Chapter 43 The Origin of Feng Shiliu

Although Jiang Zhiling's attack was fast and fierce, Jiang Deng could always find loopholes in Jiang Zhiling's moves and hit Jiang Zhiling's body with a branch.

On the contrary, Jiang Zhiling not only failed to hit Jiang Deng once, but her body was also sore from being hit by the branches. However, Jiang Zhiling was not discouraged and continued to fight with Jiang Deng with gritted teeth.

For a while, the sound of "ding-dong-dang" continued in the field.

It seemed that it was a little too noisy. A window of Qingfeng Tower opened from the inside. Feng Shiliu stuck his head out and stared at Jiang Deng and Jiang Zhiling below without saying a word.

Jiang Zhiling immediately stopped in embarrassment. She had forgotten that it was early in the morning and Feng Shiliu and Zhan Ji in Qingfeng Tower were still sleeping. She actually woke them up and felt really sorry.

Jiang Deng didn't feel embarrassed at all. Instead, he smiled and called out to the other party: "Feng Shiliu, do you want to come down and practice sword skills with us?"

Feng Shiliu's usually calm expression finally showed a hint of excitement, "Can I, can I too?"

"Of course!"

Hearing Jiang Deng's agreement, Jiang Zhiling also waved excitedly, "Sister Sixteen, come quickly!"

Feng Shiliu's face lit up with joy, and he quickly turned back to his room to change into light clothes. Then he left Qingfeng Tower and started practicing sword with Jiang Deng and Jiang Zhiling.

Seeing this, the female attendant who came to deliver breakfast to Feng Shiliu and Zhan Ji anxiously advised, "Peak Master, Steward Wang said that the two young ladies living in Qingfeng Tower cannot go out..."

Hearing this, the light in Feng Shiliu's eyes dimmed and the smile on her face disappeared. She was about to go back to Qingfeng Tower, not wanting to make things difficult for Jiang Deng because of her own affairs.

"Wait."

Jiang Deng called Feng Shiliu and turned to the female attendant in a bad mood, "Am I the Peak Master, or is Wang Qi the Peak Master? Wang Qi is dead, so there's no need to listen to his nonsense! From today on, you are the manager of Zangfeng. Your job is to do whatever I say!"

"Ah?" The waitress's face was full of disbelief. She, she got promoted just like that?

At first she was confused, but then she was delighted. She never thought that she, Yan Erya, would become a manager one day!

Thinking of the previous manager Wang Qi who always exploited them arrogantly and said they were inferior people, she couldn't help but feel a little proud now that she had become a manager with the same high status as Wang Qi.

Manager Yan straightened her back instantly, and she looked at Jiang Deng with even more respect. "Peak Master, would you like me to prepare breakfast for you?"

Jiang Deng waved his hand, "I don't drink dew! Go kill another spirit beast and cook it however I want, and then prepare portions for these two girls as well."

“Yes, yes!”

Steward Yan happily withdrew, completely forgetting to remind Jiang Deng that the two young ladies living in Qingfeng Tower were not allowed to eat meat. Or perhaps she was very clear that if she wanted to keep her current steward position, she had to treat Jiang Deng's words as an imperial decree.

"Come on, continue." Jiang Deng called Feng Shiliu to continue practicing sword.

However, Feng Shiliu's physical fitness was too poor. After practicing for a while, he was out of breath and could not continue.

Jiang Deng saw that Feng Shiliu was exhausted, so he simply said, "Zhiling, let's sit down and rest for a while."

"good!"

Although Jiang Zhiling was not very tired, she always listened to Jiang Deng and naturally did not refute him. She sat on the ground with Jiang Deng to rest.

"Sister Sixteen, come here!" Jiang Zhiling called out to Feng Sixteen who was standing aside feeling uneasy.

Feng Shiliu saw that the two of them were waiting for her to come over. She couldn't say anything to refuse, so she gritted her teeth and sat down with them.

From childhood to adulthood, she was taught that one should stand properly and sit properly. Sitting directly on the ground like this is really inappropriate!

But... she felt inexplicably relaxed. Even though she was sweating from practicing swordplay, her hair was messy, and her makeup was smudged, she still had the happiest smile on her face.

Seeing that Feng Shiliu was a person worthy of training, Jiang Deng approached him and asked, "Feng Shiliu, do you want to become a disciple of our Cangfeng?"

Having more disciples would be very beneficial to her. Firstly, it would help her shut up Sect Master Su Heng, lest he think she's unfit for the job and find a chance to strip her of her title. Secondly... of course, it would be to get more spirit stones! Hahahaha!

A glimmer of joy flashed across Feng Shiliu's eyes, but as if thinking of something, the light quickly dimmed. Feng Shiliu said glumly, "They won't agree."

"They? Who are they?" Jiang Deng and Jiang Zhiling asked in confusion.

Feng Shiliu bit her teeth lightly, the grievance and anger that she had previously suppressed surged into her heart, "They... are the Sect Master and Peak Masters of the Taichu Sword Sect!"

"What's going on?"

Jiang Deng and Jiang Zhiling looked at each other and keenly realized that this matter was unusual.

Feng Shiliu sighed softly, "Since you know Feng Jiuyou, you should know that he is the ninth prince of the Fenglan Empire. He and I are actually brother and sister."

"Ten years ago, he passed the Taichu Sword Sect's entrance examination and became the sect master's personal disciple. Upon hearing this news, everyone in the Fenglan Empire's court and harem was overjoyed that the royal family could produce a cultivator."

"Last year, after completing his studies, he returned to the Fenglan Empire and told me that the Sect Master had learned of my special physique and wanted to accept me as a disciple. I was overjoyed and said goodbye to my father, the Emperor, and my mother, the Empress Dowager, and followed him to the Taichu Sword Sect."

"But when I arrived at the Taichu Sword Sect, I discovered that it was completely different from what he had said! Not only did the Sect Master not accept me as a disciple, but he also locked me up here, forbidding me from leaving the house. I can only survive by drinking dew all day..."
