"Head north!"
"Huh?" This stumped Yu Wanwan. What's to the north?
She looked up at the sky, trying to determine the position of the sun. After careful consideration, she started walking to the right.
The God of Time roared, "Not the right! It's the left!"
“…Okay.” Yu Wanwan changed direction.
Right in front of her was that big flower. She carefully walked around it, afraid of being bitten.
Seeing the little female finally struggling to begin her journey, the God of Time exhaled a breath of stale air.
After walking for a long time in the forest, Yu Wanwan finally found a wide road, the kind that beastmen often used.
We can definitely leave the forest from here.
Yu Wanwan casually picked a blade of grass and strolled along.
A strange sound suddenly came from behind the tree. As soon as Yu Wanwan turned her head, she was met with a dark pig face with black beady eyes and disgusting saliva dripping onto the ground.
Her knees buckled, and she was so frightened that she almost knelt on the ground.
The wild boar rubbed one of its front legs against the ground. Seeing its movement, Yu Wanwan immediately understood its intention and ran away.
The wild boar huffed and puffed as it chased after them, while Yu Wanwan ran wildly ahead.
A thousand alpacas galloped through her mind; this scene was ninety percent similar to her first day on the Beastman Continent.
This time, however, Bai Jing wasn't there to save her; she had to save herself!
The gods were deeply worried, but they could neither help nor guide Yu Wanwan, who had not come into contact with any plants. They could only pray that nothing would happen to her.
Unbeknownst to the other gods, one deity subtly curled his lips into a smile.
The ground trembled, and the wild boar ran far away. The little female that had just been in front of it suddenly disappeared. It nudged around with its snout, sniffing for a long time, but couldn't find her.
At this moment, Yu Wanwan was hiding in the muddy pond, her body and head covered in mud. She dared not breathe too loudly, for fear of attracting the wild boar.
Yu Wanwan finally breathed a sigh of relief once the wild boar had disappeared from sight.
Luckily, she was smart; she spotted the muddy pond behind the bushes and jumped in without hesitation! It's better to die dirty than to be trampled to death!
Yu Wanwan crawled out of the mud and quickly fled the forest.
There wasn't a soul in sight in this area, and it was getting dark. She needed to find a tribe or a safe place to spend the night as soon as possible.
Suddenly, a deep pit appeared in front of her. Yu Wanwan curiously went closer to take a look and was surprised to find that there was actually an eight or nine-year-old boy lying inside!
The little boy had an animal skin around his waist, and he was covered in dirt. His eyes were closed, and there were obvious bloodstains and wounds on his legs, which must have been caused when he fell.
But he was motionless at that moment, so it was impossible to tell whether he was alive or dead.
"Little friend, little friend, are you alright?" Yu Wanwan cupped her hands into a megaphone and called out towards the bottom of the pit.
After calling him for a long time without any response, Yu Wanwan looked around and picked up a relatively long branch to poke his body.
After a long while, the boy's eyelids twitched, and he gradually regained consciousness.
He opened his hazy golden eyes and his voice was hoarse: "Help, help me."
He's still alive!
Yu Wanwan comforted her, "Don't worry, I will save you!"
She began searching around, initially trying to get the boy to grab onto a branch, but he had been down for too long, hadn't eaten or drunk anything, and was too weak to get up.
With no other option, Yu Wanwan finally found a very flexible and slender type of grass, tied them together to make a rope, tied one end to a tree and the other end to her waist, and then climbed up the edge of the pit, slowly lowering herself down.
Yu Wanwan helped the boy up and gently patted his face: "Are you alright?"
The boy opened his mouth: "I... am hungry."
Barely able to hear what he said, Yu Wanwan took a fruit out of her bosom.
She found these while looking for grass leaves, and considering that the child might be weak because he hadn't eaten, she picked some.
Yu Wanwan squeezed the juice out of the fruit and dripped it into the boy's mouth.
The boy frowned, clearly disliking it, but forced himself to swallow it for survival.
After eating several, the boy felt a little better in his parched throat and regained some strength.
Yu Wanwan helped him lean against the side and comforted him, "Rest for a while, and we'll go out when you've recovered."
The boy lifted his eyelids slightly: "Thank you."
Sitting to one side, Yu Wanwan hugged her knees and laughed, "You're welcome. My name is Yu Wanwan, you can call me Wanwan. What's your name? How did you end up fainting here? Did you slip and fall?"
The boy lowered his eyes and replied calmly, "My name is Chu Lin, and I... fell down by accident."
Yu Wanwan nodded and handed over a few more fruits: "Would you like to eat some more? You've been down for quite a while now, you must be very hungry, right?"
She noticed his lips were chapped; there was no food or water in the pit, and if she had been any later, he probably wouldn't have made it.
Chu Lin took the fruit and forced herself to eat several.
His little brows furrowed, and he ate fruit as if it were poison. Yu Wanwan tried hard to suppress her laughter.
Once he had rested enough, Yu Wanwan tied the rope around his waist, and it took the two of them a lot of effort to climb up.
Chu Lin lay on the ground, breathing softly.
Yu Wanwan remembered the wound on his leg and wanted to take a look at it, but as soon as she got close to him, he immediately shrank back and stared at her warily.
