Chapter 91 Military District Performance

A few people stood at the back bored and listened to the person on the rostrum finish reading the manuscript and the awarding ceremony began.

The first person in front of the microphone was the one who won first-class merit in the mission, and he went on stage to receive the commendation.

Applause broke out all around. Below the rostrum, several soldiers in military uniforms walked out in unison, saluted the rostrum and the surrounding areas several times, and stood in a row with upright postures.

Fu Weihao was also standing among them, his military cap holding down his messy hair, his facial features were sharp, and he looked even taller in his military uniform and boots, with his back straight, making him particularly conspicuous standing there.

Even when standing in front of countless people, he did not feel stage fright at all. He stared straight ahead without looking around.

I heard the leader reading out that several people had won first-class merit in that battle. At the end, he invited the commander-in-chief to the stage to present medals of honor to all the heroes.

Fu Weihao raised his hand and applauded along with everyone else.

The applause died down and the sound of slow footsteps came from the left. Fu Weihao was standing in the middle and stopped in front. He glanced over slowly and saw a tall man in military uniform standing in front of his left, pinning a medal on the first person.

From his direction he could only see a side profile of the man, who was wearing a slim military uniform and combat boots that went below his ankles, which made him look tall. After saluting the first person, he ended.

Soon, the first, second, and third person were getting closer and closer to Fu Weihao. The bright sunlight shone on the man's face, revealing a strong and clear outline before his eyes.

When he saw the man's face clearly, Fu Weihao's heart sank suddenly.

He looked at the man with an ambiguous look in his eyes until he walked in front of him.

This man was solemn in every move he made, and he pinned the military medal on him neatly and efficiently.

Fu Weihao saluted him as usual, but the man opposite him looked indifferent. He also saluted back and moved on to the next one.

Fu Weihao withdrew his gaze as if nothing had happened, without looking at him again. He just lowered his eyes secretly, and no one knew what he was thinking.

"Grandpa, I saw the badge on my dad..." Fu Sui held the telescope and looked towards the direction of the rostrum.

Father Tan smiled and said, "Your father has made so many contributions, he must have a share of the military medals."

"That commander had his back to us the whole time, and I didn't even see what he looked like," Fu Sui stamped his feet excitedly, "No, I have to keep staring at him until he turns around. I want to see what he looks like."

From then on, he occupied the telescope and kept looking at Fu Weihao.

I saw him put the military medal on the last person, then turned around and stood in a row with everyone else to take photos.

Fu Sui finally saw his face clearly, but the more he looked, the more he felt something was wrong. The smile on his face disappeared, and he nudged Fu Yu next to him with his elbow.

Give him the telescope and signal him to look at the man on the stand.

Fu Yu saw the man's facial features clearly and although he was a little surprised and confused, his face remained expressionless.

Father Tan saw that their movements were a bit strange and asked, "What's wrong with you two? Did you see your faces?"

Fu Yu pulled on his eldest brother's clothes, smiled, and said, "I saw it, Grandpa, that man is the commander."

Father Tan smiled and said, "That's for sure."

"Oh..." Fu Yu raised the telescope and looked over, and saw that the person in front had already left the stage.

He put down the telescope, handed it to Tan's father, and took Fu Sui to the nearby store to buy drinks.

At this time, the microphone started broadcasting something else.

The two walked through the crowd to a corner. Fu Sui tugged at his sleeve and whispered, "Xiao Yu, does she look like your sister? I am not mistaken."

Fu Yu looked up at him calmly, "Wait until Dad comes back and ask him if he saw it wrong."

Fu Sui nodded, "Yes, Dad is close and can see clearly. Let's go buy some water. I'm really thirsty."

After saying that, he pulled him towards the convenience store.

At this moment, the microphone started reading again, and the promoted personnel came on stage.

Fu Weihao was also standing among them this time, but the one who changed his epaulettes was not Mu Lianshen. Instead, it was Wei Xuezhe and Commander Yu who went on stage to present the epaulettes to everyone.

After Fu Weihao stepped down this time, the entire awarding ceremony was basically coming to an end.

Another person took over the microphone and began to read a long speech from a script.

Behind the podium,

Mu Lianshen was sitting leisurely in a chair with his eyes closed.

Wei Xue Ze came over and tapped the table to wake him up, "Commander Mu, it's your turn to go on stage and give your closing statement."

Mu Lianshen opened his eyes and said calmly, "Give me the manuscript."

Wei Xuezhe took out a piece of letter paper filled with manuscripts from his pocket and handed it to him.

Mu Lianshen picked up the manuscript, stood up, straightened his slightly wrinkled clothes, and walked out...

He sat in front of the microphone on the podium. There was silence below. His ink-black eyes flashed with a sharp light, which made his calm and indifferent face reveal a sense of coldness and arrogance. When he looked at you quietly, he had a kind of temperament that made people surrender.

As his thin lips opened and closed, the words on the manuscript were conveyed to everyone in another way.

"......"

After the ceremony, there will be a series of cultural performances, but Mu Lianshen obviously will not participate in such a lively scene.

After finishing his speech, he prepared to return to the headquarters from the backstage, and Commander Yu and Wei Xuezhe accompanied him out of the military region.

The jeep was parked at the door, and the group had to walk a long distance. The accompanying guards were observing the surroundings in high alert.

Fu Sui, who was observing this scene through a telescope, turned his eyes slightly and pulled Fu Yu.

Quietly came to the playground, ready to take another sneaky look...
