Chapter 301 They've Been Discovered

His strength increased, causing Yu Wanwan to gasp softly in pain.

Upon hearing the voice, Zewu opened his eyes, relaxed his grip but still didn't let go: "I don't know why my plant essence ended up in your body, but you yourself know that it's wrong to peek at other people's memories. I don't want a third person to know my memories."

"I won't tell anyone."

This is equivalent to someone else's privacy, so of course it can't be told casually. Even the God of Time only said that she entered the memories, but didn't tell him the specific details.

Zewu really wanted to just get rid of her, but looking into those familiar eyes and recalling those memories, he couldn't bring himself to do it. He could only give her a cold warning.

He hypnotized himself into believing that he didn't attack her because he was bound by fate and couldn't fight against orcs, and not for any other reason.

But it wouldn't do to leave his essence in her body. Ze Wu touched her forehead with his index finger, and green light emanated from his fingertip: "I can let this go. I will take the plant essence with me and send you back."

Upon hearing that he was going to send away the plant essence, the previously docile little female suddenly became resistant. She broke free from Ze Wu's hand, stepped aside, and covered her head, saying, "No!"

"Why not?" Zewu moved closer to her.

Yu Wanwan immediately ran even further: "Anyway, you just can't!"

She also wants to use plant essence to cultivate spirit flowers, which is currently the only way to save the beastman continent. She knows Ze Wu's desire for revenge against the beastmen, and if he finds out her thoughts, he will definitely take the essence without saying a word.

But her little schemes couldn't escape Ze Wu's eyes. Through the connection of their essences, Ze Wu understood her thoughts even more clearly.

Orcs deserve to die, and he has no intention of helping them live.

"That's not up to you."

Vines spread out from the mirror lake, wrapped around Yu Wanwan's body, and hung her up despite her resistance.

Zewu used two fingers to hold her head still, and then used the index finger of his other hand to touch her forehead again.

Yu Wanwan kept her eyes tightly closed. She tried to shake her head to get away, but she couldn't resist Ze Wu's strength.

She felt as if something had entered her body from her forehead, searching around inside her, then binding the plant essence within her, trying to pull it out of her body.

The process wasn't painful, but the tingling sensation was somewhat uncomfortable.

Ze Wu slowly and carefully controlled his divine power, but the plant essence seemed to be stuck inside the little female's body, and he couldn't get it out no matter what he did.

He increased his strength, but unexpectedly the essence broke free from him and then hid completely, never to be found again.

I can't get my essence back!

Ze Wu put Yu Wanwan down, his face so dark it was almost dripping with water.

Yu Wanwan was confused. She fell to the ground and innocently covered her forehead.

"You female, you're so annoying!"

Zewu pressed his brow, feeling a terrible headache.

Why did he have to meet her? If he had known, he shouldn't have chosen that time.

Being inexplicably told she was annoying, Yu Wanwan frowned and subconsciously used the same attitude she had when arguing with Ze Wu in her memories to reply to the current God: "You're the annoying one! The mission of a vegetable is to protect the Beastman Continent, so why are you making innocent people suffer! The Ze Wu I know is not like this at all!"

Ze Wu was stunned, and Yu Wanwan was also stunned. She covered her mouth and stared at Ze Wu with wide eyes, at a loss.

Ze Wu wasn't angry. Suddenly accepting those memories made him unable to be angry with Yu Wanwan at all.

He took a deep breath: "Why don't you understand? Orcs are selfish and vile; they don't deserve to be protected!"

If he had firmly refused to let the orcs into the tribe and hadn't been soft-hearted, his family and friends wouldn't have lost their lives.

"But..." But the orcs are all innocent, and her partner is among them. How could she let them die?

Yu Wanwan was about to say something when Ze Wu interrupted her sharply.

"Enough!"

He thought that even if no one else understood, Yu Wanwan had seen his memories, so she should be able to understand him, but he was disappointed.

Ze Wu sighed softly, his expression turning cold: "I will take you back."

But he couldn't let her leave so easily.

Squatting down in front of Yu Wanwan, Ze Wu extended his index finger and tapped Yu Wanwan's forehead.

It was so fast that by the time she dodged it, it was too late.

Having done all this, Zewu waved his hand: "Let's go."

...

Yu Wanwan got out of bed.

She touched her forehead and checked her body, but found nothing wrong. She even wondered if she was dreaming.

She prayed, holding the sacred flowers, just as she always did.

Strangely, whenever Yu Wanwan closes her eyes, images of vegetative patients being killed by orcs appear before her. Their terrified eyes and sorrowful expressions are vivid in her mind, and the screams and cries for help seem to be right beside her ears.

Yu Wanwan opened her eyes, breathing softly and uncomfortably.

Looking at Yu Wanwan through the mirror-like lake, Ze Wu's expression was unreadable, as dark as the night.

He knew he couldn't get the essence back, but he also couldn't let Yu Wanwan successfully cultivate the spirit flower, so he shared some of the hatred he had accumulated in his heart over the years with Yu Wanwan.

She was indeed affected; her prayers became less devout, and she was unable to continue cultivating the sacred flowers.
