Gu Xicheng smiled and said, "I wasn't scared. I was just wondering if I really saw it wrong."
Lu Qing thought for a moment and said, "That's easy. There's a dashcam in the car, let's go take a look!"
Gu Xicheng nodded: "Okay!"
The two immediately went downstairs to the garage.
Gu Xicheng started the vehicle, turned on the dashcam, and flipped to the approximate time point.
"This is it!"
Gu Xicheng immediately pressed the pause button; there was indeed no one in front of the car.
"I must have misread it."
Gu Xicheng breathed a sigh of relief and was about to turn off the recorder when Lu Qing suddenly stopped him:
"Wait! Look here!"
Lu Qing pointed to the bottom of the car's windshield in the video, where something seemed to have appeared.
"Doesn't this look like a human hand?"
Gu Xicheng immediately zoomed in on the image.
Lu Qing wasn't mistaken; it was indeed a human hand, and a child's hand at that.
The two immediately got out of the car and came to the front of the car with flashlights.
By placing the light source to the side, the handprint on the windshield becomes clearer.
“You weren’t mistaken, there really was someone!” Lu Qing said seriously.
Gu Xicheng frowned slightly:
"But where did he go? I'm sure the car didn't hit him, how could he just disappear into thin air?"
Lu Qing wiped his hand on the windshield, smelled it, and then curled the corners of his mouth into a smile:
"People don't just disappear into thin air, but ghosts can!"
Gu Xicheng: "If it's a ghost, why would it block our path and then disappear?"
Lu Qing: "Maybe it realized it couldn't mess with the people in the car, or maybe it wasn't coming for us at all, and you just happened to see it!"
"It doesn't matter. We're here for tourism, not to catch ghosts. As long as it doesn't bother us, why should we care?" Lu Qing laughed.
Gu Xicheng nodded slightly:
"That's true. Even if it's a ghost, it's a foreign ghost and has nothing to do with us."
"Let's go back and rest."
"Wait a moment." Lu Qing drew a talisman in the air and placed it on the car.
"After all, I was scratched by a ghost, so I'm still carrying some yin energy. I should use a talisman!"
Seeing the golden light of the talisman enveloping the entire car, Lu Qing and Gu Xicheng felt relieved and went upstairs to rest.
Having resolved his inner confusion, Gu Xicheng's thoughts were now preoccupied with what Lu Qing had promised him during the day.
Seeing the burning passion in his eyes, Lu Qing immediately regretted it.
"I should have just let you think about it all night!"
Gu Xicheng's lips curled into a wicked smile: "It's too late to regret it now."
After saying that, he picked up Lu Qing, who had just finished taking a shower, and Lu Qing sighed helplessly.
The noise in the room gradually subsided late into the night.
Lu Qing was afraid that Liu Manyun would eavesdrop, so he specially set up a barrier.
Sure enough, when Liu Manyun went to the bathroom in the middle of the night, she went over to listen, but left when she didn't hear any noise. Actually, they were having a passionate encounter inside.
Liu Manyun returned to her room and heard some faint noises outside, so she drew back the curtains to look out.
A group of people carrying large and small bags of luggage walked towards us.
The group consisted of seven people, both men and women, but all of them were of Asian descent.
They passed the villa and headed toward the haunted house that Eric had told them about during the day.
Liu Manyun curled her lips: "Eric said it was some kind of haunted house, but he still rented it out to people!"
Without thinking too much, she yawned, then drew the curtains, went back to bed, and drifted off to sleep.
Not far away, the group of people looked at the address, then at the house in front of them:
"This should be it!"
"It looks like no one lives here. Let's try opening the door with the key and see if it works."
One of the men took out his key from his pocket and was about to open the door when it was pushed open.
"The landlord didn't lock the door!"
"It must have been opened especially for us!"
"Could we have gotten the wrong place? Should we call the landlord and ask?"
"Why are you making phone calls so late! Maybe the landlord left the door unlocked so we wouldn't disturb him!"
"Hurry up and go inside, I'm exhausted."
The man who opened the door didn't think much of it and pushed his suitcase inside.
I found the light and turned it on, and the room lit up, but the light seemed quite old, and the room wasn't very bright.
"This place is so dirty! How could the landlord rent it to us without even cleaning it?!"
The furniture in the house was covered with a thin layer of dust, which everyone found somewhat unpleasant, but their weariness quickly masked their displeasure.
"Forget it! We decided to come at the last minute, so we're lucky to have a place to stay."
Everyone drew lots to choose their rooms, and then went to wash up.
The house was noisy for a while, but it quickly quieted down.
After an unknown amount of time, a piercing cry of a girl rang out in the dead of night.
The sound was so loud that people in both houses could hear it.
Lu Qing and the others were woken up and groggily walked out of the room:
"Who's crying outside? It's so noisy!"
"I don't know!"
Lu Qing walked to the window and looked out. She saw a little girl in a red dress sitting on the ground in the distance, and the crying was coming from her.
Lights were on in the house across the street, and someone came out. Lu Qing was puzzled.
"Didn't Eric say that someone died in that house and that no one has lived there for a long time?"
Liu Manyun yawned as she replied:
"Idol, you actually believe what he said?!"
"This group of people moved there a few hours ago. They are probably tourists and have rented a house there."
"How did you know?" Lu Qing asked.
Liu Manyun: "I saw it when I got up to use the restroom!"
Gu Fei glanced at the girl over there, feeling a little apprehensive.
"That...it can't be the devil girl Eric was talking about, can it?"
Lu Qing squinted at it, a glint of light flashing in his eyes:
"Feifei, you seem to have guessed right!"
"What a devilish girl!" Gu Fei exclaimed.
Lu Qing: "She is not a demon, but a demon's bait."
As they were talking, the people from the house came to the girl's side, and several soft-hearted girls were already discussing taking her back.
Liu Manyun kindly reminded them loudly:
"Hello!!!"
"You guys over there, you'd better not take her back. You should call the police!"
Upon hearing the sound, the group of people all turned to look in their direction.
"Even if we need to call the police, we should take her home first. She's such a young child. What if she gets into danger if we leave her here alone?"
Liu Manyun: "If you take her back, you'll be in danger."
"What do you mean?" one of the men asked, sounding somewhat annoyed.
Liu Manyun: "Have you heard the story of the devil girl? The devil girl would pretend to be injured to lure kind people to rescue her, and then cut off their heads."
The group clearly didn't believe it; some sneered disdainfully, while others glared angrily at Liu Manyun.
"If you don't want to save us, fine, but you're trying to scare us!"
"What devilish girl? We're not easily scared!"
"Alright! Stop arguing with her, take the child home quickly, and then call the police!"
The group took the children back to their house.
Lu Qing and the others watched from a distance.
Suddenly, the girl's gaze fell upon them, and she grinned, revealing a sinister smile.
