Lu Qing looked up and saw that the man in front of her was about thirty years old, wearing a floral shirt and sunglasses, with a nonchalant attitude.
Lu Qing answered him while eating:
“I’m not alone, my fiancé went to buy me food.”
Upon hearing this, the man chuckled, looking incredulous.
"Little sister, at least think before you lie, okay? At your age, you've probably only been in a few relationships, how could you possibly have a fiancé?"
Lu Qing rolled her eyes at the man: "Believe it or not."
The man grinned and moved closer.
"Little sister, don't be afraid. I'm not a bad person. I just want to buy you a drink!"
As he spoke, the man went to a nearby stall, grabbed a bottle of beer, and then lifted his shirt to reveal his well-developed abs.
"Little sister, watch me show you how I open a beer bottle with my abs!"
The man rubbed the beer bottle against his abs, and then there was a loud bang as the bottle popped open, splattering beer everywhere.
Lu Qing quickly grabbed a plastic bag from the side to cover herself, thus avoiding getting dirty.
"Little sister, how do I look? Am I handsome?"
The man waited smugly for Lu Qing to look at him with admiration, but clearly, he failed.
Because of him, the skewers in Lu Qing's hands didn't smell good anymore; they were too oily!
Most importantly, he splashed beer all over the food on her table, and the beer bottle cap that popped off landed right in the casserole she was eating.
Looking at the mess in front of him, Lu Qing's face suddenly turned as dark as ink.
"How dare you dirty my food!"
"That's absolutely outrageous!"
Lu Qing slammed his fist on the table, snapping up several metal skewers left over from eating skewers, which flew out with a flick of his hand.
Seven or eight iron skewers shot straight at the man, and with a few thuds, they pierced through his clothes and pinned him to the opposite wall.
The man was stunned. After a long while, he shakily gave a thumbs up:
"Wow, amazing... truly a master!"
When Gu Xicheng returned, Lu Qing's table was already full of new grilled skewers, while the ones that had been stained with beer were placed on the floor.
A man was nailed to the wall opposite the table, his head hanging limply.
"Qingqing, what happened?" Gu Xicheng asked.
Just as Lu Qing was about to speak, she heard the man exclaim in surprise:
"Old Gu! Gu Xicheng!!"
Gu Xicheng turned his head and was also stunned when he saw the man nailed to the wall:
"Shi Hexuan?"
"It really is you! Old Gu, it's been so long!" Shi Hexuan was overjoyed.
Lu Qing turned her head in confusion: "You two know each other?"
Gu Xicheng nodded slightly: "He's a college classmate of mine and Wang Dalong. We were in the same year."
Shi Hexuan nodded like a chick pecking at rice.
"Yes, yes, yes! Lao Gu and I are best buddies. Although we haven't kept in touch much since graduation, our brotherhood from back then is still there!"
"Old Gu, is this your girlfriend? Please tell her to put me down!" Shi Hexuan pleaded with a bitter face.
"Shut up!" Lu Qing threw another skewer over, which stuck straight between her legs.
Shi Hexuan immediately shut his mouth and looked at Gu Xicheng with pleading eyes.
Gu Xicheng knew Shi Hexuan's true nature very well. Back in college, he was a womanizer and would be unable to resist pretty girls.
Qingqing, who probably came to chat him up, ended up getting beaten up instead.
At this moment, Gu Xicheng couldn't care less about brotherhood.
"Shi Hexuan, after all these years, you haven't changed your bad habits at all!" Gu Xicheng said coldly.
Shi Hexuan couldn't help but shiver:
"Well! I didn't know she was your girlfriend!"
"I understand the principle that one should not covet one's brother's wife. If I had known earlier that the fiancé she was talking about was you, I wouldn't have dared to flirt with her even if I had ten times the courage!"
Gu Xicheng ignored him and proceeded to open the snacks he had just bought for Lu Qing one by one.
Lu Qing's mood improved considerably after enjoying the delicious food.
"What's with all this food on the ground? Is it dirty?" Gu Xicheng asked.
Speaking of this, Lu Qing glared fiercely at Shi Hexuan again:
"This guy was showing off his abs by opening a beer, and then he spilled the beer all over me, and even dropped the bottle cap into my bowl, so I didn't want to eat anymore."
Upon hearing this, Gu Xicheng looked at Shi Hexuan with a sinister gaze:
"Abs while drinking beer?"
"Shi Hexuan, you're even more capable than before!"
Shi Hexuan smiled awkwardly: "I'm just putting on a show for my sister-in-law!"
Gu Xicheng looked at the food on the ground, then at Shi Hexuan, and suddenly came up with a great idea.
"Qingqing, why don't we put him down and let him eat all of this? It's just beer that got splashed on, it's not dirty, we can't waste it."
Lu Qing was just worrying about what to do with these things when he heard this, and his eyes lit up:
"Great idea!"
She waved her hand gently, and the iron skewer stuck in Shi Hexuan fell off.
Shi Hexuan was finally able to move and couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.
Gu Xicheng beckoned to him with his finger: "Come here!"
Shi Hexuan immediately ran over excitedly: "Old Gu, thanks!"
Gu Xicheng gave a forced smile: "You're welcome!"
Then he threw a large bag of fried skewers, grilled meat, and braised pig's trotters in front of him:
"Eat all of this, or I'll nail it back on!"
"What???"
Shi Hexuan stared wide-eyed at the food in front of him, enough to feed three strong, adult men.
"You want me to eat all of this by myself???"
Gu Xicheng: "You made it dirty, so don't waste it, eat it all!"
Shi Hexuan shook his head repeatedly: "I won't eat! If I eat all this, my abs will be gone!"
He had barely finished speaking when a metal skewer slammed into the table. Lu Qing stared at him menacingly.
Do you want some?
"Eat! Let's eat! How can we not eat something so delicious!"
Shi Hexuan quickly grabbed a skewer and stuffed it into his mouth, nodding as he ate:
"Mmm! It smells so good! It tastes like beer, even better!"
Lu Qing and Gu Xicheng exchanged a glance and couldn't help but smile.
After eating a third of it, Shi Hexuan felt full.
"Old Gu, sister-in-law, I can't eat anymore!"
Lu Qing: "Even if you can't eat it, you have to eat it. You made this mess, so don't waste it!"
Shi Hexuan: "How about this, can I pack it all up and take it home? I promise I won't waste a single scallion!"
Gu Xicheng looked up at him and said coldly:
"Keep eating!"
"Old Gu, I really can't eat anymore, I'm going to throw up if I eat any more!" Shi Hexuan pleaded, clasping his hands together.
Lu Qing waved the skewer: "Either eat it, or I'll nail you to the wall again, write 'pervert' on your face, and let everyone come and see you!"
Shi Hexuan couldn't help but grit his teeth, pointing at Lu Qing and Gu Xicheng:
"You two are truly a perfect match, each one more ruthless than the other!"
"Okay! I'll eat it!"
Shi Hexuan gritted his teeth and continued stuffing food into his mouth, while secretly taking out his phone to send a distress signal.
