Chapter 227 Leng Wei's Death

Lin Na frantically sent messages and made phone calls to Qin Yuebai, but received no response.

She didn't know how much time had passed before she collapsed weakly to the ground.

Just yesterday, everything was fine.

When did Qin Yuebai first notice the anomaly?

Linna hugged herself, trying hard to recall everything that had happened during this time.

A moment later, her gaze darkened: "It's Lu Qing!"

Qin Yuebai's transformation occurred after she arrived in Kyoto and met Lu Qing.

It was Lu Qing, she ruined everything!

A flash of resentment crossed Linna's eyes.

"Lu Qing, you ruined my life, I will never let you get away with this!"

Lu Qing sneezed violently over here.

"Achoo!"

Lu Qing rubbed her nose and muttered, "Who's insulting me?"

"Qingqing, your get out of class is over!"

Gu Fei walked briskly from the direction of the library, carrying books, with Ruan Yinchen following closely behind, helping her carry the books.

Gu Fei looked around but didn't see Leng Wei, Yang Xiwen, or Cheng Yiyi.

"Where are they? Why aren't they with you?" Gu Fei asked.

Lu Qing said helplessly, "The three of them were kept behind by the teacher."

"Huh? Why?" Gu Fei asked.

Lu Qing: "Cheng Yiyi and Yang Xiwen are getting scolded right now because their homework was unsatisfactory, and Leng Wei was caught reading a novel in class by the homeroom teacher!"

Gu Fei smiled helplessly.

"Looks like I'll have to keep an eye on them when I get back."

Gu Fei, the top student, is like a private tutor in the dormitory, urging everyone in the dormitory to study hard every day.

Cheng Yiyi and Yang Xiwen, those two lazybones, were doing quite well under her supervision before, but recently Gu Fei has been busy taking certification exams and has neglected to discipline them.

And so, the two of them began to slack off.

As for Leng Wei, she wasn't particularly diligent either. She relied solely on her excellent genes, and she learned many things on her own, so homework was naturally no problem for her.

As for Lu Qing, the only things that could make her diligent were catching ghosts and exorcising demons.

Fortunately, she knew Wenquxing (a deity associated with literature and scholarship), and with someone above her helping to improve her intelligence, even simple homework was no challenge for her.

"Oh, right! Tomorrow's Saturday, no classes. Ruan Yinchen gave us some theater tickets, let's go together!" Gu Fei said with a smile.

"A play? What play?" Lu Qing asked.

Ruan Yinchen: "My uncle starred in The Ninth Identity. This is the first show of the national tour in Kyoto. Tickets for his plays are always hard to come by."

"Wow, that's amazing! We'll take a look thanks to you."

Gu Xicheng is going on a business trip to meet clients again this week, and there's no one to keep her company. It's nice to have something to do.

"They should be out soon. Let's go to the teacher's office and wait for them!"

"good!"

The three of them arrived downstairs at the teacher's office, and soon after, they came out looking dejected.

"How was it? You didn't cry when you were being scolded, did you?" Lu Qing teased.

Cheng Yiyi and Yang Xiwen looked fine, but Leng Wei, who had the thickest skin, looked very unpleasant.

"We're fine! It's not like we haven't been scolded before. We can just redo the assignment and hand it in, but Leng Wei..."

Cheng Yiyi and Yang Xiwen looked at Leng Wei with strange expressions, as if they wanted to say something but hesitated.

Lu Qing's brows furrowed immediately:

"Just being a little distracted in class, the homeroom teacher wouldn't punish you severely, would they?"

Cheng Yiyi: "It would be better if it were a hard punishment."

Gu Fei asked Leng Wei, puzzled, "What do you mean? What did your class advisor do to you?"

Leng Wei looked up, her eyes red-rimmed, and upon hearing these words, she couldn't help but burst into tears.

"Waaaaah..."

"Qingqing, Feifei, I'm so ashamed to face anyone!"

Lu Qing: "For someone as shameless as you to cry like this, I hope the homeroom teacher won't beat you up!"

"I wish she would hit me!" Leng Wei cried.

"So what exactly did she do to you?" Gu Fei asked anxiously.

Leng Wei sobbed and couldn't explain clearly, but in the end Yang Xiwen revealed the reason.

"The homeroom teacher neither hit her nor scolded her; he simply made her read a passage from the novel she was reading in front of all the teachers."

Gu Fei: "So what if you read it? What's there to cry about?"

Cheng Yiyi opened the novel Leng Wei was reading and showed Gu Fei the passage she had read aloud:

"You'll understand why once you see it."

Gu Fei looked at her phone screen:

"Zhao Chengyun lowered his head and kissed Li Le before she could react... The kiss was passionate and intense..."

After reading this passage, Gu Fei's lips twitched involuntarily.

If it were a regular novel plot, that would be fine, but it's a romance story.

If it were a romance, that would be fine, but it's a romance between two men.

If it were a love story between two men, that would be fine, but they chose such an ambiguous scene.

The buffs are practically maxed out!

To read this passage aloud in front of so many teachers, you can imagine how incredibly embarrassing that would be.

"The office is full of teachers from our department. I'll have to wear a mask every time I go to class from now on," Leng Wei said, covering her face and crying.

Lu Qing was both amused and exasperated: "Who told you to read novels during class?"

"It's because there's only so much time between classes. I only had a few chapters left, and I felt really bad if I didn't finish reading them. Who would have thought that the class advisor would do a surprise inspection?" Leng Wei pouted and said aggrievedly.

"Alright! The teachers should forget about it in a few days, it's alright," Lu Qing said with a smile.

Leng Wei looked at Lu Qing expectantly:

"Qingqing, can you cast a spell to make the teachers forget what just happened?"

Lu Qing rolled her eyes at her:

"Of course not! You can't just use magic like that!"

"What should I do? I'm too ashamed to go to class!" Leng Wei hung her head, looking like a defeated hen.

"Alright, stop thinking about it. Let's go eat first. I'll order some dishes from Little Imperial Chef. What would you like to eat?" Lu Qing asked.

"It doesn't matter what we eat, but with your appetite, you'll definitely order one of everything on the menu," Gu Fei said with a smile.

Lu Qing nodded: "That's right, then I'll check them all."

Just as Lu Qing was about to place the order, Leng Wei suddenly raised her hand timidly:

"Give me another bottle of wine, I want to drink myself into oblivion."

Lu Qing chuckled: "Alright, here's a bottle of wine for you, let's see how much you can drink."

Lu Qing added a bottle of plum wine; it wasn't very strong, but it was enough to help Leng Wei drown her sorrows.

Because of Ruan Yinchen, Lu Qing and the others didn't eat in the dormitory, but instead found a place in the cafeteria.

Just as the takeout arrived, Tang Yu came over with the milk tea he had ordered for everyone.

"For the sake of milk tea, could you take me with you?"

Tang Yu kept his eyes fixed on Leng Wei as he spoke, but Leng Wei had no time to pay attention to him at the moment.

Seeing Leng Wei listlessly silent, Tang Yu quickly asked Lu Qing:

"What's wrong with her?"

Lu Qing whispered the story of Leng Wei's death to him, and Tang Yu couldn't help but laugh out loud after hearing it.

Hearing the laughter, Leng Wei glared at him with a sharp look.

"What are you laughing at! What's so funny!"

Tang Yu waved his hands repeatedly: "It's not funny! It's not funny!"

Leng Wei lowered her head again, pouting as she said:

"Fine! Laugh all you want, I find it quite funny!"
