Lu Qing raised an eyebrow and smiled:
"She seems a bit timid. If you scare her a little, you should succeed quickly."
Qin Wang looked at her, and the two smiled at each other.
Qin Wang followed Lin Na from a distance, watching her return to the hotel before going inside himself a while later.
Lin Na was packing her things when she saw Qin Wang return, and she was so startled that her clothes fell to the ground.
"Why are you packing? Are you going back?" Qin Wang asked softly.
If Qin Wang had spoken so gently before, Lin Na would have happily rushed over, but now, her eyes were filled with fear.
Qin Wang continued to approach, smiling as he asked:
Why aren't you saying anything?
Linna suddenly snapped back to reality and forced a smile:
"I...I just suddenly have some work-related issues and I have to go back."
"Then I'll go back with you. Anyway, I've almost finished with things here."
Linna: "No need! You go about your own business, I can go back by myself."
Qin Wang picked up Lin Na's clothes that had fallen to the ground, folded them one by one, and stuffed them into his suitcase, laughing as he did so:
"I'll have to go back sooner or later anyway, so I'll go with you so you won't suspect that I have another woman by my side."
Seeing that she could no longer stop her, Linna had no choice but to agree.
On the way back, Lin Na was on tenterhooks, but Qin Wang, as usual, did not do anything unusual.
But that's what made Linna even more nervous.
That evening after returning home, Lin Na couldn't help but feel afraid as she thought about the conversation between Qin Wang and Lu Qing that she had overheard during the day.
Has Qin Wang regained his strength?
But his father clearly said that with that thing around, Qin Wang would only ever be an ordinary person in his life.
Could it be that the thing broke down after being left for a long time?
Linna became increasingly worried.
She had to go and see for herself, otherwise she wouldn't feel at ease.
"Qin Wang! Qin Wang, are you asleep?"
Lin Na spoke softly, but Qin Wang, who was sleeping next to her, did not respond.
Linna breathed a slight sigh of relief, then quietly put on her clothes, got out of bed, and left.
As soon as she left, Qin Wang woke up, but instead of chasing after Lin Na, he took out a small paper figure from under his pillow.
This paper figure was given to him by Lu Qing, who said it was a gift from Qin Yuebai to him before.
He took it back to use, so it shouldn't be considered that Lu Qing helped him.
Qin Wang dripped his blood onto the paper figure, and the paper figure immediately came to life.
"Go, follow her!"
The paper figure nodded to him and then followed Lina.
Linna drove away, and the paper figure sat in the back seat.
Linna's tense expression could be seen in the rearview mirror; she gripped the steering wheel tightly with both hands, and the car was speeding at almost 100 miles per hour.
The car drove into the countryside and stopped in front of an uninhabited bungalow.
Linna quickly got out of the car, looked around, and only went inside after making sure no one was there.
The little paper figure followed closely behind Linna, hiding in the corner and watching.
Linna took a key out of her bag and opened the door to the house.
No one has lived there for a long time; it's covered in cobwebs and dust.
Linna turned on her phone's flashlight and went to the bedroom on the right. The bedroom door was made of iron and had a lock on it.
The key was hanging around Linna's neck, shaped like a necklace.
The bedroom door opened, revealing an altar with a statue of Zhong Kui on it.
Linna walked over, knelt on the prayer mat and bowed several times, then lifted the floorboards under the offering table.
There was a small space under the floor, where a pagoda the size of a palm was placed.
Linna took out the pagoda and squinted as she looked inside.
Inside the pagoda is sealed a miniature version of Qin Yuebai, with a wisp of Qi emanating a holy white light.
Seeing that the seal was intact, Linna breathed a sigh of relief.
"Thank goodness you're alright!"
Her father said that as long as the seal doesn't break, even if Qin Wang suspects something, he won't be able to remember everything.
If he exhibits any abnormalities, simply dripping his blood into the pagoda will cause the pagoda to once again strip away the Qi from Qin Wang's body, preventing him from ever breaking free from the shackles in his mind.
Linna dripped blood from a small porcelain bottle into the pagoda.
The pagoda immediately began to spin.
Qin Wang felt that something was wrong with his body.
It felt like something wandered around inside my body, but it didn't find anything and quickly disappeared.
Linna put the pagoda back, locked the door, and then drove home.
She got home an hour later and saw that Qin Wang was still fast asleep. She breathed a slight sigh of relief, took off her coat, lay down next to him, and leaned on his shoulder.
"Qin Wang, you're all I have left. I won't let you leave me!"
Linna was so tired that she fell into a deep sleep after relaxing.
In the darkness, Qin Wang suddenly opened his eyes, turned his head to look at Lin Na, then turned over to face away from her and closed his eyes again.
He now knows where the item is hidden, but he's not in a hurry to go there.
The next morning, Qin Wang served breakfast to Lin Na as if he knew nothing.
"I need to go to the company. I've put your breakfast on the table."
Lin Na opened her eyes, looked at Qin Wang, and her face was full of a happy smile:
"Are you coming back at noon?"
Qin Wang: "Of course I'll be back. There's not much to do, I'll be back soon. Didn't you say you had something come up yesterday? Why are you up so late today?"
Lin Na's eyes flickered slightly: "I'll go to the company in a bit."
Qin Wang walked to the bedside, gently stroked Lin Na's hair, and smiled tenderly:
"Then I'll wait for you to come back for lunch. What would you like to eat?"
Lin Na was so engrossed in Qin Wang's gentle smile that she didn't notice the subtle movements in his hands.
I want to eat your sweet and sour fish.
Qin Wang: "Okay, I'll make it for you when I get back."
Qin Wang grabbed his coat and turned to leave. Once outside, he looked at the piece of clay in his hand, his gaze darkening slightly.
With the key imprint in hand, Qin Wang easily made a second key.
The little paper figure led him to the house Linna had visited the previous night, where they found the pagoda hidden under the offering table.
Qin Wang took a picture and sent it to Lu Qing:
[Found it, but I don't know how to get the power back.]
Lu Qing was in class and her phone was on silent, so she didn't see the message.
At that moment, the neighbor next door saw someone inside and called Lin Na:
"Xiao Na, it looks like someone broke into your old house. Do you want to come back and take a look?"
Upon hearing this, Lin Na immediately got out of bed:
"What! Auntie, did you see who went in?"
"It looks like your boyfriend!"
Lin Na's eyes narrowed immediately. She hurriedly video-called Qin Wang, but he rejected the call and sent her a message: "[In a meeting, I'll talk to you later.]"
Upon seeing this, Linna didn't even bother to put on her clothes and hurriedly drove over.
Half an hour later, Lu Qing finally saw the message after class ended, and she quickly replied:
That's the Demon-Suppressing Tower where exorcists seal demons. It has an array on it, and the key to the array is on the six-pointed star at the top of the tower. Your blood should be able to draw out your power.
Qin Wang immediately cut his finger and was about to drip blood onto it when Lin Na appeared.
