Chapter 191 The Greatest Strangeness

The Land of Suppression, just like its name suggests, is primarily responsible for suppression.

Unfortunately, when faced with ghosts, Fang Zong became increasingly forgetful of what it meant to be cowardly.

Suppression? Why would he waste his youth and have his ass stuck in some lousy, incomprehensible place?

Following the map displayed on his phone, Fang Zong arrived at the western suburbs of Haijin City.

When we landed, there was a very dilapidated old house next to us, and it was a bit out of the way. The house was dark and gloomy.

"Is anyone here?" Fang Zong asked.

"Hey~ hey hey~~ Yes, yes, yes, I'm still alive!"

A young man emerged, or rather crawled, clearly terrified; his face was pale, and his thin body swayed in the wind.

He was suffering from both qi and blood deficiency and seemed about to die. It was only when he saw Fang Zong that his face regained some color, thanks to his joy.

"My name is Zhai Ming, please come in!"

The young man's eyes shone brightly, revealing a neurotic light when illuminated by the sunlight.

After Fang Zong entered the house, he found that although it looked dilapidated from the outside, it was very modern inside. The space was over 100 square meters, and the renovation cost must have been no less than five million over three years. All kinds of facilities were readily available.

But there was a laptop on the coffee table in the living room, several empty tissue boxes next to it, and crumpled tissues all over the floor.

An unpleasant odor wafted towards us.

"I thought I was going to die, really going to die. By the way, would you like some water?"

Zhai Ming greeted Fang Zong warmly, offering him a glass of water. Fang Zong glanced at Zhai Ming's hand and wisely declined.

After finding a clean place to sit down, Zhai Ming started rambling on.

"As you know, my master doesn't like too many people serving him. I was only accepted as his disciple half a month ago."

Zhai Ming nestled on the sofa, forcing a wry smile. "After he got into trouble, the Wilderness Underworld Village started acting strangely. Every day, eerie auras seep out, and ghostly figures are everywhere, scaring me to death. I'd rather they killed me than scare me like this."

Fang Zong glanced at the tissue box again: "Why aren't you leaving?"

"This is Master's house, I have to keep a close eye on it."

Zhai Ming said embarrassedly, "Actually, I know that Master is probably dead. I thought I couldn't let Master down, so I might as well enjoy myself to the fullest. Master left me a lot of money. I originally planned to spend it to summon the princess, but then I thought, I'm dead, why should I make her do hard work? So, I almost masturbated myself to death while watching a movie."

Take care of yourself.

Fang Zong had nothing more to say, stood up, and prepared to go to the desolate underworld village.

Zhai Ming quickly said, "No, it won't work, we can't get in!"

"What's wrong now?"

"If you want to go to the Wilderness Underworld Village, you have to go through an underground cave. I don't know the specifics, I only know that my master said that the cave is very strange and you can only go in once every five days. Today is only the third day, so it will take two more days."

"It's alright, just show me the entrance."

Fang Zong is least afraid of 'strange' things.

When leading Fang Zong, Zhai Ming's face turned pale and his lips trembled.

To say he wasn't afraid would be a lie. A perfectly good college student, a man destined to succeed his country, was suddenly taken in as a disciple by Dragon Fist Chen Wudi.

He thought the bright future was just around the corner, and everything was going in a good direction, but then his master died. He stayed at home and clung to the thought of certain death for several days. Fang Zong really admired this guy.

"Brother, big brother, this is it." Zhai Ming tried to calm himself down and pointed to a dark cave.

Fang Zong found the cave to be very simple, like a natural pit carved out of a riverbed, but it was dry and there was nothing unusual about it.

Drilling holes is actually not a simple task.

Unlike climbing a mountain where you can take a cable car or fly, or entering water where you can use water-based magic, the cave was winding and twisting, with some deep ravines that Fang Zong had to carefully jump over, afraid of collapsing the cave.

Fortunately, there is aerial walking, so these things are not very difficult for Fang Zong.

After walking for more than ten minutes, Fang Zong was surprised by Zhai Ming's '5-day time limit', as he hadn't encountered anything strange.

But in fact, the biggest strange thing about a sealed-off area is the absence of anything unusual. Fang Zong even suspected that something was deliberately letting him into the base camp.

Half an hour later, Fang Zong spotted a light ahead. When he went to investigate, he found it was a valley.

The valley was shrouded in clouds and mist, with only the shadows of green trees visible. As far as the eye could see, there was a small, curved river with wooden buildings on its banks.

Beside the wooden building sat a young girl dressed in coarse linen. Her ancient style and temperament, along with the serene look in her eyes, made her seem as if she had stepped out of a traditional Chinese ink painting.

Upon seeing Fang Zong, the girl remained seated and ate her meal. On the table were two plates of vegetarian dishes, both served cold.

She completely ignored Fang Zong.

Fang Zong also realized that the other party did not have the aura of a ghost, and was about to leave, but a detail made Fang Zong stay.

Even Fang Zong, a sub-magic level practitioner, was covered in dust upon entering the cave, but the girl remained completely untouched by worldly dust. Even the damp mist in the valley did not leave a single water stain on her hair.

That's impossible, unless the girl doesn't exist.

The girl seemed to notice Fang Zong's gaze as well, and, slightly surprised, said:

"Young man, are you hungry? I have some vegetables here, you can have them."

"No need, I'm not hungry," Fang Zong decisively refused.

The girl nodded, slowly finished her vegetarian dishes, tidied up a bit, and pointed to the wooden benches opposite her.

Fang Zong obediently took his seat.

The girl continued, “People in the world are busy with their lives, looking back on the past and dreaming about the future. But I do not reminisce about the past, nor do I dream about the future. I only wholeheartedly persuade people not to kill and to eat vegetarian food. I remained a virgin until I was eighty-one years old.”

"Uh~~~?"

Fang Zong was listening attentively, but the last sentence almost made him stumble.

"Go back. Don't be so murderous. The land ahead is peaceful, and I don't want it to be tainted."

Suddenly, the girl changed the subject.

Fang Zong shook his head: "What if I insist on going in?"

As he spoke, Fang Zong stood up. He felt as if the girl didn't exist at all, and he walked past her without any strength.

The girl didn't stop him and let Fang Zong walk out.

Fang Zong was surprised, but continued walking forward. Just beyond the wooden building was the small river that looked exceptionally clear.

As I passed the wooden building, I saw a tiny baby at the door.

The baby is cute, but too small—not in terms of age, but in terms of size.

He was smaller than many newborns, weighing at most two or three pounds, yet he had all four limbs intact and could run and walk.

"Daddy!"

Suddenly, the baby jumped into Fang Zong's arms.
