Sometimes, tears start to flow while I am laughing.
That’s because I can’t see the person I want to see in front of me, and I can’t imagine what that person looks like just by imagining it.
Fu Xiao smiled, but her eyes were getting redder. Mu Lianshen raised his hand to rub her hair, then looked forward again and said with a smile: "Shushu, we're leaving first. I'll come to see you next time."
He stood up, helped Fu Xiao up, and gently wiped the tears from her eyes. "Let's go."
After saying that, he pulled her out of the back mountain.
When he got home, he saw Fu Weilun moving things into the car. Mu Lianshen walked over with a smile, "Why are you carrying so many things again?"
Fu Weilun closed the car door. "They are all dried goods from the mountains and bacon from home. They are not good things. Let Uncle Mu eat them as snacks when he is free."
Mu Lianshen smiled and patted his shoulder, walked back into the house, picked up his small bag, said goodbye to the Fu family one by one, and got in the car.
Fu Xiao leaned against the car window and said to him, "Dad, the clothes and tea I bought for Grandpa and Grandpa Liu in Gangcheng are all in the car. Oh, and your coat is also in there. Remember to go back to the compound first."
Mu Lianshen smiled and nodded in agreement.
She spoke again: "Be careful, and drive slowly when you encounter icy and slippery roads."
Mu Lianshen looked at her with amusement, "I see, I'm an adult now, do I still need you to worry about me?"
"It's cold, go back."
Fu Xiao took a step back, walked away from the car window, and said goodbye with her hand: "Goodbye."
Mu Lianshen stretched out his hand, waved to her and the others in the Fu family, and started the car.
Watching the car go away, Li Xiufen took Fu Xiao in her arms and walked towards home: "Xiaoxiao, what do you want to eat in the morning? Your aunt will make it for you."
"Aunt, do you have any pickles at home?"
Fu Weibo smiled and said, "Want to eat some pickled vegetables? There are plenty at home. Your aunt pickled two jars of them after the winter. If you eat them normally, they will last until this autumn."
Li Xiufen said, "Aunt is cooking some porridge. Can we cut some pickles to eat?"
Fu Xiao nodded, "Yes, aunt, this is what I miss when I'm in Hong Kong. You don't know that the food there is not as delicious as the one at home."
Fu Weilun snorted, "See if you can run that far next time."
She giggled and said, "We have to go. It's quite lively over there... um...
Fu Xiao turned to look at Fu Weilun and whispered, "Uncle, you don't know, there is a casino over there. I even played a round there. Do you know how much money I made?"
