Bai Jing immediately put the little female's suggestion into action. Skilled at threading a needle, and under Yu Wanwan's guidance, he made a long-sleeved shirt and a pair of trousers. Although they looked a bit ugly, their warmth was truly outstanding!
I also made two pairs of socks that I hadn't made before because it was too hot in the summer.
Yu Wanwan took out a fur cloak and covered her head and body. It was much lighter than wrapping herself in fur, and both Yu Wanwan and Bai Jing were very satisfied.
Finally, with a new outfit, Bai Jing took Yu Wanwan out after much pleading.
The soft, white snow made Yu Wanwan very happy, and she played around, rolling around and building snowmen.
Yu Wanwan originally wanted to have a snowball fight with Bai Jing, but when she saw Bai Jing effortlessly hand her a huge snowball to build a snowman with one hand, she decisively gave up the idea.
When it comes to playing games, your life is the most important thing.
The two built two snowmen at the door, using twigs for noses and hands, and stuffing two small pink nut shells for eyes.
Yu Wanwan pointed at the snowman and said, "This is you, and this is me."
Two snowmen leaned against each other, holding hands, looking warm and intimate.
Bai Jing looked at them and kissed Yu Wanwan's lips passionately.
It was lunchtime soon.
Bai Jing set up a wok and heated it up. He added the lard that Yu Wanwan had rendered the night before. When the oil was hot, he added the thawed meat and chili peppers to sauté until fragrant. Then he added water, noodles, and vegetables, seasoned it, and served.
The vegetables were sweet and refreshing, paired with noodles and a rich meaty flavor; Yu Wanwan ate with great relish.
After they had eaten and drunk their fill, Bai Jing took her for a walk by the river.
A thick layer of ice has formed on the water.
Yu Wanwan lay on the ice, pounding the hard surface with her pink little fists, and asked curiously, "Bai Jing, do you think there might be fish down there?"
Since we have nothing to do anyway, we might as well see if there are any fish left inside and grill one to eat.
Bai Jing put Yu Wanwan in a safe place, then turned his hand into a claw and dug a hole in the ice.
Yu Wanwan curiously peered forward and could vaguely see several fish swimming around inside.
In the tribe, everyone hunts; only males who can't catch prey will try to catch fish.
Seeing that Yu Wanwan liked them, Bai Jing picked out a few.
He stood by the cave, staring silently at his hand. With lightning speed, he made a move, and before Yu Wanwan could even see clearly, she saw that he had caught a fish that was swishing its tail.
Yu Wanwan clapped her hands with joy.
Bai Jing caught several fish in a row. Yu Wanwan asked Bai Jing to gut them, scrape off the scales, clean them, stick them on branches, and roast them over a fire.
Although no salt was added to the fish, its original flavor made it very delicious.
When the two got home, Yu Wanwan's belly was round and full, and she kept burping the whole way.
Shunfeng had been waiting for them at the cave entrance for a long time. Besides Shunfeng, there was also a large group of orcs.
Yu Wanwan was confused and hadn't even gotten close when Shunfeng rushed over anxiously: "Where have you been? The clan chief is here to collect food, you'd better get ready quickly!"
"Huh?" A question mark appeared above Yu Wanwan's head: "What kind of food?"
A middle-aged orc who looked rather old said, "The chieftain said that the tribe doesn't have enough food this year, so all the food from each family will be gathered together and distributed uniformly."
Bai Jing frowned: "There has never been such a rule before."
The middle-aged orc waved his hand impatiently: "I already said that this year's problem is a lack of food. We just went to your house and there was only a little food. Bai Jing, you are so strong and hunt the most prey. Where did you put all the food?"
Upon hearing that her house had been ransacked, Yu Wanwan sensed something was wrong and quickly struggled to get off Bai Jing. As soon as she ran into the house, she saw Lu Si and the scarred orc coming out carrying animal skin bundles.
The package was bulging, filled with the food they had saved up.
"What are you doing? These are our things!" Yu Wanwan stood with her hands on her hips, her eyes wide with anger.
Luce wasn't afraid at all, and looked Yu Wanwan up and down in a very flippant manner: "Oh, isn't this that black female? Knowing she's ugly, she's covering her face?"
Lu Si harbored resentment over what happened last time and was always looking for an opportunity to take revenge on Bai Jing. Knowing that he was no match for Bai Jing, he thought of other ways to deal with him.
Knowing that he could scavenge for food, he immediately volunteered. After entering Bai Jing's house, he swept away everything edible like a locust plague, not even leaving behind half a chili pepper.
Yu Wanwan was furious and tried to snatch the item back, but she was too short and her head was pinned down, preventing her from moving.
"You useless female, you dare to try and steal from me? I'll teach you a lesson!" Luce said, grabbing Yu Wanwan's wrist and trying to pull off the scarf and cloak covering her face.
Yu Wanwan struggled but couldn't break free, and closed her eyes tightly in fear.
A cry of pain reached her ears, and Yu Wanwan was pulled into a familiar embrace.
Lu Si was pinned against the mountain wall by Bai Jing, his face rubbing against the rough stone, his wrist feeling like it was about to break: "It hurts so much, Bai Jing, let go! Let go!"
"Apologize to Wanwan," Bai Jing said coldly.
"What's there to apologize for? I didn't touch her!" Luce retorted stubbornly.
The middle-aged orc who had come with them also came in and urged, "Bai Jing, what are you doing? Let go!"
Bai Jing pulled Yu Wanwan behind him to protect her, his expression remaining unmoved: "He bullied my female."
"What?" The middle-aged orc was stunned, then turned his guns on Luce: "Luce, what did you do to the female!"
