Yu Wanwan realized she didn't know this female, but she clearly understood that Mo Zhou was angry. She suddenly hugged his neck and said firmly, "I only want Mo Zhou."
Seeing Fei Han and Bai Jing looking over, she quickly added, "And Fei Han and Bai Jing too."
Mo Zhou lowered his head and kissed Yu Wanwan on the forehead, then hugged her even tighter.
Youyi wanted to continue persuading, but a newly adult orc stepped forward: "Uncle Youyi, you are neither an elder nor a clan leader. What right do you have to order us to agree to keep the snake beast?"
You Yi choked up, unable to speak for a moment.
Qu Cang added fuel to the fire: "That's right. Although Bai Jing has awakened, the position of clan leader can't be filled so easily. It has to be selected through the clan leader selection process."
You Yi frowned: "Bai Jing has already awakened. How can an ordinary beastman compare to a beastman who has reverted to his ancestral form? Isn't the result the same?"
"That won't do either," Qu Cang snorted.
He'd already served the previous two chieftains long enough. Bai Jing, an exiled orc, wanted to come back and become chieftain? It couldn't be that simple. He had to get at least some benefits out of him.
Mo Zhou snorted coldly: "I don't want to stay in your lousy tribe even if you beg me. Wanwan, let's go."
As he spoke, he turned to leave, carrying Yu Wanwan, with Fei Han and Bai Jing following behind.
Seeing that Bai Jing was about to leave, the other tigers who hadn't spoken before all blocked his way.
"Bai Jing, you can't leave."
"You are our clan leader."
"How could the tribe be without you!"
No matter how much they tried to dissuade him, Bai Jing was determined. Mo Zhou couldn't stay, and Yu Wanwan would leave too, so what was the point of him staying alone?
Bai Jing said, "If Mo Zhou can't stay, I won't stay to be the clan chief either. We'll leave once the tribe has recovered a bit."
Seeing that no one could stop Bai Jing, You Yi had no choice but to say, "Bai Jing, it's not that we can't let the snake beast stay, but Sanqiao is gone, the elder is dead, and the shaman is nowhere to be found. There's no one in the tribe who can make a decision."
"Here's what we'll do. You'll temporarily take over as chief. Once the shaman returns, we'll discuss how to settle the snake beast. We're sure we can give you a satisfactory result."
Yu Wanwan had a sudden thought.
Now the only leader left in the tribe is the shaman grandfather. If he comes back, he will definitely be on their side.
If all goes well, Bai Jing might not have to leave the tribe where he has lived for many years, and Mo Zhou might be able to stay as well.
Bai Jing glanced at Yu Wanwan, and seeing her nod, he said okay.
They returned to the original cave.
The elephant tribe's attack destroyed many of the tiger tribe's caves, but their caves, which were located in relatively remote areas, were surprisingly among the few that survived the war.
However, no one has lived here for too long. Last time, Aunt Heyin and her family would occasionally come to clean it up. This time, no one cleaned it up, and the cave was covered with a thick layer of dust and sand. There were even a few spider webs on the cave ceiling.
Seeing this, Bai Jing told Mo Zhou to take Yu Wanwan outside to rest, while he and Fei Han took out animal hides and began a thorough cleaning.
Yu Wanwan originally wanted to help, but the dust in the cave was just too thick, and sweeping it up made it even worse, choking people so much that they couldn't open their eyes.
Mo Zhou quickly took Yu Wanwan back several steps, thought for a moment, and then simply carried her up the tree, picking a fruit and handing it to her.
The fruit looked like an orange, and once you peeled it, you could see segments inside. Yu Wanwan took a slice and put it into Mo Zhou's mouth, and the two of them shared the fruit, one slice after another.
After they finished eating, Yu Wanwan asked, "Mo Zhou, did you feel uncomfortable just now?"
"Feeling bad? Why should I feel bad?"
He was overjoyed; the little female only liked him and didn't want any other orcs.
Seeing that Mo Zhou was carefree and didn't care about others' rejection at all, Yu Wanwan breathed a sigh of relief, stuffed the last piece of fruit into Mo Zhou's mouth, and obediently waited for them to finish cleaning up.
It was already close to evening, and according to the usual schedule, it should have been the time when Fei Han or Bai Jing started cooking.
But since they were all busy, Mo Zhou took the initiative to cook for the little female.
However, he had never cooked before; he either had others cook for him or ate raw food. Right now, he couldn't even start a fire.
Yu Wanwan squatted down next to him, watching him take a flint and steel in each hand and strike it with a snapping sound.
But whether it was due to using the wrong force or something else, after a long time, not a single spark was produced. Instead, the force was too strong, and the flint was broken in two.
Yu Wanwan reached out to take it: "Let me try."
Mo Zhou quickly dodged Yu Wanwan's hand and said righteously, "No, starting a fire is too dangerous. You just sit down and let me do it."
After saying that, he started trying to light the fire again, his clumsy yet persistent manner making Yu Wanwan want to laugh.
She scratched her face and suggested, "How about I go and call Bai Jing out?"
Mo Zhou frowned, unwilling to admit defeat, and took out two more flints: "I'm sure I can make it."
......
As dusk fell, many broken flints lay scattered on the ground, some even turning to dust. Yu Wanwan's stomach, which had been empty, finally rumbled with hunger.
Mo Zhou had no choice but to say, "I'll go and call Bai Jing out." He couldn't bear to see the little female go hungry with him.
He went into the cave and quickly replaced Bai Jing.
He patted the little female's head and slipped a fruit into her hand.
However, Yu Wanwan had already eaten the fruit and had no appetite at the moment, so she just held it in her hands and watched Bai Jing cook.
