As the sun slowly set, eerie sounds echoed from the cave. A bird flying by heard the song, which sounded like a scream, let out a terrified shriek, and then fell miserably to the ground.
When Yu Wanwan came out, her ears were ringing, and she even had a moment of existential doubt, feeling like she was completely out of sorts.
She originally thought that the course on learning to read was already outrageous enough, but she didn't expect the dance and music courses to be even more outrageous.
Especially the music; the Dragon Clan's sacrificial songs were completely incomprehensible, like an unknown foreign song, which Yu Wanwan could only memorize and barely sing.
The females have absolutely no talent or skill in singing; they can only scream at the top of their lungs, not only out of tune but also constantly cracking their voices. This is not learning to sing; it's torture for their ears.
Finally back in the cave, Yu Wanwan just wanted to throw herself onto the bed and become a salted fish that couldn't turn over.
However, as soon as she stepped into the cave, she saw several females gathered around her bed. When they saw her return, they gave her an ambiguous look and scattered like birds and beasts.
Yu Wanwan felt strange and didn't understand what the females meant. After a quick check, she found that her things were still in their original places and hadn't been disturbed. Exhausted, Yu Wanwan didn't have the energy to think about what the females were doing. She let herself lie on the bed and couldn't move for a long time.
She felt that if she stayed a little longer, she could climb all the mountains she had ever climbed in her lifetime.
It's so tiring. The dragon race's studies are soul-crushing, and climbing mountains is physical torture.
But there's some good news: we can leave the island tomorrow to find Bai Jing and the others.
Thinking of her partners, Yu Wanwan suddenly felt energized again. She hadn't seen them for three days; she needed to be in good shape so they wouldn't worry. She adjusted her sleeping position, suppressed her excitement, and forced herself to sleep.
The next day, Yu Wanwan woke up early and sat at the entrance of the cave, waiting for Su to return and take her off the island.
The fishmonger who came to deliver food, Wanwan, looked like a pitiful little thing sitting at the entrance of the cave. He asked, "Wanwan, what are you doing here?"
Yu Wanwan: "I'm waiting for Su to come back and take me off the island."
Yueyang turned his head and glanced at the sky, which was devoid of any dragon, and said, "I don't think Su Hui has arrived yet. How about I take you off the island?"
Yu Wanwan's eyes lit up for a moment, but she quickly shook her head: "Never mind, I've already spoken to Su Hui, he should be here soon."
As it turned out, it would arrive very soon, making Yu Wanwan wait all morning.
Even after a second meal was delivered from overseas, Yu Wanwan was still squatting there.
Even those watching from overseas couldn't bear to watch.
"Wanwan, hasn't Su Hui arrived yet?"
Yu Wanwan lifted her face from her knees and shook her head.
Yueyang frowned: "Su Hui is really something. How could he make the female wait for him? And for the whole morning. I don't know what he went off to do."
Yu Wanwan was helpless.
She had no idea what Su Hui had gone off to do, even though they had already agreed on it before.
"Maybe something came up and he was delayed," Yu Wanwan explained.
Yueyang scoffed and said with a sneer, "What could he possibly be up to? Su Hui is one of the most idle orcs on the island."
He looked at Yu Wanwan and felt sorry for the little female waiting there; her face was pale from the cold wind. He said across the ocean, "How about this, I'll go to Su Hui's cave and ask him what he's doing."
Yu Wanwan's eyes lit up: "Is that okay?"
Yueyang felt a little embarrassed by her gaze, waved his hand and readily agreed: "Of course, wait for me, I'll go right now."
After he finished sending out the roasted meat, he went directly to the dense forest cave to find Su Hui.
By the time Su Hui rushed over, it was already afternoon. Su Hui wiped the sweat from his forehead and said, "Um, Wanwan, I'm sorry, something came up and I was delayed."
Yueyang, who followed closely behind him, rolled his eyes: "What do you mean there's something wrong? It's obvious that you were drinking all night with Mulin last night, which is why you can't get up today."
"I'm not usually like this."
"Nonsense, you're the most unreliable person on Dragon Island."
Su Hui's face flushed red, and she glared at Yue Yang.
He was already embarrassed by breaking his promise to the young female, but now the overseas woman was showing him no respect at all.
"Alright, alright, it's already very late. Can we speed things up a bit?" Yu Wanwan interjected, interrupting their argument.
Knowing that the little female didn't mind, Su Hui quickly transformed into her beast form and let Yu Wanwan climb onto her: "Of course you can, come on up."
Yu Wanwan climbed up the dragon's back with difficulty along its tail, and waved to Yueyang: "Yueyang, thank you for today, I'm leaving now."
"Okay." Yueyang replied, then added, "Su Hui, you must remember to bring the little female back before dark. If you delay her class tomorrow, the elders will scold you to death."
Su Hui snorted in response, then leaped up and flew into the sky.
The blue sea swept past her feet, and Yu Wanwan soon spotted Bai Jing drying animal skins.
"Bai Jing! Bai Jing!"
Unfortunately, her voice was completely enveloped in the transparent screen and couldn't get through. In the end, Bai Jing spotted her, smiled, and ran over quickly.
Yu Wanwan was so excited that she jumped off the dragon's back before Su Hui had even landed properly. Fortunately, Bai Jing was quick and caught her in his arms, preventing Yu Wanwan from falling.
Bai Jing patted Yu Wanwan's head and scolded her, "Why are you so impulsive? You jumped in without looking carefully."
His expression was gentle, and Yu Wanwan wasn't afraid at all. She chuckled and said, "I knew you would catch me."
