Chapter 488 Admitting Mistakes but Not Defeat!

The fine rain, like drifting catkins or snowflakes, quietly fell and landed on Yaso's hair, face, and clothes.

He gazed calmly at the snow woman, who looked back at him with excitement. Finally, he opened his arms...

"My lord!" Snow Maiden cried out and threw herself into Yasuo's arms.

"Whether I succeed or fail, whether I'm wallowing in the mud or standing on that high throne, only you will be with me..."

Yasuo said softly, "I'm so glad I didn't have the chance to betray you back then. You know, if I had faced the same situation as before, I would have betrayed you like Hanako did. Hanako betrayed me too, but it's not her fault. It's just my own despicable methods. Good and evil have their consequences, and I ended up like this. But..." He stroked Yuki-onna's silvery-white hair, "No matter what happens in the future, I will never betray you again."

"Your Majesty!" The Snow Maiden cried, tears streaming down her face.

Suddenly, he darted out of Yasuo's arms, opened his arms, and stared intently at Peter—

Peter has revealed his identity as the Dark Spider-Man, and the nuns and young people around him have scattered, including those who swore eternal love to her.

She shook her head desperately, tears welling in her eyes, and cried out, "Your Majesty, go quickly! Your Majesty..."

"No need for that, we have two hours."

Yasuo pulled Yuki back and embraced her again: "I'm not your lord anymore. If you're willing, these two hours, oh, one hour and fifty-eight minutes, will be our forever. Let me be your boyfriend for a while."

"Your Majesty..."

"Call me Yasuo, Aso."

"Ah...Aso?"

"Good girl."

Hyacinths exude their unique fragrance, and the town unveils its midsummer starry sky.

The mottled walls bear the marks of year after year, and rows of houses stand neatly arranged, their eaves gently curving upwards like a beautiful smile. This small town called Messing is home to people from many countries, and many of its buildings have an ancient Eastern and Japanese style, which is why the Snow Woman chose to live here.

She knew Yasuo hated the Eastern Kingdom, but she also knew that the Eastern Kingdom was Yasuo's second home...

"If I had been born in the East instead of Japan, without the conflict between samurai swords and onmyoji, could I have become a wandering knight, just like now, roaming the world with you..."

Sitting in the covered boat, Yasuo embraced Yuki-onna, listening to the familiar sound of the oars, "Pat-pat, pat-pat..." They held each other tightly, listening to the sound, hoping that time would stand still at this moment.

But time keeps moving forward, just like a person's life, there is only moving forward, never backward.

"Two hours have passed." Peter jumped from a distant building onto the bow of the awning boat and asked Yaso, "Are you coming with me yourself, or should I knock you out and take you back, or... kill you?"

"No! Your Majesty!" The Snow Woman struggled.

Yasuo held the Snow Woman tightly, and after several attempts, he couldn't bear it and finally raised his hand to strike the Snow Woman on the back of the neck.

When the snow woman softly fainted, he stood up and placed her in the very center of the awning boat, then put down a few shiny pieces of gold and carefully covered her with his clothes as a blanket.

"Come and catch me," he whispered.

Without hesitation, Peter shot out snow-white spider silk, the threads carrying a dark power that tightly bound Yasuo.

He pulled Yasuo to his side, and couldn't help but be surprised.

"You didn't have a backup plan?"

"Actually, there are some, but they're not very effective."

Yasuo smiled in a voice that seemed to say, "If Fang Zong is willing to give me two hours, I'm willing to discard this useless backup plan... Dark Ghost Team, you are no match for Dark Spider-Man. Leave, I will release you from my control, and you will be free from now on."

With a soft 'pop', excited screams came from afar, and seven or eight ghostly figures scattered and fled into the night sky.

Peter, completely ignoring the fleeing ghosts, stared at Yasuo: "You mean... you're just going to sit here and wait to die?"

Yasuo didn't answer him, but looked at him with a smile.

Yasuo completely disregarded Peter. In fact, only the trendsetters and leaders of a country could be considered 'enemies' or 'collaborators' by Yasuo. Although Peter was powerful, he was just one of America's rookies. The only reason he became the number one rookie was because he had two very strong sisters.

“Peter, do you know? You will never be ‘king’.”

"What?"

"A king should have the bearing of a king."

Speak like a human being!

"There are many kinds of kingly spirit; possessing just one is enough to be called a king."

Ignoring Peter's anger, Yaso continued, "Like Fang Zong, he possesses magnanimity, but he's not pedantic. He can forgive some people, even gods and demons, like the Empress Dowager and Murong Zhen. He can give me two hours, but he will never let me off the hook. What I possess is ruthless decisiveness, an absolute 'evil' that doesn't consider myself human. I'm cruel to others, but even more cruel to myself, all for... I will never admit defeat!"

"Stubborn fool!" Peter gritted his teeth, determined to break Yaso's arm first.

"No, I admit I was wrong!"

Yasuo's words made him unconsciously stop. The Yasuo before him laughed heartily, then suddenly struggled violently: "Back then, my adoptive father truly treated me like his own son. I knew he wanted to hunt me down to avenge his senior brother, yet he couldn't bear to kill me. I knew he destroyed his own energy nodes, but I was blinded by power and never thought I was wrong. Hahahaha, I was wrong, adoptive father, I know I was wrong! I've recognized many bastards as my adoptive fathers for power, but you are the only one I truly owe you. I know I was wrong, but I'm stubborn! I will never admit defeat!"

"Bang!"

Yasuo struggled fiercely, and Peter, seemingly lost in thought, did not make a move against him.

But Yasuo was bound by spider silk, and with such a huge difference in strength, his frantic struggles only hurt himself. His arm was broken, his ribs were broken, and the excruciating pain that shot into his brain only made him grit his teeth and groan, before he struggled even more fiercely.

"Fang Zong, I lost!"

Fang Zong, I've lost to you!

"But I refuse to admit it! I, Yasuo, will never admit defeat!"

"I admit my mistake! I may lose, but I will never admit defeat!"

The sound surged into the pitch-black night and rippled outwards, carrying Yasuo's stubbornness as unyielding as an ancient rock.

Peter reached out and tried several times to knock Yasuo unconscious, but Yasuo seemed completely unaffected and kept struggling.

“Are you crazy?” Peter yelled.
