Chapter Seventy-Four: Reporting the News

Bai Jing shook his head, feeling somewhat puzzled: "The Elephant Clan has never done anything like this before."

Yu Wanwan looked at those rabbit-like beastmen and felt a deep sense of sympathy.

In her eyes, rabbits were gentle, weak, and harmless. It was outrageous that the elephants bullied the weak because of their size!

Moreover, these kinds of strategic endeavors tend to become increasingly ambitious as they progress, and Yu Wanwan couldn't help but worry, "Will the Elephant Tribe target the White Tiger Tribe?"

Mo Zhou picked up the little female and, seeing her adorable, indignant expression, reached out and pinched her cheek.

"Probably not. I haven't heard of any beastmen who have reverted to their ancestral form in the Elephant Clan. They can't easily take down the White Tiger Clan." Bai Jing was quite confident in the strength of his own tribe.

Knowing that the White Tiger tribe was safe, Yu Wanwan felt relieved. Now, the only problem left was the group of orcs.

She asked gently, "So, where do you plan to go after you escaped?"

The rabbit-like beastmen exchanged glances, perhaps knowing that the other party didn't intend to eat them. Yu Wanwan was also very beautiful and friendly, and couldn't help but ask, "Can we... go back to your tribe with you?"

Ah, this...

Yu Wanwan and the others looked at each other in bewilderment.

The key issue is that they don't have any tribes they can return to now.

Seeing Yu Wanwan's expression, the rabbit-tribe beastmen knew they were useless. No powerful tribes were willing to take them in, but now that their homeland was destroyed and they had nowhere to go, they could only try to cling to the powerful beastmen.

Yu Wanwan looked at Bai Jing helplessly.

Bai Jing couldn't let them follow him to the desert, but he didn't want to be too heartless in front of the little female, so he said, "Go in this direction to the White Tiger Tribe. Even if they don't want to take you in, find a place to stay near the White Tiger Tribe. Within the territory of the Tiger Tribe, the Elephant Tribe shouldn't dare to come and capture you."

"Then... what if we get kicked out?" the rabbit-like orc asked tremblingly.

Wild animals like tigers are very territorial. If they brazenly move next to someone, being driven out is considered good; the worst thing would be being skinned and eaten.

Bai Jing thought for a moment, then took out a piece of animal hide that smelled of him from his bundle: "Take this to Aunt He Yin of the White Tiger Tribe and ask them to help you mark out a territory."

The rabbit-like beastman was overjoyed and carefully took the piece of animal hide.

After thinking for a moment, Bai Jing was still a little worried, so he stopped the rabbit-tribe beastman again: "Help me take the news from the elephant tribe back and let them investigate what happened. It would be best to make some preparations."

The rabbit-like orc nodded.

After saying goodbye to Yu Wanwan and the others, the Rabbit Clan found the White Tiger Tribe as quickly as possible.

Before they even got close, they could smell the strong odor of carnivorous animals, which made their legs tremble.

"Ah Ye, are we really going?" a rabbit-tribe beastman asked the beastman who had been answering the questions earlier, holding the animal skin.

Upon hearing this, Ah Ye hesitated for a moment.

To be honest, he was really scared, but since he had already come all this way, if he gave up now, his people who had finally escaped would have nowhere to go and might be captured again!

In that case, we might as well take a gamble!

Thinking of that beautiful and gentle female, A-Ye gripped the animal hide tightly and said to her people, "Wait for me here. If I don't come back, run away quickly, even if it means leaving the Qingwan Forest."

“Ah Ye…”

Amidst the worried gazes of her tribesmen, A-Ye mustered her courage and, as if sacrificing herself, headed towards the White Tiger tribe.

In the White Tiger tribe, the beastmen are busy at work.

The orcs who were nearby saw a thin orc walking towards them from afar, sniffed the air, and then laughed out loud: "Hey, what's this rabbit orc running over here? Everyone come and see, there's a little rabbit here!"

When the white tiger beastman called out, the nearby beastmen gathered around, looking at A-Ye with a mixture of amusement and curiosity: "Why did the rabbit clan come over? How dare he be so bold?"

Orcs live in tribes and clans, and rarely live together except in special circumstances. Rabbits, being weak and herbivorous, live as far away from carnivores as possible. It's quite a strange sight to see a rabbit tribe member showing up alone today.

The predator's stare made A-Ye's scalp tingle, but thinking of his people, he forced himself to speak, trembling, "I...I've come to find...He...Heyin."

He was so scared that he was trembling all over, and his face turned red.

The tiger-clan beastmen didn't care who he came to see; when they saw that A-Ye had spoken, their mockery of him intensified.

"The little thing can talk?"

"Hahaha, what are you talking about? You're not even as loud as a mosquito!"

"You're so timid, yet you dare to come here. Are you here to give us extra food?"

"Hahaha, you're out of food. What's so good about rabbit? There's so little meat."

"Yeah, look at this orc, he's filthy, I wouldn't eat him even if he were given to me!"

The tiger-tribe beastmen's discussions terrified A-Ye even more. She didn't dare to lift her head, and her legs were so weak that she couldn't move. She stood like a stick at the entrance of the tribe.

Youyi, who happened to be returning with the elder, saw a group of people gathered at the entrance of the tribe and walked over with the elder.

"What are you all doing?" The elder walked over, and everyone greeted him when they saw him arrive.

“Elder, this rabbit says it’s coming to find Heyin, we’re just teasing it,” said one of the beastmen.

Upon hearing the name He Yin, You Yi frowned, sensing that something was amiss.

He stepped forward and said to the rabbit-like beastman, "I am Heyin's partner. What business do you have with her?"
