After Qinglu returned home, Yu Wanwan was tidying up her belongings when she found a package of dried meat that hadn't been soiled.
This jerky was specially made by Fei Han, and it took a lot of effort and several kinds of seasonings. Yu Wanwan couldn't bear to eat it and kept it hidden inside the bottle.
That is why it was able to escape disaster.
Yu Wanwan picked up the dried meat, intending to give it to Qinglu.
They've been running around taking care of me these past few days, taking time off to attend extra classes and arranging accommodations. It would be a shame not to thank them properly.
She arrived at Qinglu's residence, called out at the door, and Qinglu quickly came out.

Qinglu then found her some food and drinks.

Yu Wanwan said, "This is jerky made by my partner. It's very delicious and you can't find it anywhere else. I wanted to give it to you to thank you for helping me so much these past few days."

An orc carrying a pile of tree bark walked in through the cave entrance, his steps hurried: "Elder, these are all transaction records from the merfolk. Please take a look."
He put the bark aside and piled it up with the bark by the wall.
When he saw Yu Wanwan, he paused for a moment, a look of amazement flashing in his eyes, and then nodded politely to her.
Yu Wanwan greeted him and then sat quietly to one side.
The dragon-orc said, "Elder, the chieftain sent me to retrieve the transaction records from three days ago with Beast City. Have you checked them?"
"Not yet, you should go back first."
The dragon-orc exclaimed in disbelief, "Elder, what happened? Shouldn't it have been checked by now?"
Qinglu said calmly, "I've been held up by some things these past few days. You can go back first and come back to pick it up later."
The dragon-orc gave an "oh," came in a hurry, and left in a hurry as well.
Yu Wanwan's gaze fell on the pile of tree bark in the corner, guessing that these must be documents waiting to be processed.
She asked, "Elder, have you been neglecting your work these past few days because of my affairs?"
The matter from three days ago hasn't been sorted out yet, but for the past two days, he's been running around helping me with everything.
Yu Wanwan felt a little embarrassed that she had delayed someone else's business because of herself.
How could Qinglu possibly blame Yu Wanwan? He quickly said, "It's not because of you, it's my own fault."
Yu Wanwan nodded casually, clearly not believing him.
She stood up from her chair, looked up and said earnestly, "Elder, thank you so much for everything these past few days. I've taken care of everything now, and I'll handle the rest myself. You don't need to bother me anymore."
Qinglu opened his mouth: "It's not a hassle, I'm doing this voluntarily."
Yu Wanwan smiled gently, her eyes crinkling: "I know you are a very responsible elder and teacher, but the fact that I was bullied was not your fault. You don't need to waste your time feeling guilty."
Yu Wanwan felt that he had already done enough for her. She couldn't take advantage of him just because he felt guilty and make him continue to run around for her. That would be too immoral.
“It’s not because I feel guilty, it’s because I…” Qinglu hurriedly replied, but suddenly couldn’t continue.
He could tell that the young female didn't like him at all; she only showed him the respect and politeness one would show to an elder.
If he rashly said that, wouldn't it put a burden on her?
Qinglu's gaze was deep, and he followed up by saying, "I understand, but your matter was within my duties. I am very sorry that something happened that hurt you."
Yu Wanwan wanted to say there was no need to apologize, but Qinglu said, "You're going to class tomorrow, right?"
She nodded.
I'll take you to your class tomorrow.

He said firmly, "I was going down the mountain tomorrow anyway. You've never been on the way to Qishan. If something happens to you, I'll be in big trouble."
Yu Wanwan paused for a moment, then said, "Okay..."
"You should go back first, it's getting dark."
"Alright, I'll be going now." Yu Wanwan took a few steps, then couldn't help but turn back: "Elder, remember to eat that dried meat, it's delicious."
Qinglu tightened his grip on the dried meat, his expression showing some sadness. To avoid letting the little female notice, he didn't turn around: "I understand."

She carefully reviewed what she had said and realized that she hadn't done anything offensive.

The next day, Qinglu waited at the door early and delivered Yu Wanwan along the main road.
