Chapter 31 Football 31 So much energy!
Suoh Hyo-ki paused, his gaze flickering briefly as if he were lost in thought. But he quickly composed himself and regained his composure.
"They're all pretty average."
He quickly walked over and sat down next to Tenno Minaka. "Team Y's Ice-Wolf Sheep is not bad."
"...Him."
Amano Michū seemed to be deep in thought.
Suoh Kōki glanced at the bowl in front of Amanomi and noticed that it was missing some ramen, and that there was something extra in the bowls of Kiyō and Hōraku.
Before Kira Ryosuke arrived, they secretly swapped Kira Ryosuke's bowl with Amano Minaka's bowl.
"Oh my, are Jie and Feng Le eating so late?" Kira Ryosuke sat down opposite Suoh Koki.
"Ah, just finished training," Jie Shiyi replied.
"Training so late! Keep up the good work, we'll be facing off against each other soon."
Kira Ryosuke chuckled, picked up his chopsticks, stirred the ramen, and noticed the unusual portion size. He abruptly turned his head, glaring at Suoh Koki with a complaining look, "Koki! That's so mean!"
"Sorry, I did it."
Amano Minaka raised his hand, raised an eyebrow at Kira Ryosuke, and reached out to take the ramen back.
"Zhongjiang, you're covering for them!"
Kira Ryosuke muttered something to stop Amano Minaka's actions, then reached directly into Suoh Koki's bowl with his chopsticks and scooped all the delicious food from the ramen into his own bowl.
Suoh Koki did not stop him, and just watched as Kira Ryosuke took away all the food except for ramen.
Having witnessed the entire process, Tenno Minaka sighed and divided the contents of his bowl among Suoh Koki.
"You can't do that. Now is the most important time. If you don't replenish your carbohydrates and protein properly, it will affect muscle recovery and growth."
Jie Shi took a bite of the steak that Feng Le had given her.
They have such a good relationship.
The steak was delicious!
This ramen is pretty good!
"What about BeeJoy?"
Unable to get an answer from Suoh Koki, Amanomichi turned to Hiraku and asked, "How did you feel about the match?"
"Hmm...it's very easy."
Beehive chewed on her chopsticks and turned her head to one side. "Coming to Blue Prison was definitely the right choice. I've met a lot of interesting people."
Jie Shiyi interjected, "Xu Wang is very powerful! He scored 5 points by himself, but rather than winning easily, I want to test my own strength."
"I see. Well then, you two should keep up the good work!"
Amano Minaka frowned as he watched Suoh Koki and Kira Ryosuke fight with their chopsticks. He quietly moved away from them, ended the conversation, and focused on eating his ramen.
When it gets too late, you should go out with people you know.
Xu Wangxiao looked towards the endless corridor. Most of the lights were off, and the end of the corridor was hidden in the darkness, with only the emergency lights emitting a faint blue glow.
He sighed deeply.
Amano Minaka and Kira Ryosuke's dormitory locations are completely opposite to those of Team Z, and he intentionally avoids any interaction with Kiseiichi.
That subtle emotion enveloped him like a fog, causing Suoh Hyo-ki to unconsciously choose to walk alone.
So he got lost.
Suoh Hyo-hee tried hard to decipher the mark on the door.
Unfortunately, he couldn't see anything different; there was nothing to suggest. Every door was exactly the same, even the signs were identical.
Aside from the option of opening the door, the room's purpose is completely unknown from the outside.
It's so quiet here that you can only hear the echo of your own heartbeat.
"Click-click-click"
A series of crisp gunshots suddenly rang out in the empty corridor, echoing and intertwining among the walls, creating an inexplicable atmosphere of tension, as if one had stepped into a thrilling gunfight scene.
Suoh Hyo-ki's footsteps sounded exceptionally clear amidst the sudden noise, and he quickly pinpointed the source of the gunshot.
Not far away, a white-haired boy was curled up in a chair.
The boy had faint dark circles under his eyes, and the faint light from the phone screen flickered in his light brown eyes. His hands flew across the screen as if he were engaged in a fierce battle with an invisible opponent.
The light from the emergency lights and the glow from the phone screen intertwined, casting a shadow on the boy's slightly pale face, adding to his eerie and lonely aura, like a lingering vengeful spirit.
Ah, it's him.
Suoh Hyo-hee recognized it at a glance; this vengeful spirit was the one that had been diving last time.
He strode forward and walked straight toward the boy who was immersed in the virtual world.
The white-haired boy seemed unconcerned about Suoh Hyoki's footsteps. He merely glanced at him, and upon discovering that the newcomer was a stranger, he refocused all his attention on the game in his hands.
"King Sumeru!"
The familiar voice broke the silence of the corridor once again. Suoh Koki turned around in response and saw Kunishin Rensuke striding towards him with a surprised smile on his face.
"Why are you here so late?" Suoh Hyo-ki asked with a hint of doubt.
Kunishin Rensuke shrugged and laughed, "I didn't pay attention to the time, and before I knew it, we'd been training for so long."
As he spoke, he awkwardly scratched his signature orange afro.
Upon hearing this, Suoh Hyo-ki's eyes flashed with surprise, but he quickly regained his composure.
Just as he was about to speak, the white-haired boy on the chair next to him suddenly put down his phone, looked up at the two of them, his face full of confusion and curiosity.
"Really?"
The white-haired boy's voice echoed in the empty corridor, his gaze shifting back and forth between Suoh Koki and Kunishin Rensuke.
Team W? Or Team Z?
The white-haired boy looked at the two people in front of him, whom he didn't recognize at all, and guessed which team they were from, since only Team Z and Team W hadn't played against his team, Team V.
Although he could not remember the players of Team X and Team Y at all.
"What perseverance!"
The white-haired youth sighed softly, his gaze falling on the Z team logo on the sleeves of the two men, and he immediately understood.
It's Team Z... I think they were the last team.
The weak are such a hassle; if it were me, I would have given up long ago.
The white-haired boy pressed "Play another round" on his phone screen, his gaze once again drawn to the battlefield within that small space.
His eyes gleamed with a thirst for victory and a disdain for the challenge. As he enjoyed the thrill of the game, he casually remarked, "Why are you guys playing so hard?"
"It was just a regular selection process."
"We were even in the last five teams."
"No matter what, it shouldn't be our turn."
"Why work so hard when there's clearly no hope?"
"You guys are so motivated!"
He seemed to be talking to himself, or perhaps he was provoking the two people in front of him.
"Don't underestimate us." Kunishin Rensuke's eyes gleamed with determination as he said in a deep voice, "Of course, it's to become superheroes."
"?"
Suoh Koki looked puzzled, not quite understanding why Kunigami Rensuke had said those words.
What do superheroes and football have to do with each other?
"I have devoted a lot of time and energy to standing on the throne of the world's number one striker with dignity."
"This is my dream!"
"Getting into Blue Prison is the fastest way for me to realize my dream."
Kunishin Rensuke's tone was full of anticipation and determination for the future.
Is it a dream?
Upon hearing this, both Suoh Koki and the white-haired boy looked directly into Kunishin Rensuke's orange eyes.
"What...is there any connection between these two?" The white-haired boy glanced at Kunigami Rensuke and asked the same question as Suoh Koki, then turned his gaze back to Suoh Koki, "And you?"
Suoh Hyo-hee's eyes widened, and his expression became somewhat unnatural.
Hyoki Suoh, who actually came to Blue Prison for the sake of Senki Hyoma, used a seemingly high-sounding reason.
"I just came to see... what kind of person is the one who paved the way with the dreams of 299 people and finally ascended to the throne of the world's number one striker?"
But Suoh Hyo-hee was not one to lie. He awkwardly scratched his cheek, trying to change the subject, "Speaking of which, you look so unmotivated? Then why did you come here in the first place?"
Just then, a voice called out interrupted their conversation.
"Nagi!"
The white-haired boy put away his phone upon hearing the sound. He stood up as he spoke and walked toward the source of the sound.
"It's to keep Ling Wang company."
Nagi Seishiro looked left and right but couldn't see Rei's voice, so he asked, "Zantei, where is Rei?"
"Oh, Sato Karen seems to have strained his muscle. Rei-ou accompanied him to the infirmary."
A steady voice answered; it was Kenjou Zan-Tetsu.
"Extra training? That's such a hassle."
The white-haired boy frowned slightly, but quickly returned to his lazy demeanor.
Kenjou Zantetsu nodded, then said in a serious tone, "The match against Team W is coming up soon, and a muscle strain at this time is not good news."
He wanted to say something more, but Nagi Seishiro interrupted him, "It's okay, we'll definitely win as long as we're here."
Suoh Hyoki and Kunishin Rensuke watched them leave, each lost in their own thoughts.
Kunishin Rensuke rested his chin on his hand and said thoughtfully, "Those two guys are from Team V?"
"It feels pretty strong."
"Let's go."
Suoh Kōki extended his hand, gesturing for Kunishin Rensuke to go first, but was met with a blank stare in return.
People tend to get busy when they're in an awkward situation.
After watching Kunishin Rensuke make several feints in a minute, Suoh Koki tentatively asked, "Are you lost too?"
"Could it be... you too?!"
"Huh?!"
Suoh Hyoki's expression also turned blank. "Are we going to have to stay here all night?"
"No, no." Kunishin Rensuke rubbed his neck, his voice growing increasingly uncertain. "Someone will find out we're gone and come looking for us."
"...Really? This is Blue Prison, a place that promotes selfishness."
Upon hearing this, the two men looked at each other in silence.
"The operator!"
