In the blink of an eye, it was noon.
Lian Yi drove back while muttering, "It would be nice if we could just eat outside and go home, but why did you insist on us going home for lunch? What do you think Brother Nian was thinking?"
Fu Xiao smiled helplessly and turned to look out the window.
When the car drove back to the villa, lunch was ready. Liannian said to the two of them, "Go wash your hands and eat."
In the villa across the street, the man in the study on the second floor withdrew his gaze from the window, tilted his head and continued to order: "Double the number of people keeping an eye on An Yiran."
"No accidents can happen. We must keep track of all his movements. Also, keep an eye on our people and find a way to replace them with our own people."
The tall man in front of him lowered his head, listened to his words, and nodded, "Do it right away."
"Anything else?"
The man leaning on the windowsill was wearing comfortable home clothes, with slightly messy hair, and looked like he had just woken up.
Shen Xingzhou, with cold eyes and a calm aura, stared at a corner outside the window, pursed his thin lips, and said without raising his head: "Prepare two more guns for me."
"I can get something better, do you need it?"
Shen Xingzhou suddenly turned his head and opened his thin lips: "Yes,"
"Okay, I understand,"
The man turned and left.
Shen Xingzhou rubbed his brows and walked out of the study, ready to take a nap. He would be busy in the evening, and it would definitely be another night.
The mission target is so dangerous that you must ensure you are mentally strong enough to deal with any situation.
After lunch, Fu Xiao took an hour nap in the room. He did not go out in the afternoon and read a book in the garden all afternoon.
In the evening, the sky darkened.
"Xiaoxiao, don't look at it, it's too dark and hurts your eyes,"
Fu Xiao looked up at the window of the study on the second floor. Liannian was holding a cigarette between his fingers and smiling at her.
She smiled and waved her hand, "I'll be right back."
When they came to the living room, Lian Yi waved his hand and called her: "Come, try the freshly made dessert."
"Has Uncle Jiu left?" Fu Xiao asked.
"No, we are talking in the study."
"Oh, Uncle Yi, it's quite delicious,"
Seeing that she liked it, Lian Yi pushed the plate towards her and said, "Finish these. Dinner will probably have to wait until dark."
After finishing eating, he said, "Go back to your room and rest for a while. I'll call you when the meal is ready."
The dim evening mist gradually descended, stitching the sky and earth together.
Shen Xingzhou changed his clothes and walked out of the villa.
Just as I was about to walk towards the parked car, I saw an unfamiliar vehicle coming towards me.
We didn't stop here, so we went inside, but the Lian family was the only one inside.
He stood there, squinting his eyes as he watched the vehicles approaching, his right hand inconspicuously behind his back, the sharp tip of a dagger sticking out from his sleeve.
Jiang Zhi, who was in the driver's seat, slowed down the car and tilted his head to look behind him: "Hey, I mean, do you know that guy in front? I don't like his wary look."
Mu Lianshen, who was sitting in the back seat of the car, withdrew his gaze from the window and said lightly: "I don't like him either."
"Stop for a moment,"
Jiang Zhi held the steering wheel with one hand and asked with a smile: "Do you know each other?"
The car stopped in front of him, Mu Lianshen lowered the window, and almost the next moment, Shen Xingzhou moved his fingers slightly, retracted the dagger into his sleeve, and took a step forward.
"Uncle Mu, you're back."
There was still a hint of sharpness and fierceness on his face, but his tone was humble and gentle.
Mu Lianshen asked in a deep voice: "Do you live here?"
Shen Xingzhou lowered his head and responded: “For the time being, yes,”
Mu Lianshen looked at him deeply, his eyes were unfathomable, and there was an unspoken sense of oppression.
Facing the pressure from the superior's eyes, Shen Xingzhou's expression remained unchanged.
Mu Lianshen narrowed his eyes and said no more to him. He raised his hand and patted Jiang Zhi who was sitting in the front seat.
Jiang Zhi curled his lips slightly, changed gears, and stepped on the accelerator.
Watching the car drive to the door of Lian's house, Shen Xingzhou lowered his eyes and turned around...
"Aren't you going in?"
Mu Lianshen looked at Jiang Zhi, who had no intention of getting off the car, and asked with a raised eyebrow.
Jiang Zhi smiled and said, "I have something else to do, so I won't stay."
He waved his hand and said, "Bring your niece to my place some other day to pick out some good things."
He raised his eyebrows at Mu Lianshen meaningfully.
Mu Lianshen smiled faintly and nodded, then turned and walked into the villa.
Fu Xiao upstairs heard Lian Yi's excited shouting downstairs.
"Brother Shen, you're back? Just in time for dinner. Wait, I'll get a bottle of good wine."
She tidied up the clothes that were tumbling on the bed, opened the door, and heard Liannian ask worriedly, "What happened to your arm? Is it injured?"
Fu Xiao frowned, went back into the room, and took out his small bag of medicine.
Mu Lianshen sat casually on the sofa, "Xiaoshang, where's An'an?"
"She's upstairs. I'll go call her."
Lian Yi just arrived at the stairs and saw her walking down, so he turned around and said, "She's coming down."
He sat opposite Mu Lianshen and continued to stare at him with excitement.
Fu Xiao walked down, sat next to him and looked at his arm.
Mu Lianshen looked at her frowning face and smiled gently, "It's just a small scratch, nothing serious."
She carefully unwrapped the white bandage on his arm. The moment she saw the wound, Fu Xiao's brows furrowed even more tightly, and his face was full of unhappiness.
She opened the medicine bottle and began to disinfect the wound. Seeing her serious look, Mu Lianshen rubbed her hair and said, "It's nothing. It's just a minor injury. It doesn't hurt at all."
"Oh," Fu Xiao said with a wry smile, "That's right, there's still one centimeter left to the artery, it's just a minor injury."
There was no way he could catch the knife with his wrist, he smiled helplessly.
Mu Lianshen originally wanted to retort, but looking at Fu Xiao's angry face, he shut up.
