Qinglu clenched his fists and looked at Su Hui.
Su Hui felt flustered under his gaze, but she didn't know what she had done wrong, so she could only stand there with a long face.
Of the three people present, two were completely bewildered.
"Okay, I understand." After a long while, Qinglu blurted out this sentence out of the blue.
Yu Wanwan was completely baffled. Su Hui looked at her with pleading eyes, signaling her to speak up for him.
Seeing that he seemed very scared and flustered, and noticing that he kept giving her meaningful glances, Yu Wanwan assumed that Su Hui was afraid of Qinglu and wanted him to leave quickly. She hurriedly said, "Elder, is there anything else? If not, may I have dinner first?"
Qinglu looked at her.
Why say such things? Are you in a hurry to get rid of him? Do you not want to see him?
A hint of hurt flashed across Qinglu's eyes.
Then he looked at Su Hui.
Was it because Su Hui was here that Wanwan was so eager for her to leave? Did she not want to stay with her because she wanted to have dinner with Su Hui?
After making this guess, Qinglu suddenly felt his fist harden.
The oppressive feeling intensified, and Su Hui swallowed hard, her legs beginning to tremble.
What did he do wrong? Why is the elder staring at him so fiercely?
Was it because the food he cooked for the females wasn't good? But the elders didn't eat any! Or did they smell it and find it unappetizing?
He's been wronged! He followed all the proper procedures!
Qinglu was conflicted and heartbroken. It took her a while to recover before she shook her head and said, "I'm fine. I just came to see you."
He closed his eyes briefly: "Since you're going to eat, I'll be leaving now."
"Okay, okay, goodbye Elder." Yu Wanwan replied immediately, feeling that she had successfully helped Su Hui.
Qinglu looked at the little female's joyful expression as she eagerly saw him off, and felt a pang of sadness.
Before taking a step, she gave Su Hui a cool look, and then left reluctantly.
Yu Wanwan watched his back and wondered why Qinglu had suddenly become so sad, his back was not straight, and it looked as if a dark cloud was hanging over his head.
After the elder left, Su Hui, who had persevered for half a day, finally collapsed, his knees buckling as he leaned against the table, panting, "Finally gone..."
Yu Wanwan found it amusing: "What happened? Why do you look so exhausted?"
Su Hui glared at her: "You wouldn't be scared if it were you!"
"I'm not afraid," Yu Wanwan shrugged matter-of-factly.
Anyway, she felt that Qing Luren was the best.
Su Hui snorted: "That's because you don't understand. Elders are really terrifying, especially when you don't know what you did wrong or what punishment awaits you. That's the scariest thing."
Yu Wanwan handed him a glass of water to calm him down: "You're so afraid of the elders, you'll have to kneel down when you see the clan leader."
"What do you mean by kneeling and walking?" Su Hui gulped down a glass of water, feeling a bit better afterward. "The clan leader isn't as strong as the elders, and his aura isn't as powerful. Most importantly, the clan leader is very kind and doesn't follow the rules of Dragon Island, so I'm not afraid of him."
Yu Wanwan asked in confusion, "How could the clan leader's strength be less than that of the elders?"
