Chapter 232 Returning to Alma Mater

Gu Xicheng raised an eyebrow: "Most people would definitely not allow it, but I can."

Lu Qing: "What? Is Young Master Gu going to abuse his power and demand special privileges?"

"Your husband used to be a regular on the school's honor roll. Does he need to bully others?" Gu Xicheng said smugly.

Lu Qing chuckled, then clapped her hands exaggeratedly:

"Wow! Is Young Master Gu really that amazing? I'd better stay away from you, lest your brilliance blind me!"

Gu Xicheng: "That won't do! I'll buy you sunglasses, but you're not allowed to go far away from them."

His earnest attempt to amuse Lu Qing made the meal exceptionally enjoyable.

After breakfast, my body felt warm.

The students had almost all gone into their classrooms, and the doorway was much quieter.

Gu Xicheng pulled Lu Qing to the guardhouse and knocked on the tightly closed window:

"Sir, open the door!"

The gatekeeper walked to the window and was taken aback when he saw Gu Xicheng:

"You are...you are that..."

The old man racked his brains before finally remembering:

"Gu Xicheng! Yes! I remember now, you are Gu Xicheng!"

"Grandpa, you still remember me!" Gu Xicheng said with a smile.

The gatekeeper nodded with a smile:

"I remember! You were the first student in our school to win every competition award, beating out a bunch of teachers. How could I forget you! You're still number one on the school's honor roll!"

"Did you come back for something?"

Gu Xicheng glanced at Lu Qing and smiled:

"It's okay, my wife wants to see what my high school looks like. Can I take her in?"

"You're married!"

The gatekeeper looked at Lu Qing, his eyes crinkling with laughter:

"Not bad, not bad! The girl is pretty and nice-looking, a good match for you!"

"Can we go in?" Gu Xicheng asked.

"Yes! Of course! Just register here, and remember to register through this gate when you leave!"

"good!"

Gu Xicheng wrote his name in a flourish, then pulled Lu Qing along as they jogged into the school.

Walking on the campus roads, the air feels fresher.

Although it's not spring yet and there aren't many flowers and plants to see, the atmosphere on campus is just different from outside.

"That's the teaching building where we used to have classes, but it seems to have been converted into a laboratory now."

Gu Xicheng pulled Lu Qing over.

The laboratory building is very quiet when there are no lab classes; only the faint sound of teachers lecturing can be heard from upstairs.

The two passed several classrooms, all of which were empty except for a few desks and chairs.

Gu Xicheng seemed to suddenly remember something, pushed open the door of one of the classrooms, and walked to a desk in the corner:

"Found it! That's it!"

Lu Qing: "Is this the desk you used to use?"

Gu Xicheng nodded, then took out a strip of paper rolled into the shape of a straw from the gap under the desk.

"I never thought it would still be here after all these years."

"What's written on this? It's not a love letter, is it?" Lu Qing curiously leaned over to take a look.

"Yes and no," Gu Xicheng said with a mysterious smile.

Lu Qing took the note and opened it. It turned out to be a sketch of a chubby little girl.

"This is...me??"

Lu Qing looked at Gu Xicheng with a questioning gaze.

Gu Xicheng nodded: "If it wasn't you, who else could it be?"

Lu Qing: "Why would you suddenly draw what I looked like when I was a child when you were in high school?"

“I don’t know either. I had a dream during my lunch break that day. I dreamt of the scene when I first met you on Yutai Mountain when I was a child. After I woke up, I unconsciously drew it.”

"After I came to my senses, I realized something was wrong, so I rolled up the painting and stuffed it into a crevice. Once I did, I forgot about it. I never expected it to be preserved to this day."

Upon hearing this, Lu Qing raised an eyebrow and teased:

"So someone had been deeply in love with me all along without realizing it. I wonder who it was that was so fierce when they first met me. Anyone who didn't know better would have thought you hated me!"

Gu Xicheng pulled Lu Qing into his arms and laughed:

"As you said, that was the first time we met after we grew up. Grandma was even unconscious. I acted in a moment of panic; it wasn't intentional."

"You think you can make me forgive you just by saying it wasn't intentional? Do you think I'm that easy to fool?!"

"Then...how about this?"

Gu Xicheng lifted Lu Qing onto the desk and then lowered his head to kiss her.

The kiss was brief, and Gu Xicheng smiled as he whispered in Lu Qing's ear:

Will this make them feel better?

Lu Qing: "No!"

"Then... let's continue!"

Gu Xicheng kissed her again, slowly and relentlessly, until he finally stopped.

"Are you still angry?" Gu Xicheng asked in a low voice.

Lu Qing lowered her eyes shyly and shook her head slightly.

Gu Xicheng lifted her off the desk: "Okay, let's go look at other places."

"Um!"

Just as the two were about to leave, they heard a noise coming from the classroom next door.

"Director Lü, please! No!"

"Teacher Xiaoting, what are you afraid of? I'm not going to eat you."

Gu Xicheng and Lu Qing exchanged a glance, then tiptoed out of the classroom and peered through the window next door.

Inside the classroom, a man and a woman stood facing each other. The woman was trembling with fear, her head bowed as she backed away step by step, while the man's face was full of a sinister grin, as if he was about to get away with something.

"Teacher Xiaoting, if you spend a few more days with me, your name will definitely be nominated for this year's Outstanding Teacher Award."

Jiang Xiaoting shook her head, trembling:

"No! I don't want to! Let me go!"

"Teacher Xiaoting, please give in to me, I won't treat you badly!"

Just as the man lunged forward, the classroom door was kicked open.

"Lu Jiayuan, it seems the pain of your broken leg back then hasn't taught you a lesson!"

That's right, this person is Lü Jiayuan!

He turned around and was also shocked to see that the person who came was Gu Xicheng:

"Gu Xicheng, what are you doing here?"

Gu Xicheng glanced around, found a broken table leg, and weighed it in his hand:

"Feels good. Would you like your other leg too?"

At this point, Lü Jiayuan inexplicably felt a pain in her leg.

"Gu Xicheng, you've ruined my plans again! Just you wait!"

After uttering only one harsh word, Lü Jiayuan slunk away.

Jiang Xiaoting was so frightened that she collapsed to the ground, hugging herself and crying bitterly.

Lu Qing stepped forward and gently patted her back:

"You're alright now. Do you need me to take you to the hospital?"

Jiang Xiaoting shook her head, choking back tears: "No need, thank you!"

Lu Qing showed her the video he had just taken:

"We have the evidence. Do you need to call the police?"

Jiang Xiaoting was silent for a moment, then shook her head:

"What good is calling the police? They can't do anything to him. In the end, he gets away with nothing, but I'm going to lose the job I worked so hard to get."

"How could the police not be able to handle it?" Lu Qing asked, frowning.

"If the police could have controlled it, Teacher Song wouldn't have died!" Jiang Xiaoting said through gritted teeth.
