Chapter 5 5. Best Friends
In Beverly Hills, a party is being held at Cooper's house. However, there are so many celebrities here that there are several parties every day, and people are not surprised.
Various drinks and food are placed in the living room, and a barbecue grill is set up on the backyard lawn. It is already mid-to-late May and the weather is starting to get hot. What could be more refreshing than drinking cold beer and eating barbecue?
Everyone gathered around Eric and cheered to celebrate his recovery and discharge from the hospital.
My brother Joshua Cooper came up and chuckled, "Not bad, I'm a professional at organizing parties, but it's a pity there are no hot girls. Our mom is still too conservative. I really miss the team's cheerleaders."
"Eric, I've been telling you that you should go to San Francisco. I can introduce you to Billy Whitman. That chick will be obsessed with you. She's as big as an F!"
Eric raised an eyebrow at his brother who was pimping for him: "Come on Joshua, if mom wakes up and finds two girls lying next to dad, the first thing she will do is skin you alive."
What Eric said makes sense. It is very easy to find hot girls here. Young models and marginal actors don't mind taking private jobs.
But some women are not here for the pay. They know very well that this is Beverly Hills, and they are even more aware of Charlie Cooper's identity. The position of CEO of MGM is unattainable for many people, and it also means they can get a lot of money.
All they have to pay is their skin and body. In Hollywood, flesh is the least valuable thing, and many people are willing to trade their bodies for opportunities.
"By the way, are the people I asked you to find here?"
"Here they are. Those brothers are quite proactive. The farthest one is in New Jersey. He heard about your recovery and flew here last night."
"Of course, we are best friends."
After chatting and playing with everyone for a while, Eric came to the backyard, where several young men and women were chatting and gossiping in pairs. Only a fat man was left sitting alone in the corner eating barbecue.
Eric walked over to the fat man and sat down. The fat man then raised his head, swallowed the barbecue in his mouth, and punched him in the chest: "Eric Cooper, you bastard, I knew you couldn't die!"
Eric smiled and clapped his hands with the fat man: "Warren, I haven't seen you for a while, why do I feel like you have gained weight again."
Warren suddenly felt that the barbecue in front of him was no longer fragrant: "How is that possible? I have been losing weight since graduation. I weighed myself yesterday and I have lost 5 pounds. If it weren't for celebrating your recovery, I would definitely not touch these high-calorie foods today."
"Really? It seems like the base is too large. You need to lose at least 50 pounds."
While the two were talking, two men and one woman approached. Warren immediately put on a sour face and taunted, "Haha, look who this is? You just abandoned my good friend. You chose desire over friendship. I despise you!"
But his ridicule obviously had no effect. A girl with bulging muscles on her arms clenched her fists, and Warren immediately shut up.
These four men and one woman were naturally Eric’s best friends. The five of them rented a villa outside the campus together during college.
In addition to Eric and Fat Warren, there are two brothers, Bordogis and Billygis, and the last one is the sister Judy Newhouse.
Warren is from Los Angeles, but his family is ordinary, while the Gis brothers come from a large farm family in Texas.
Judy was born in New York, but she had deep conflicts with her family, so she doesn't like to mention her family.
As for why a girl lives with four young and strong guys, there is no story that can arouse people's imagination.
That's because Judy is a lesbian and a pure top, which can be seen from her well-proportioned abdominal muscles. Once a fight breaks out, none of the four of them can match Judy.
Eric's room on the second floor of the villa.
"Tell me, what's your plan for calling us here?" Warren asked.
At this moment, he was no longer like the greedy fat boy just now, and there was a cunning light in his glasses.
The Gis brothers stared at Eric just like Judy did. As top students with higher IQs than ordinary people, they knew very well that if it was just to celebrate discharge, there was no need to go through the trouble of gathering all four of them.
Especially since New Jersey and Los Angeles are across America, why would you fly all the way here? "I have a plan and I need your help."
"What's the plan?" Judy asked, lying carelessly on Eric's bed.
"I now have $10 million in my hands, and my goal is to turn that number into $1 billion within a month."
As soon as he finished speaking, four friends with heavy breathing appeared in the room.
Although I studied finance and have analyzed a large number of examples of wealthy people starting businesses, and often see tens of billions of dollars in books, those are just numbers.
The money they actually handled was not even $100,000, let alone $10 million.
"OMG! Are you serious?" Warren took a few steps back, looking incredulous.
The latest novel is published first on Liu9shuba!
"Did I ask you to come here as a joke?"
Although the Gis brothers' family is relatively well-off, that property belongs to their parents. They have to wait a few decades if they want to inherit the property. Moreover, they may not even have 10 million. Both of them widened their eyes.
Only Judy remained calm, lying on the bed sucking on a lollipop.
"Where did you get $10 million?" Bordeaux asked.
Eric pointed to the door and said, "My dad, otherwise do you want me to rob a bank?"
"What a powerful and generous man! If someone is willing to give me ten million, no, even one million, I would lick his ass!" Biligis exclaimed.
It is normal for Billy to have such feelings. For people with ideals and ambitions, what could be more painful than lack of initial capital? Let alone licking asses, there are plenty of people willing to even eat shoes.
Judy snorted, "What a bunch of worthless men. Eric, tell me your plan. I really can't figure out how to increase this number 100 times in a month. There is no such lucrative industry in the world, even if it is illegal."
Judy is right. There are long-standing legal records of businesses that can make a lot of money. For example, selling flour can indeed make 100 times the profit.
But the prerequisite is that Eric must have a huge armed base, planting base, processing base and sales network, and at the same time open up various links. There must be no interference from the government and police, and no middlemen to make a profit from the price difference, otherwise the profit will be greatly reduced.
This kind of thing is just thought about, it's impossible.
Eric turned on the TV and tuned it to the sports channel. On the screen was the pre-season advertisement for the Japan-Korea World Cup: "This is my plan, betting on football!"
