still that spiraling downward staircase.
Following the faint green light of the radioactive ore, Todd returned to where he started—the ritual hall located beneath the Shadow Kingdom.
Crouching low, looking at the stone slabs beneath his feet, Todd said to Scáthach, "I think I already know who you're going to have me meet next..."
Scáthach looked at Todd and nodded, saying, "Of all the Forerunners, Leviathan was once a passionate and upright individual. He placed too much hope and dream in humanity... but humanity disappointed him time and time again."
“Todd, remember this: Leviathan may no longer want to help humanity, but he will not reject hope.”
Looking into Scáthach's eyes, Todd slowly nodded and said, "I understand."
Scáthach placed her hands on the stone pillar in the center of the ceremonial hall, and the entire hall slowly rotated, emitting a rumbling friction sound throughout the space.
The stone slabs on the ground slowly opened, revealing a bottomless black hole.
As the roaring sound grew louder, the surging seawater rose slowly like a rising tide, filling the entire giant cave.
Todd glanced at the sea beneath his feet, took a deep breath, nodded to Scáthach, and then jumped into the sea without hesitation.
Although the whirlpool was no longer pulling him, the Tyrant's body swam freely and comfortably in the seawater, just like a fish.
As you navigate through the shallows of the ocean, the deeper you dive, the darker the surrounding colors become, and the greater the water pressure.
Just when there was no light left in the surroundings, Todd faintly heard a muffled rumble of thunder.
Leviathan has arrived.
This creature, the size of a town and covered in tentacles, came to Todd's side, opened its enormous eye, and looked at the visitor.
Just as Todd was about to communicate with Leviathan, a resounding question caught his attention.
