Until the sunset fades in the evening and night falls.
Xu Tingshen called and said that he agreed to her conditions.
He informed me of the contract signing time, exchanged a few pleasantries and then hung up the phone.
The next morning.
Fu Xiao came to the research institute and entered the laboratory assigned to her to test some new things.
She was so immersed in it that she didn't notice there were two people standing outside the window.
The old man in Zhongshan suit was talking to the person next to him.
Hearing no response, he looked up and followed his gaze. Seeing Fu Xiao in the laboratory, his eyes were instantly filled with smiles: "This is the little genius I told you about before."
"Oh?" The old man in the white coat turned his gaze and said, "She developed the hemostatic drug?"
The old man looked a little pale, as if he had not seen the sun all day. There was gray under his eyes and his stubble was a little scraggly. It was obvious that he had not had a good rest for some time.
Seeing him nod, the old man smiled and said, "President Chen, I've heard you talk about the little genius these past few days, but I never thought that..."
His eyes fell on Fu Xiao in the laboratory again. "Such a small child, and a girl."
Chen Tingxu put his hands behind his back, looked through the window at her skilled manipulation, and said meaningfully: "This child has great energy. No one knows how much is in her head. She is the treasure of our country."
The old man asked, "What is she debugging?"
Chen Tingxu shook his head, "I don't know, how about calling someone out to ask?"
"No," the old man waved his hand, "Don't be disturbed when doing experiments, let's wait..."
The two of them stood outside waiting until Fu Xiao stopped debugging and started writing something on paper. After she stopped writing, they knocked on the laboratory door.
Hearing the knock on the door, Fu Xiao turned around and saw two people standing outside the window. She stood up and walked to the door and opened it: "Grandpa Chen, why don't you come in?"
Chen Tingxu once brought her meals and chatted with her when she was staying up late to work on data. He was a very interesting old man.
"Isn't it because I'm afraid of disturbing you? Oh, by the way, kid, this is a scientific research professor who returned from abroad, specializing in medicine, his last name is Ye."
Fu Xiao understood, and nodded at him with a well-behaved smile on his face: "Hello, Professor Ye."
Professor Ye was probably in his fifties, with gray hair and a pale face full of the vicissitudes of life. His forehead was covered with deep wrinkles like ravines, and his chin was covered with stubble from slovenly beard. However, his eyes sparkled with a light, making him look shrewd and capable.
Looking at such a well-behaved girl, Ye Changgeng couldn't help but smile kindly: "Just call me grandpa, little girl, what are you doing?"
Fu Xiao handed him what she had just written. "I tested a few primers."
Ye Changgeng took it and looked at it for a few seconds, then nodded with a smile, "Are you planning to study bacteria?"
"Let me see if it can be applied to diseases. Here it is," Fu Xiao pointed to two of the data on the paper.
"But I don't know if it will work, let's try it first."
"It can be done," Ye Changgeng laughed heartily after hearing her words, "These are all true,"
"Really?" Fu Xiao pretended to smile happily.
"Yes," he looked a little excited, and pulled her over and began to tell her.
Chen Tingxu just listened to him talking to Fu Xiao about a bunch of professional terms. He became more and more excited and even sat down, as if he wanted to have a long talk.
He interrupted helplessly: "Professor Ye, you have been through a few days, go back and rest first."
Fu Xiao also followed suit and said, "Grandpa Ye, I will ask you for advice another day."
Although Ye Changgeng had a lot to say, he was indeed a little tired. "Okay, let's talk about it another day."
Fu Xiao sent the two of them out of the laboratory, turned around and began to clean the traces of use on the table. This was her habit.
After finishing the tidying up, he walked out carrying his small bag.
As soon as he walked out of the research institute, he looked up and saw Shen Xingzhou.
Before she could speak, he came over, took the bag from her hand, and put his coat on her. "It's windy. Are you cold wearing so little?"
Fu Xiao shook his head. "It's not cold. Didn't you go to pick someone up?"
Shen Xingzhou held her hand, warmed it in his palm, and led her to the car, "The person has been taken over."
Ye Changgeng had no relatives in China. After he returned, the country allocated him a house, but for the convenience of research, he insisted on living in the research institute.
There was really no way to persuade him, so they found the largest room in the laboratory lounge, cleaned it up for him to live in, and hired two guards to take care of him and protect his safety.
"Professor Ye, the house assigned to you is not far from here. Why are you so stubborn?"
Ye Changgeng waved his hand: "You don't understand, it's more convenient here. I can walk into the lab anytime I have an idea."
Chen Tingxu didn't say much. Although he had a home, he often lived next door. There was nothing he could do about it. There were just too many facts.
The two chatted and talked about Fu Xiao again. "This girl's thoughts are really wonderful."
An idea flashed through Ye Changgeng's mind, and he looked at Chen Tingxu, "What do you think about letting this girl follow me?"
Of course Chen Tingxu was more than happy to do so.
Originally, he found two experienced people in the hospital to follow him, but after only one day, they could not keep up with his progress.
Now that he had offered to take Fu Xiao with him, how could he not agree?
"Sure, I'll tell her when the child comes to the institute,"
In the car on the other side, Shen Xingzhou was talking to Fu Xiao.
