Chapter 48: Each of them is a tough guy

Ribbs followed Raymond up the stairs on the side of the yacht to the deck.

Two bodyguards came forward to search them, and Raymond and Ribs both handed over their pistols.

The pinhole camera that Jerry gave to Reeves was very high-end. The bodyguards searched it twice but found nothing, so they let the two go.

As soon as we stepped onto the deck, two women in bikinis came up to us with champagne.

I have to say that the women on this yacht are of very high quality.

Although most women's figures are obviously padded, their faces are obviously plastic surgery, and their whole bodies are covered with silicone, at least they look visually pleasing.

Raymond took the champagne with one hand and naturally put his other hand around the woman's waist. Judging from his movements, it was clear that this guy must be a regular at this yacht party.

Following suit, Ribs took the champagne glass and hugged another charming bitch.

In a booth on the deck, a white man wearing a shirt and with slicked-back hair and powdered face was standing among a group of women, telling dirty jokes without any hesitation.

After seeing Raymond, he immediately waved and greeted him: "Hey, brother Raymond! You are finally here, come here!"

Raymond pulled Ribs toward the booth and whispered, "See? This guy is Frank!"

"Who is Frank?" asked Reeves.

"Xia Te! You don't even know Frank?" Raymond said in surprise. "He's the manager of the 'Chicago Paulson Charitable Foundation'. This yacht is his, and he organized the party."

"Oh oh." Reeves agreed twice.

The Paulson Charitable Foundation is one of the most famous private charitable foundations in Chicago. It is said that they manage tens of billions of assets.

In America, so-called charitable foundations are not necessarily good organizations.

There are at least 112,000 private foundations across the United States, managing more than $670 billion in funds.

American law stipulates that non-profit charitable organizations must donate at least 5% of their annual income to charity.

In this way, no matter how much donations the foundation receives, they will only spend 5% on real charity.

However, non-profit foundations have tax exemptions and do not have to pay federal taxes, which is a true and reasonable tax avoidance.

Compared with the huge taxes in the United States, this 5% is just a drop in the bucket.

Therefore, the real wealthy people in America simply regard the charitable foundations under their names as a great place to store their wealth.

These foundations make money much faster than drug trafficking. This is the game played by the real big guys.

The two came to Frank's booth.

Raymond, the usually arrogant gang leader, also greeted him respectfully: "Hello, Mr. Frank!"

"Okay!"

Frank, with his face thick with flesh and two women in his arms, asked with a smile, "Brother Raymond, how's business been lately? I heard your territory has expanded again?"

"Yes! It's all thanks to you!" Raymond replied respectfully.

"Don't be so modest, bro!" Frank said. "I heard someone say there's a new white guy in your gang, and he's pretty good! His name seems to be...Booth something?"

"Yes, yes! His name is Ribs!"

Raymond pointed at Ribs beside him and said, "That's the guy. I brought him here today to see the world!"

Frank looked at Rebus and said, "What a handsome young man! I knew that people named Booth are amazing! I heard that there's a Lei Bushi in Dahua Country, and we have a Rebus here too! Hahaha!"

Raymond really treated Reeves as his own. This time, he wanted to introduce all his connections to Reeves.

Seeing Reeves standing there without reacting, he poked Reeves and said, "Say hello to Mr. Frank! He's the real boss!"

"I've heard so much about you, Mr. Frank!" Ribbs said. "Your yacht is so beautiful, and there are so many big-breasted women!"

"Hahaha, of course! That's how you enjoy life!" Frank laughed. "Don't be polite, young man. Enjoy it later. If you like anything, just take it away! Hahaha!"

"Okay! Thank you, Mr. Frank!" said Ribs.

"What are you thanking me for? Everyone here is a guest. I'm just organizing a platform for everyone!"

Frank chatted with the two for a few minutes and then continued to tell the women his dirty jokes.

From these words, we can tell that this yacht party is probably not a serious party...

Raymond pulled Ribs and said, "Come on! I'll introduce you to some other people. All the people here today are big shots!"

Being able to get to know these big guys is certainly important, but at this moment, what Ribs is most looking forward to is meeting the branch director Michael, which is the most important thing at the moment.

The deck was large, and many men and women were standing together.

At the edge of the yacht's fence, Ribs saw a woman who looked familiar. The woman was wearing a long dress and had a good figure and temperament. She was completely different from those hostesses wearing bikinis.

But he thought for a long time and still couldn't remember who it was.

Next to the woman stood a tall white man wearing sunglasses and a suit.

Raymond brought Reeves, holding a glass of wine, and walked over to greet him enthusiastically: "Hi! Mr. Blair! Long time no see!"

Blair!?

This is a senator from the Chicago City Council! And he's showing up at this yacht party!

Blair was flirting with a girl when he was suddenly interrupted by Raymond. He took off his sunglasses and said angrily, "Crab! Nigga, you're here again!"
