Chapter 232 Buy a helicopter and take it back

As soon as he finished speaking, Ribs skillfully started the ignition program and quickly pushed the throttle lever with his right hand!

Buzz————!!!

The powerful engine startup roared like thunder. Outside the cabin, the main rotor began to slowly rotate. The nearly ten-ton steel beast lifted off the ground with ease, taking off vertically with a steady movement.

The huge airflow forced Wayne, Alfred, the technicians and the secretary to retreat again and again, forcing them to cover their eyes with their hands.

The helicopter did not just perform a simple demonstration as everyone expected.

After rising to fifty feet above the ground, Ribbs controlled the pitch stick and the entire Nighthawk MK-5 suddenly lowered its nose forward.

At the same time, with a clean and neat right bank turn, accompanied by a whistling sound of wind, it flew past at high speed along the edge of the space at the top of the huge exhibition hall!

The wingtips are only a dozen feet away from the dome!

"Oh my God! What is he doing?!" Wayne let out a short cry of shock, his face turned pale with fright, and cold sweat instantly soaked his back.

But that’s just the appetizer.

After circling the field, Ribbs didn't slow down. Instead, he yanked the joystick hard, matching the precise movements of the pedals.

The huge helicopter tilted violently in the air, the fuselage was almost vertical, and the main rotor plane was almost touching the ground!

It actually completed a textbook-level sharp turn and sideways maneuver, requiring extremely high control precision and understanding of aerodynamics! The entire movement was smooth and flowing, without a trace of tremor or hesitation, as if the aircraft was an extension of its body.

Then, with almost no loss of altitude, Ribs made the helicopter hover almost motionless in the center of the exhibition hall, and then... he began to do a high-speed rotation on the spot!

The powerful torque is delicately controlled, and the tail rotor works at full power to offset the torque effect of the main rotor. The entire aircraft is stable and the fuselage is as smooth as a mirror!

"Impossible..." an elderly engineer muttered, his eyes nearly popping out of his head. "This kind of high-powered, stable attitude control while hovering... an ace without ten years of battlefield experience could never pull it off! How...how did he do it?!"

The female secretary had completely forgotten her fear. She clasped her hands tightly against her chest, her eyes filled with fanatical admiration for the man in the cockpit. She was not looking at a politician at all, but at a god!

Amidst the dazed, horrified, shocked, and admiring gazes of the crowd, Ribs manipulated the "Nighthawk" to perform several extremely delicate and extreme maneuvers in the limited space.

Finally, the roar of the engine gradually weakened until it died down, the rotor speed also slowly decreased, and the plane returned to its original position as light as a feather, without even a trace of unnecessary shaking.

When the cockpit door opened, Ribs walked down with a lazy smile.

He took off his helmet and threw it to a startled mechanic next to him, with a lazy but extremely confident smile on his face.

"Mr. Wayne," Reeves' voice was not loud, but it carried unquestionable weight, "Your 'Nighthawk' MK-5 is excellent. The controllability, response speed, low-altitude performance... are impressive." His eyes swept over the behemoth just displayed, and his eyes were full of appreciation for the essence of power.

Wayne finally regained some of his composure from the shock. That extreme maneuvering display was enough to overturn his perception of what constituted "politicians" and "rich people." "Mr. Speaker... your driving skills are truly eye-opening! It's an honor for General Dynamics to serve a... 'ace' customer like you."

"As long as you're satisfied." Ribs nodded, his gaze turning to the other steel behemoths on display further inside the exhibition hall—those tanks, artillery pieces, and missile platforms, gleaming with a cold luster. "Black Rabbit Security, we may need more of these 'high-quality tools' in the future. Formal businesses have an increasing demand for security."

Wayne instantly grasped a huge business opportunity, and his smile became warm and sincere. "Of course! Mr. Speaker! General Dynamics is willing to provide the most cutting-edge and reliable solutions to important partners like Black Rabbit Security. If you have any needs, please feel free to ask! As long as it complies with federal law and the necessary... licensing procedures," he emphasized the legality of the process, "we will fully cooperate!"

Wayne and the General Dynamics staff present all had a tacit understanding - the company they served had never been a good one.

"Legal procedures are naturally not a problem. Alfred will ensure that all procedures are in compliance." Reeves' eyes fell on the brand new "Nighthawk": "This is the first one. This test flight MK-5 looks very good to me. It can be sent back to the Black Rabbit headquarters in Chicago. It will be much more convenient to have it when patrolling the territory and handling some emergencies." His tone was flat, as if he was ordering a luxury car.

"Mr. Speaker!" Wayne's heart skipped a beat. "Of course, no problem! This MK-5 is in perfect condition and can be delivered immediately! As for the procedures... Mr. Alfred?"

Wayne looked at Alfred, who had been standing still like a shadow and had now quietly taken out a special encrypted communication tablet.

Alfred adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses, the lenses reflecting the cold light of the exhibition hall. "Assistant Wayne, please contact me directly for confirmation of the relevant documents, payment account, and shipping coordination details. The funds will be available immediately, and we hope to see it on the tarmac of the Chicago Black Rabbit Security Headquarters within a week."

"I totally understand! I'll arrange it right away!" Wayne immediately responded, turned around and began to summon technical and business personnel.

A week later.

On the helicopter pad on the top floor of the Black Rabbit Security Headquarters in Chicago, which has been reinforced, expanded and equipped with dedicated ground handling facilities.
