Chapter 339 Erin's program is messed up

Lu Qing frowned slightly, hesitated for a moment, and then said:

"Your father's control over you is a bit excessive. Haven't you ever thought about rebelling?"

"Resist?" Tina couldn't help but give a wry smile:

"Easier said than done. What can I do to fight back?"

"Everything I eat, drink, and wear now is provided by him. Without him, I wouldn't even be able to find a job to support myself."

"If I remember correctly, you should have already graduated, right? Haven't you gone out to work?" Gu Xicheng asked, frowning.

Tina: "My job is to try my best to play the role of my mother at home."

Tina took a sip of her drink and said sadly:

“Gu Xicheng, you are my father’s student and friend. You should know how powerful he is. No company would dare to hire me without his approval.”

After a moment of silence, Lu Qing came up with a solution for her:

"Perhaps you can defeat magic with magic!"

Tina asked, puzzled, "What do you mean?"

Lu Qing: "Listen to you, the reason you can't resist is that you lack the means to live independently. Since playing the role of your mother is your job, why don't you get the wages you deserve for it!"

Tina frowned, seemingly understanding but not quite:

"I think I understood a little bit, but not completely. You're telling me to ask my dad for money? He won't give it to me!"

"I won't let you ask for it directly; I'll make him give it to you voluntarily," Lu Qing said with a smile.

Tina still didn't quite understand, so Lu Qing gave her an example:

“Take the piano for example, you might just not like being controlled, rather than you actually being bad at it.”

"If your mother were still alive, her dream would be to become a great piano master. If you tell your father that you have the same dream, he will definitely support you."

"Once you have enough skill, you will be able to create enough value. This value will become your uncontrollable capital. Over time, you will definitely become fully capable."

Tina understood now.

She had only enjoyed the resources provided by her father, but never used them to improve herself, so she had no means to escape her father's control.

"Lu Qing, I understand, thank you!"

After saying that, Tina ran to the piano, sat down, and played a piece earnestly.

This time she played much better than she had played downstairs.

As Lu Qing said, it wasn't that she couldn't play well, but rather that she was unwilling to be controlled by her father and couldn't escape, so she could only rebel in such a small matter.

The sound of the piano drew Jody over.

He suddenly pushed open the door and looked at Tina sitting by the piano, his eyes brimming with tears.

"Eileen, is that you back? Eileen!"

As the song ended, Tina stood up and smiled at Jody:

"Dad, how did I play?"

Jody snapped out of her daze and realized that the person in front of her was Tina, not Eileen.

Disappointment flashed in Jody's eyes, but it quickly turned into relief:

"Tina, how come you suddenly play so well?"

Tina glanced at Lu Qing, then smiled:

"Perhaps my mother in heaven couldn't bear to see me being scolded by you, so she's helping me complete this piece."

"Dad, I promise you, I will practice the piano hard from now on and fulfill Mom's unfulfilled wish!"

Jody was overjoyed: "My God! Tina, you're like a completely different person! Weren't you very resistant to learning piano before?"

"Maybe it's my mom helping me!" Tina said with a smile.

Jody nodded, her voice choked with emotion:

"Okay! Since you're willing, Dad will definitely support you wholeheartedly!"

At this moment, Jody was unaware that an escape plan was already brewing in Tina's mind.

After the banquet ended, Gu Xicheng and Lu Qing prepared to leave.

Tina hugged Lu Qing and said goodbye to her:

"Thank you! One day I will break free from Dad's control and gain my freedom!"

"He is, after all, your father. Don't hurt his feelings too much within your means," Lu Qing advised softly.

Tina: "I understand."

After Gu Xicheng and Lu Qing left, Tina quickly went home as well.

Only Jody remained with a group of Erin to see off the guests.

Jody didn't realize that of the twenty Erinn, only nineteen remained, and one was missing.

After all the guests had left, the sound of a piano suddenly came from upstairs.

The piece she was playing was the one that Eileen used to play for Jody.

Upon hearing the sound, Jody rushed to the room on the second floor. He initially thought it was Tina who hadn't left, but when he opened the door, he saw the android Irene.

Eileen played the piece with focused concentration. Jody was initially shocked, but then realized that it was the android he had made.

He stepped forward slowly and gave the order in a stern voice:

"Eileen, stop!"

Eileen received the instruction, but only paused for a few seconds before continuing to play.

Jody frowned slightly and raised her voice:

"Eileen, I order you to stop!"

This time, Eileen didn't even stop, as if she couldn't hear Jody at all.

Jody immediately pressed the power-off button behind her ear, and Eileen stopped playing.

Jody took out Erin's chip and examined it, finding that there was nothing wrong with the program.

Although all the androids look exactly like Eileen, and have the same behavior and personality preferences, the piano instruction is the only one that has not been programmed into their system.

Because Erin had once told Jody that music has emotion, while robots are cold, she didn't like robots playing piano music.

But then Eileen sat down at the piano and played a very emotional piece, which puzzled Jody.

After checking the chip, Jody put it back and restarted the robot.

Hello, Erin!

Jody gave the command to start, and Eileen immediately opened her eyes:

"Hello, Jody, I'm Erin, ID number 18. Is there anything I can do for you?"

Jody: "Playing the piano."

Eileen: "I'm sorry, I don't have that ability yet!"

Jody breathed a sigh of relief: "Okay, it's alright."

It seems there was just a minor bug in the program; it's fine after a restart.

With that thought in mind, Jody then ordered Eileen to leave the room.

Unbeknownst to him, Eileen suddenly turned and glanced at him as she reached the door. This glance was not cold, but rather filled with affection.

When Eileen came downstairs and saw the other nineteen Eileens, a flash of anger suddenly appeared in her eyes.

Too many people are called Eileen, and she doesn't like it.

A moment later, she suddenly looked up at the automatic fire extinguishing device on the ceiling, then picked up a lighter and lit the curtains.

As the fire grew larger, the smoke successfully affected the device at the top.

After a piercing alarm sounded, the fire extinguishing device sprayed out a large amount of water.

The biggest threat to bionic robots is water getting into their heads, because that's where the chips are located; if they get wet, it will cause a short circuit in the internal circuitry.

After a series of crackling sounds, all nineteen androids closed their eyes, except for one that had already hidden itself where the water couldn't reach.
