Gu Xicheng slammed on the brakes, the wheels screeching against the ground, and it took him a while to bring the car to a stop.
The four people inside the car were thrown forward due to inertia and fell heavily onto the back of their seats.
After regaining their senses, they saw the road conditions ahead through the windshield.
The loud noise just now was the sound of rocks falling from the mountaintop and hitting the ground.
The road ahead was completely blocked by the mud and rocks that had been washed down, and the car was covered in a layer of mud.
Gu Xicheng opened the car door and got out to check the situation.
After a moment, he turned back to Lu Qing and shook his head:
"The road is blocked, we can't get through!"
Lu Qing and Helian Shi also got out of the car, their brows furrowing slightly as they surveyed the road conditions.
"They won't let us go back! Is it fate or human intervention?"
Lu Qing glanced at Sha Luo, who was still sitting in the car. She always felt that this person was hiding something, but whenever she tried to see Sha Luo's face, she was covered by a thick fog.
She couldn't discern his features, nor could she calculate anything related to him.
She really disliked the feeling of being led by the nose.
"Everyone, since we can't leave now, let's turn back and take a look at the Moro tribe's altar!"
Lu Qing and the other two exchanged glances, then tacitly reached a consensus, climbed over the falling rocks blocking their path, abandoned their vehicle, and left.
Shaluo was stunned. This was not what he had imagined.
He quickly chased after him:
"Don't you want your car anymore?"
Gu Xicheng: "It's just a car, it doesn't cost much, if you don't want it, then don't."
Shaluo: "But it's still a long way from home. Are you going to walk back?"
Lu Qing: "I have a Shrinking Earth Talisman, which can shrink the earth to an inch, very quickly."
As he spoke, Lu Qing took out a talisman and vanished from the spot with Gu Xicheng and Helian Shi in a flash.
Shaluo stood alone, bewildered in the wind.
Lu Qing wasn't worried at all that Shaluo would run away; without her, Shaluo would never be able to enter the altar.
The three arrived home quickly. Everyone else was still awake and waiting for them in the living room.
"Qingqing, Xiao Gu, Helian, you're finally back!"
"Have you found that place?"
Lu Qing nodded: "Found it!"
"Don't worry, I already know why Grandpa, Grandma, and Grandpa and Grandma on the other side are in a coma. I'll find a way to save them tomorrow."
Upon hearing this, everyone finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"Alright! Everyone, go and rest. You've had a long day, you need to rest before you have the energy to do anything else," Lu Qing advised.
“You all go to sleep. Your mother and I will take care of your grandparents and maternal grandparents tonight. They are unconscious and need to be taken care of,” Chu Panshan said.
"You don't need to guard it!"
Lu Qing set up a protective barrier around the four elders:
"With the barrier in place, they'll be fine. Mom and Dad, you should both go back to your rooms and rest!"
Lu Qing pushed Chu Panshan and Han Ziyuan into the room, and then urged his brothers to go and rest.
After everyone had left, Shaluo appeared at the door.
Lu Qing walked out and wasn't surprised to see him at all:
"If you want to go into the altar, then wait until we've rested."
Shaluo was clearly angry; his head was throbbing.
"Alright! I've waited this long, one more night won't make a difference."
Lu Qing stretched, turned around and went back into the house, giving a special instruction before closing the door:
"You'd better go far away, or stay invisible like you did during the day, so that only I can see you, otherwise you'll scare the others."
Shaluo snorted coldly and then disappeared from the spot.
Lu Qing went back to her room and had a good night's sleep. The next morning, she got up before dawn.
She met up with Gu Xicheng and Helian Shi at the entrance, left a note, and headed straight for the altar.
Not long after they left, Shaluo followed them.
"You left without calling me, were you trying to ditch me?" Shaluo said angrily.
Lu Qing: "You came along even though I didn't call you."
"You... Hmph!" Knowing she couldn't win an argument with Lu Qing, Shaluo shut up.
Upon arriving at their destination, Lu Qing and the other two, having learned from yesterday's experience, quickly emerged from the illusion of their inner demons, but Sha Luo remained trapped.
Lu Qing found a rope, tied him up, and forcibly dragged him out of the illusion.
Upon arriving at the dragon's head, Shaluo awoke shortly afterward.
Looking at the familiar scene before him, he stood up excitedly:
"This is it! This is it!"
“We just checked, there’s no entrance nearby. Do you remember how to get in?” Lu Qing asked.
Shaluo curled the corners of his mouth:
"Ordinary people certainly don't know the entrance to the Moro clan's altar, because this entrance can only be opened with the blood of a Moro clan member."
As he spoke, Shaluo took out a knife and slashed his palm.
A gust of wind blew, scattering the blood droplets, which then fell into the mountains.
A few seconds later, the mountain beneath our feet began to tremble, and rocks flew up from the distant forest.
Once the earthquake stopped, an entrance hidden by trees appeared before us.
"That's it!"
Shaluo leaped down, but before he even landed, he was pulled by the rope around his waist and hung halfway up the mountain, swinging like a pendulum.
Shaluo roared in fury: "Why are you tying me up? Let me go!"
Lu Qing shrugged:
"This rope was meant to pull you out of the illusion, but who knew you'd be so impatient and jump down before it was even untied."
Shaluo gritted his teeth in anger. If Lu Qing hadn't been useful, he probably would have already taken action.
Lu Qing looked at Gu Xicheng and Helian Shi and smiled:
Let's go!
The three of them dragged Shaluo up to the altar entrance.
Shaluo untied the rope and strode inside.
Lu Qing and the other two immediately followed.
The altar wasn't large, but it got colder the further you went in, and the walls were even covered with a layer of ice.
Shaluo walked very fast, his expression excited.
"Don't you guys think something's off about him?" Lu Qing asked in a low voice.
Gu Xicheng: "Something's not right."
Helian Shi: "Do you really believe what he said last night?"
Lu Qing and Gu Xicheng shook their heads at the same time.
"It's half true and half false, or it might all be false. In any case, let's observe and see first."
At the fork in the road ahead, Shaluo suddenly sped up.
Lu Qing and the others quickly followed, but as soon as they turned around, Sha Luo's figure disappeared.
"This guy was definitely up to something, but luckily I was prepared!"
Lu Qing took out a tracking talisman and quickly sensed Sha Luo's aura.
"He's on the other side, let's go!"
Just as Lu Qing and Gu Xicheng were about to give chase, Helian Shi stopped them:
"Wait! There seems to be something behind this wall!"
Helian Shi fumbled around the wall for a while, then found the mechanism, pressed it gently, and the wall flipped over.
Behind the wall was a mural.
“These are murals depicting the Moro people. The script on them is unique to the Moro people. Do you recognize it?” Helian Shi asked.
Lu Qing helplessly spread his hands: "You don't even know us, how could we possibly..."
Before she could finish speaking, Gu Xicheng looked at the mural and uttered four words:
"Blood Devouring Array!"
Lu Qing was shocked: "Gu Xicheng, you know these Moro characters?"
Gu Xicheng frowned and shook his head slightly:
"I don't recognize them, but I don't know why, I just know what these characters mean."
