When the nanny, Sister Feng, came in to clean, she saw Li Ningqiang lying on the ground and quickly went to help him up.
"Sir, sir, what's wrong?"
Sister Feng is a Buddhist, and she always wears incense ash from a Buddhist temple around her neck.
The moment it touched Li Ningqiang, the incense ash inside the glass suddenly exploded.
A piercing scream rang out, startling Sister Feng, who quickly clasped her hands together in prayer.
"May Buddha protect us! May Buddha protect us!"
Soon, Li Ningqiang was taken to the hospital by ambulance, and Li Mengmeng went with him.
Li Ningqiang survived after emergency treatment, but he remains unconscious, and even the doctors don't know when he will wake up.
As for the cause of the coma, the doctor said it was due to external force.
Li Mengmeng was startled when she saw the two finger marks on Li Ningqiang's neck.
She gestured with her hand, and the finger marks were clearly the kind that only a very young child could have. But how could a child have the strength to pinch so deeply?
Li Mengmeng hurriedly went to find Sister Feng to ask what was going on, but Sister Feng was kneeling on the ground, praying to Buddha.
"May Buddha protect you, little devils, begone! May Buddha protect you, little devils, begone!"
"Sister Feng! Sister Feng!!"
Li Mengmeng grabbed her:
"Sister Feng, what are you doing? How did my dad get into this accident?"
"Shh!"
Sister Feng looked around in alarm and lowered her voice:
"Miss, please keep your voice down, lest you startle that little devil and it will come after you again!"
Li Mengmeng was so angry she laughed: "What brat! There are no ghosts in this world!"
"Sister Feng, I'm asking you, how exactly did my father get into this accident? Answer me!"
Sister Feng's face showed even greater terror:
"Miss, sir... sir was harmed by that little devil. You'd better pray to Buddha and ask Buddha to protect that little devil from haunting you!"
Li Mengmeng was so angry she was speechless. She didn't believe in any little devils!
Someone must be deliberately playing tricks to harm her father!
Li Mengmeng decided to go back and check the surveillance footage; once she had evidence, she could call the police.
But when she returned home, her once cozy home was eerily quiet.
The nanny and housekeeper were not there; the villa was empty, and she could even hear her own breathing.
Li Mengmeng was a little scared, but then she thought, this is her home, what is she afraid of!
"I don't believe in ghosts!"
Li Mengmeng took a deep breath and mustered her courage to walk towards the monitoring room.
Strangely, the security guard who is usually in charge of security in the monitoring room is not here. I don't know if it's psychological or a power problem, but the lights also seem to be much dimmer than usual.
"Such a big thing happened, and the security guard wasn't even there. I'm definitely firing him tomorrow!"
Li Mengmeng sat down in front of the surveillance camera to investigate.
She rewound the surveillance footage to two hours earlier, starting from when Li Ningqiang entered the medical room to receive oxygen.
Li Mengmeng's eyes were fixed on the screen, completely unaware that the door behind her had opened.
Small, blood-red footprints appeared on the ground, stretching towards her.
When she saw Li Ningqiang suddenly clutch his neck and fall off the chair, Li Mengmeng jumped up to get a better look.
But she accidentally bumped into the power cord underneath, the power cord came loose, and the image on the screen disappeared instantly.
What came into view was a round baby's head, which was standing on the back of the chair, with its two hands slowly reaching towards her neck.
"ah!!!"
Li Mengmeng screamed in fright, instinctively grabbed the water glass on the table and smashed it behind her before running away.
But the ghost baby didn't give her that chance.
The door slammed shut, pinching Li Mengmeng's hand and causing her to cry out in pain.
She slumped down by the door, backing away little by little.
The ghost baby crawled toward her with a grin:
"Sister, sister, will you play with me? Hehehe..."
Li Mengmeng retreated to the corner, wailing and crying, pleading for help between sobs:
"Help! Help me!!"
"Don't come any closer!"
"Who are you? Why are you trying to harm me and my father?"
Just as the ghost baby was about to grab Li Mengmeng, the door was suddenly kicked open, and Sister Feng rushed in.
"Miss, let's go!"
Sister Feng grabbed a handful of incense ash and scattered it on the ground. The Buddhist power within the incense ash temporarily halted the ghost baby's actions.
She was also able to take the opportunity to escape with Li Mengmeng.
The ghost baby stared in the direction they had fled, a sinister and eerie smile on its face.
"Dad, sister, you can't escape!"
Here, Sister Feng took Li Mengmeng to a Buddhist temple in the city.
The temple was small, with only a few monks inside. The abbot was an old monk with a white beard, nearly ninety years old.
As soon as Sister Feng came in, she knelt down with a thud:
"Master Yuanji, please save my young lady!"
Li Mengmeng also knelt down, following suit:
"Master, please save me!"
The old monk opened his eyes and sighed:
"Please leave, gentlemen. I cannot help you with this matter!"
“Master, we haven’t even explained what it is, how do you know you can’t help?” Li Mengmeng asked.
“Your forehead is dark and you are surrounded by malevolent energy. You must be possessed by a ghost and your life is nearing its end. Why ask any more questions?” the old monk replied calmly.
Seeing that the old monk had so easily identified the problem, Li Mengmeng was overjoyed:
"Master, you recognized him so easily; you must be a highly accomplished monk!"
"Please help me think of a way, I don't want to die!"
Sister Feng also pleaded, "Master, monks are compassionate, please save my young lady!"
The old monk looked at Li Mengmeng, then sighed:
"If you had come to me for help two days ago, I could have shown you a way out. But now that you have blocked that path yourself, I have no way to help you!"
Li Mengmeng asked, puzzled, "Master, what do you mean? Please explain!"
After a moment of silence, the old monk said:
"I can tell you this way to survive, but whether you are willing to take it, and whether you can take it, depends on your own fate."
Li Mengmeng nodded repeatedly: "Master, please speak!"
"In Qingyun City and Yutai Mountain, a master's disciple settles grudges and subdues evil spirits, only then can one live!"
Li Mengmeng thought about it carefully, then exclaimed:
You mean Lu Qing!
Li Mengmeng had seen Lu Qing's enrollment information; his home address was Yutai Temple in Qingyun City.
The old monk said, "I don't know that person's name, but her master, Yu Hengzi, was once the number one person in the Xuanmen sect. She is your only way out!"
"You want me to beg Lu Qing?!" Li Mengmeng roared in anger.
"Impossible! I would rather die than beg Lu Qing for help!"
As soon as she finished speaking, she suddenly remembered that Lu Qing seemed to have said that her father was not long for life.
However, she was angry at the time and only thought that Lu Qing was cursing her father.
“Miss, although I don’t know what grudge you have with that Lu Qing, your life is at stake now. You may not care about yourself, but you can’t not care about your father!” Sister Feng advised.
"dad……"
Thinking of Li Ningqiang, tears welled up in Li Mengmeng's eyes.
From her own perspective, she would rather die than beg Lu Qing for help.
But she couldn't bear to watch her father die before her eyes, and for her father's sake, she compromised.
"Alright! I'll go and beg Lu Qing!"
Li Mengmeng finished speaking through gritted teeth, then turned and left, heading straight for the school.
