Chapter 134 Inn

The Beast City looked somewhat like an ancient city, with high walls enclosing the city. Several orcs stood at the entrances, questioning those entering the city.

Yu Wanwan covered her face with a scarf, leaving only her clear, bright eyes visible.

They found a spot and slowly lined up to enter the city.

The orcs' interrogation was really simple: they would ask where the person came from and what they did, and then they would let the person in.

Yu Wanwan even wondered for a time what the point of such questioning was.

Their turn came quickly, and the city guard asked as always, "Where are you from, and what brings you to Beast City?"

Shunfeng, who was at the front of the group, said, "We came from Qingwan Forest to participate in the qualification selection for the blessing ceremony."

The orc uncle nodded and waved for them to go inside.

The orcs who have been coming to Beast City lately are all here for this matter, so there's nothing else to ask.

Fei Han took Yu Wanwan's hand and they entered the Beast City together.

As Yu Wanwan passed in front of the orc uncle, the orc uncle paused for a moment and said, "Wait a minute."

The crowd was puzzled.

Yu Wanwan, who was carrying the ink boat, stiffened and became somewhat nervous.

Have we been discovered?

Sure enough, the orc uncle looked Yu Wanwan up and down, then asked, "Which beast race are you a female of? Why do you smell like a snake beast?"

Upon hearing the words "snake beast," several more beast soldiers approached, raising their spears and staring at Yu Wanwan and her group.

Fei Han patted Yu Wanwan's head and said calmly, "She is my partner, a female of the Tiger Clan. A few days ago, when we came out, we encountered a snake beast. The female was taken away by the snake beast and then... forced into a partnership."

They had agreed a few days ago that Yu Wanwan was a member of the Tiger Clan.

After all, Yu Wanwan is human and doesn't have a beast form. Although she says she should be considered an ape, she doesn't have any ape scent on her, which might cause unnecessary trouble.

It's more accurate to say she's from the Tiger Clan. Anyway, she carries Bai Jing's scent, so it's not easy for others to tell whether the scent comes from her partner or from her own body.

As soon as Fei Han finished speaking, Yu Wanwan started to fake cry as if she knew what she was doing. She couldn't squeeze out any tears, so she simply buried her face in Fei Han's arms so that no one could see them.

Upon hearing that the young female had been forced into mating, the orc uncle's previously wary expression immediately turned into one of sympathy and regret.

"Cold-blooded orcs are so hateful, little female, don't be too sad."

Yu Wanwan responded sullenly, her voice sounding very aggrieved.

The orc uncle hurriedly said, "Quickly, let's go into the city. The little female has been wronged. Take her to play in the city more, or find a witch doctor to get some medicine. However, the witch doctor is in the inner city, and the price of treatment is quite high. If the little female has recovered, it is better not to take medicine."

Fei Han smiled at the friendly orc uncle, picked up Yu Wanwan with one hand, and walked towards the city.

Only when the city gate was finally out of sight did Yu Wanwan lift her face.

She was crying so pitifully, but she didn't actually shed a single tear. If someone had seen her, they would have known she was lying.

"Feihan, put me down." Yu Wanwan twisted her body, trying to get down from Feihan's arms.

Fei Han patted her bottom and said slowly, "It's okay, let me hold you for a while."

The little female is so light and soft; it's incredibly comfortable to hold her.

Seeing that he held her without much effort, Yu Wanwan stopped struggling and let him hold her, while taking the opportunity to look around Beast City.

Compared to the White Tiger Tribe, Beast City has a more cosmopolitan feel to it.

The streets are wide and bustling with people.

The orcs here don't live in caves like the White Tiger tribe, nor in dilapidated houses like the Elephant tribe.

The houses here resemble modern adobe houses. Most of them are single-story bungalows with walls made of yellow earth. The windows are tall and small, and the doorways are very large, presumably to accommodate the height of the orcs in human form and the size of their beast form.

Looking at these houses, Yu Wanwan felt a sense of familiarity and couldn't help but think of the White Tiger Tribe. If they could build houses like these, given the orcs' reverence for technology, it would definitely be very impressive.

Yu Wanwan kept making plans in her mind, and then Fei Han carried her into a hotel.

This inn is also a single-story building; the front building is the storefront, and the rooms are all in the back courtyard.

It's getting late, so Fei Han plans to find a place to stay first.

The innkeeper was a burly orc who sat idly behind the counter, remaining lazy even when customers came in.

This nonchalant attitude of hers is almost indistinguishable from Mo Zhou's.

Fei Han walked to the counter, tapped on the table, and asked, "How many rooms do you have left?"

The shopkeeper, without looking up, said, "There are five rooms in total, and five more are left. How many do you want?"

Yu Wanwan scratched her face and couldn't help but think to herself: This boss is so arrogant, he seems so powerful.

Just as he was thinking this, Fei Han was even more arrogant. With a wave of her hand, she said directly, "We want them all."

Fei Han's wealth caught the boss's attention, and he finally stood up from his seat. His gaze fell on Yu Wanwan's silk dress, and he finally gave them his first proper look since they entered the store: "You're rich?"

How much for five rooms?

The shopkeeper chuckled, extending his index finger and thumb to form a circle the size of a ping-pong ball: "Do you have that much silver?"

Fei Han used the act of touching the bundle to explore the space. When she touched the amount of silver stored in the space, her expression froze.
