Chapter Twenty-Nine: The Clan Chief's Orders

"I didn't! Uncle Cai You, how could I dare to bully a female? It's Bai Jing who's holding a grudge about what happened last time and still refuses to hand over the grain!"

Seeing that Lu Si wouldn't admit it, Yu Wanwan poked her head out from behind Bai Jing and said angrily, "You bullied me, and you still won't admit it!"

"You're talking nonsense!"

Luce struggled in anger, but Cai You interrupted him sharply: "Enough, Luce! How dare you yell at a female? If you keep making a scene, go to the elders and be punished!"

Upon hearing that he would be punished, Luce's face turned red, and he dared not utter another word.

Females are so precious in the beast world, he was only so enraged that he dared to be so presumptuous.

The last incident had already made him look down on by the beastmen. If he were to offend a female again and be punished, he would never be able to find a mate again.

Seeing that Bai Jing was still holding on tightly, Cai You patted Lu Si and said sternly, "Hurry up and apologize to the female."

Luce gritted his teeth, and finally said reluctantly, "Female, I was wrong."

Bai Jing looked at Yu Wanwan, and seeing that she nodded, he released Lu Si's hand.

They continued to plunder grain, as ordered by the clan chief, which Bai Jing could not disobey.

Yu Wanwan looked around and found that although the house hadn't been ransacked, it was obvious that someone had broken in. The dried meat and vegetables in the kitchen had been looted, but the animal hide covering the cellar door was still intact. It seemed that these orcs didn't know what a cellar was, so they hadn't touched the animal hide at all.

Yu Wanwan felt a little comforted; most of their food was stored in the cellar, no wonder they couldn't find it.

The orcs who came to collect the food were still relentless when they saw that there was only so little food. They were convinced that Bai Jing had hidden the food and insisted that he hand it over.

Bai Jing, his face cold, said impatiently, "We have no more food."

"How is that possible? With your strength, how could you only have this little bit of power!"

"That's right, how can you be so selfish? So many orcs in the tribe are starving, and you want to hoard the food for yourself!"

"Have you forgotten how the tribe used to feed you? You're utterly ungrateful!"

The orcs grew angrier with each word, closing in step by step as if they wanted to devour Bai Jing.
