Mo Zhou reminded him again: "Everything requires evidence. Whether you believe him or not, you need evidence."
This time, Fei Han finally noticed the key point. He jumped up from the tree stump, his eyes shining: "Yes, I'm going to find evidence."
Fei Han kissed Yu Wanwan on the cheek and said, "Wanwan, I'm going to find Wang Ye. You stay home and wait for me. If Mo Zhou's cooking is too bad, ask Uncle Fu Yi to help cook."
Even now, he still finds that meal strange. He firmly believes that the delicious meal was either prepared by someone Mo Zhou asked for help, or it was just a fluke, a stroke of luck on his part.
Mo Zhou, who had been sitting indifferently to the side, exploded upon hearing his words, but Fei Han was fast enough to run out of the treehouse before Mo Zhou could pounce on her.
The Beast King's Palace is the most luxurious building in Beast City, covering a vast area. The ground is paved with white bricks and stones, the walls are draped with silk curtains, and dazzling gems and gold and silver are displayed everywhere.
Fei Han entered the Beast King's Palace as if it were empty. The beast soldiers guarding the gate didn't even dare to stop him when they saw him coming. Fei Han didn't need to announce his arrival and just walked in.
The man he was looking for, Wangye, was standing outside the arena with his hands behind his back, watching two orcs duel.
His face was serious at this moment, completely different from the roguish hoodlum Yu Wanwan had seen.
"Bite hard on his left foot!" Wang Ye shouted sharply.
The two white wolves, locked in combat, were extremely tense under the watchful eyes of the Beast King. Upon hearing the Beast King's words, one of the white wolves seized the opportunity and immediately bit the left foot of the other white wolf. The bitten wolf let out a miserable howl and was immediately at a disadvantage.
Fei Han called out, "Look out over the wilderness!"
Wang Ye turned around and his face lit up with a smile the moment he saw Fei Han, reverting to his usual carefree self: "Oh, Fei Han, what brings you here? Aren't you at home with your little female? Have you been missing me terribly?"
Wang Ye put a hand on Fei Han's shoulder, glanced behind him with a grin, and asked, "Where's the little female? Why didn't she come with you?"
Although Yu Wanwan was still in his observation period, it didn't stop him from admiring the pretty young females.
Before Fei Han could answer, Wang Ye looked surprised and imagined, "Did you two have a fight? Do you want to break up with her?"
His friend immediately cursed him to break up, and Fei Han's face darkened. He slapped Wang Ye's hand away and said, "Of course Wanwan and I can't break up. She's waiting for me at home. I came to see you this time because I have something to discuss."
So you didn't break up after all.
Wang Ye felt a pang of regret, but then suppressed it under Fei Han's murderous gaze.
"Ahem, well, come with me, let's sit down and talk."
The two entered the palace. In the spacious hall stood a tall throne, which looked very noble. However, Wang Ye did not sit on it. Instead, he led Fei Han inside and the two sat down at a square table.
"Try this fruit, it was just picked this morning, it's so sweet." Wangye peeled the fruit and handed it to Feihan with a gentle expression. If someone didn't know her, they might think that Wangye had feelings for Feihan.
Fei Han was used to Wang Ye's care. He took the fruit but didn't eat it. He just held it in his hand and said, "I have something very important that I need your help with."
Wang Ye raised an eyebrow: "What is it? Do you want me to use the Beast King's power to directly give you the blessing qualification?"
His powerful imagination left Fei Han helpless, and he sighed, "It's not about that."
Wang Ye sighed again, "Alas, as long as you speak up, what can I do even if I abuse my power for personal gain?"
He acted as if he would do anything for her, but Fei Han ignored him: "I want you to help me find Guan Zuo's group."
Guan Zuo was the leader of the team that Chang Yue had given him.
Fei Han had already thought it through. Mo Zhou was right; everything required evidence. Back then, there was no physical evidence, so the only evidence they could rely on was the witnesses.
Once Guan Zuo and the others are found, the truth can be revealed. Whether he wronged Chang Yue or Chang Yue was really lying to him, all of this can be put to rest.
Wang Ye replied, "Ever since your accident, I've been looking for you and them, but they've just vanished without a trace, and there's still no news."
He said in a deep voice, "It's very likely that they are already dead."
Fei Han: "I need to find the person alive or dead. You can continue searching for me."
Wangye nodded, stretched, leaned back, and slumped in his seat: "Why did you suddenly decide to look for someone? I haven't heard you looking for anyone since you came back."
Fei Han put the fruit in her hand into her mouth and slowly said, "Chang Yue came to see me today."
"Oh?" Wangye raised an eyebrow: "What sweet talk did he say to you this time?"
Fei Han lowered her eyes: "He said that the attack on me had nothing to do with him, and that he knew nothing about it."
Wang Ye gritted his teeth and sat up straight from his seat: "You believe him just like that? Fei Han, you've almost died once, how can you still be so... so... naive?"
He wanted to say how could he still be so stupid, but he knew Fei Han would get angry if he said that, so he changed his mind.
"But he doesn't seem to be lying to me, and we can't find any witnesses now. If possible, of course I want to believe him."
For Fei Han, Chang Yue had always been a good older brother, and he didn't want to doubt him even if there was the slightest possibility.
He had always been determined to distance himself from Chang Yue, but after hearing his sincere and heartfelt confession today, coupled with Mo Zhou's words that everything must be based on evidence, he was now filled with doubt.
