Zewu said, "The most important thing now is to plant spirit flowers. If there aren't enough spirit flowers, the power of the Beast God won't be enough either. I'm worried that even the tribe will suffer."
The remaining few respected elderly people in a vegetative state also chimed in, supporting Ze Wu's idea.
After another discussion, the clan chief was persuaded and decided to contact those clansmen. They also discussed some other things before Zewu took Yu Wanwan away.
Yu Wanwan still remembered what she hadn't said yesterday. She had just opened her mouth when a golden stream of light suddenly came straight towards her and wrapped around her stalk.
Before she could say a word, Yu Wanwan was taken directly to the statue of the Beast God.
Zewu followed behind with a frown.
This was a sign of the approaching darkness. The dance of prayer had only just begun when the darkness in the sky surged again, like a rushing river, with black tentacles emerging from it from time to time, like a group of vengeful ghosts who had died unjustly and were wailing incessantly.
The plant-like figures knelt around the statue, murmuring prayers.
The orcs stood on the perimeter, looking up at the sky in terror.
Ze Wu counted them one by one and found that the number of spirit flowers this time was less than last time.
He clenched his fists, cursing inwardly: These orcs are truly ignorant of their lesson. They only see their immediate hunger and forget that the spirit flower is the key to directly affecting the power of the Beast God! They even dare to harm it.
Golden light lingered near the statue of the beast god, but hesitated to disperse to resist the dark energy. The dark energy in the sky, perhaps sensing its prey below, surged even more wildly.
While dancing, Yu Wanwan glanced at the sky and noticed that the tentacles in the darkness were getting longer and longer, and seemed to be about to reach down and grab someone.
In the short time it took to wave a leaf, tentacles emerged, each orc being its prey. The tentacles casually grabbed a few orcs and were about to ascend into the sky.
The captured orcs were terrified and struggled frantically to break free, but they couldn't reach the mist and could only watch helplessly as their bodies were lifted higher and higher.
Seeing this scene, several people in a vegetative state gave up praying and used vines to save the person. The vines intertwined with the tentacles, clinging tightly to them, trying to save the person.
But without their prayers, the power of the golden light weakened, and even more tentacles reached down, and no orc could escape their clutches.
Seeing this, Zewu shouted, "Ignore them! Keep praying!"
Upon hearing this, the few people in a vegetative state had no choice but to grit their teeth and give up on saving the person, and instead rejoined the ranks of those praying.
In the end, those orcs were captured by Dark Breath, and bits of flesh and blood fell like rain, making everyone present even more terrified.
Even though the plant people rejoined, the power of the light was still much weaker, and more and more orcs were captured.
People around the statue erupted in cries and curses. Some tried to escape, but moving away from the statue would only hasten their death.
The orcs realized that the real protection zone was near the statue, and they rushed toward it in a panic.
There were very few spots left for the vegetative state patients to pray. With such a strong shove, several of them fell to the ground, and a few who were close by fell directly into the pool, splashing water high into the air.
The light faded, and the darkness pressed down like a black cloud. More tentacles reached out, and one orc after another was captured. The chilling sound of chewing seemed to be right next to our ears.
Death was just a step away; the scene was chaotic.
Some of the plant people continued to pray, while more of them stood up to maintain order and protect the beastmen.
A person in a vegetative state had just saved an orc with vines when, in the next second, a hand suddenly pierced through his chest, and green sap with a faint glow flowed out from his chest, instantly staining his white robe green.
The vegetative patient lowered his head in disbelief. The hand withdrew and groped inside his chest. When it came out, it pulled out a green ball of light.
The person in a vegetative state collapsed suddenly, dying without ever knowing why his life had ended so abruptly.
The young orc who had been holding the orb of light in his other hand had a tattered spirit flower in his other hand. With a mocking smile, he stuffed the orb of light into the spirit flower's mouth. In just a few seconds, the spirit flower sprouted new petals and leaves and became full of vitality again.
The young orc threw the spirit flower into the pool, but before it even landed, it was carried away by a golden stream of light and joined the dance of prayer. A golden stream of light appeared at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Seeing this, the young orc immediately shouted, "Look, everyone! The plant essence of the vegetative man can revive the spirit flower. We must save ourselves, kill the vegetative man, and let the power of the Beast God protect us!"
The prayers of a person in a vegetative state can also increase the power of the radiant light, but the effect is far less than that of the spiritual flower.
However, the essence of vegetative patients has extremely strong healing abilities, which is the magic weapon for restoring the health of the spirit flower. Killing these hateful vegetative patients and letting the spirit flower transmit the power of the beast god is the best way for them at present.
While dancing, Yu Wanwan was in disbelief. She tried to look behind her, but she couldn't control her body and could only hear cries for help and painful screams coming from behind her.
As she turned with the dance moves, she saw countless orcs grabbing the plant people, tearing their bodies in half, and then extracting the plant essence and stuffing it into the mouths of the spirit flowers.
More spirit flowers joined the dance of prayer, but the number of plant people was also decreasing rapidly.
Finally, Dark Breath was forced back once again, but the slaughter never stopped.
Having regained control of her body, Yu Wanwan landed in the pool. She struggled to climb out of the water and ran towards Ze Wu.
