Chapter 68 Football 68 The Fragile Guy

Chapter 68 Football 68 The Fragile Guy

In the dimly lit room, Kira Ryosuke sat quietly to one side of the chair, like a statue lost in thought.

He lowered his head slightly, his milky white hair falling down like soft silk, a few strands slipping in front of his eyes, swaying gently with his occasional nods.

A warm temperature, dim lighting.

It creates an atmosphere that is both incredibly relaxing and drowsy.

I'm so dizzy!

Kira Ryosuke felt as if his head was stuffed with cotton, dizzy and throbbing, his vision blurred, and everything in front of him seemed to be covered by a thin veil, indistinct and unclear.

Perhaps I slept for just too long.

He thought to himself, his brows furrowing slightly involuntarily, his lips pursed gently, and his originally fair face flushed an unnatural red due to dizziness.

Kira Ryosuke braced himself on the armrests of the chair with both hands, slowly exerting force, trying to stand up.

But the dizziness persisted, making his body somewhat uncontrollable. He swayed unsteadily, like a toddler learning to walk, stumbling and staggering towards the windowsill.

He pulled back the curtain and pushed open the folding glass window.

A gentle breeze blew in, bringing with it the long-awaited sunlight into the room.

The milky white strands of hair brushed against his face, bringing a ticklish sensation that made him squint his eyes slightly.

The whole world fell silent, leaving only this rare atmosphere of tranquility.

At least for now, he didn't want to think about those complicated things.

Kira Ryosuke rested his hands on the windowsill, closed his eyes, and enjoyed the sunlight.

In the airtight, completely enclosed training camp of Blue Prison, sunlight and fresh air are precious; only by accumulating ten points can one earn the opportunity to go out.

"Ryosuke."

A clear, gentle voice drifted from behind Kira Ryosuke, breaking the silence.

Kira Ryosuke was slightly taken aback at first, then quickly turned around to look.

Tenno Minakata walked over at a leisurely pace, wearing a dark green jacket over a dark gray school uniform from Matsukaze Kuroo.

This outfit seems somewhat mismatched, yet it also exudes a strange sense of harmony.

"Our next opponent is someone who is just as good as us."

Amano Minaka slightly raised his head, his gaze fixed on Kira Ryosuke standing by the window, his eyes slightly upturned, a flash of excitement instantly appearing in his golden eyes.

The light was intense and dazzling, like a small, burning flame, revealing his deepest desire for victory without reservation.

"If I can defeat them, it will prove that I am one step closer to my goal." Tenno Minaka clenched his fist, his knuckles turning white from the force, and his voice unconsciously rose a few decibels.

Target……

To become 'number one in the world'!

Kira Ryosuke silently repeated this sentence in his mind, his mind flashing back to the image of Amano Minaka who seemed to have given up on playing soccer.

But at this moment, he only felt that the bright golden eyes of the Tenno Minaka were so dazzling that they were somewhat frightening under the sunlight.

The golden light seemed to pierce straight into Kira Ryosuke's heart, making his heart beat faster involuntarily. His hands, which were originally on the windowsill, unconsciously tightened slightly, and his fingers gripped the edge of the windowsill tightly.

But didn't you already... give up?

"What's wrong?"

Amano Minaka noticed his absent-mindedness, his golden eyes filled with amusement. He took a step forward and patted Kira Ryosuke on the shoulder. "Are you surprised that I could say something like that?"

"Sometimes I also want to say some cool things."

Amano Minaka tilted her head, her movements somewhat childlike, and a few strands of hair on her forehead swayed with her movements.

"Isn't he handsome enough?"

He raised an eyebrow.

"...No, he's super handsome."

Kira Ryosuke was slightly taken aback at first, then came to his senses and a bright smile appeared on his face.

He gently brushed aside a few stray strands of milky-white hair with his fingers. As the hair was lifted, the beauty mark under his eye was revealed, standing out against his fair skin. His light brown eyes were also full of smiles, as if they held a thousand stars, shining brightly.

"It's just that I rarely see you so motivated."

Then he gave a thumbs-up to Amanominaka.

"That's all for now, the competition is about to begin."

Amano Minaka nodded slightly and winked at Kira Ryosuke, signaling him to follow.

Kira Ryosuke followed behind, his light brown eyes darting around, searching for Suoh Koki's figure. After scanning the area and finding that he was indeed not there, he turned his gaze back to Amano Minaka.

Is Koki not here?

Kira Ryosuke looked down at his jersey with the number 11 on it, tugged at the hem somewhat strangely, then looked up at Amanominaka. He noticed that Amanominaka had changed out of his uniform at some point and was now wearing a black jersey, but was still wearing a green jacket.

Aren't you going to play?

Kira Ryosuke pointed to his coat and asked.

In official football matches, there are strict dress codes; players must wear the same team uniform. Wearing a jacket over the shoulder during the match is not permitted.

If the middle player doesn't play, it's a two-on-three situation... it seems a bit difficult no matter how you look at it.

"Tsk." Kira Ryosuke scratched his milky-white hair in frustration.

"Go on stage."

Amano Minaka answered.

The green jacket was lifted up, revealing the number 11 on the jersey, which was the striker's number.

? !

Kira Ryosuke's light brown eyes widened in surprise.

"Didn't you say you weren't going to play striker anymore?"

His light brown eyes seemed to be churning with turbulent waves as he stared intently at Tenno Minaka.

Tenno Minaka narrowed his golden eyes slightly, his previously casual expression instantly becoming extremely serious, his gaze sharp as two gleaming blades.

"This is a practice match that we finally managed to get a chance to play, so we have to take it seriously."

"Practice match?"

Kira Ryosuke's hand, which was gripping the collar, suddenly stopped in mid-air, his fingers still tightly clutching the collar, his knuckles turning slightly white from the force.

"...What are you talking about? We're in the second stage now, where are you talking about practice matches?"

Are we going to have to compete against those top-ranked guys in a no-elimination tournament?

"Um?"

Now it was Amano Minaka's turn to look completely bewildered. He tilted his head slightly, his eyes full of confusion, as if a thin layer of mist had been veiled over his golden eyes. Clearly, he hadn't understood Kira Ryosuke's words.

But time was running out, and the match was about to begin. Without thinking further, Tenno Minaka grabbed the still-dazed Kira Ryosuke and dragged him out of the lounge.

"Ryosuke seems a bit distracted today. Is he tired?"

As Amano Minaka walked, he turned his head to look at Kira Ryosuke, his eyes filled with concern and his brows furrowed slightly, worried that Kira Ryosuke's condition would affect the upcoming match.

"No."

Kira Ryosuke replied absentmindedly.

"The opponent is an exceptionally strong player."

"If we can win this game, it will mean we are one step closer to our goal."

The word "goal" came out of Tenno Minakata's mouth once again.

Tenno Minaka pulled Kira Ryosuke onto the green lawn.

A gentle breeze blew by, carrying the scent of grass, but the two had no interest in appreciating the atmosphere of the competition.

"We must win the three-peat!"

His dark blue hair was blown wildly by the wind, and a few strands of hair drifted by, obscuring Tenno Minaka's sharp eyes. However, the unstoppable aura emanating from him was not obscured at all; on the contrary, it became even stronger.

"A three-peat?"

Upon hearing this word, Kira Ryosuke was struck dumb, as if by lightning. He froze, his expression frozen in that instant, his eyes filled with terror and disbelief.

The enormous fireworks seemed to explode in his mind, but the dazzling light was not a symbol of beauty; rather, it was a nightmare-like horror that slowly devoured his reason.

Am I not in Blue Prison?

Kira Ryosuke's body began to tremble uncontrollably, his face turned deathly pale, his lips were bloodless, and his eyes were filled with panic and fear, as if he had realized something extremely terrible.

He suddenly raised his head, his eyes searching frantically around him, as if trying to find a flaw in this familiar yet strange scene to prove that it was just an absurd dream.

"I've already reviewed the opposing players' stats. There's only one among them who can stop our target, and his name is..."

Just then, Kira Ryosuke's gaze suddenly fixed in one direction, and he saw the person's face clearly.

— Suoh Hyoki.

The tall, black-haired boy seemed to hear someone calling him and slowly turned his head. His face, illuminated by the sunlight, was sharply defined, exuding a cool and handsome aura. His pair of emerald green eyes seemed to possess endless magic, deep and cold, as if they could suck in one's soul.

The world seemed to collapse in an instant; everything around us began to become distorted and illusory, and all sounds disappeared.

All that remained were those emerald green eyes, like two deep black holes, radiating a chilling aura, staring straight at him as if to drag him into an endless abyss of darkness.

!?

Kira Ryosuke woke up with a start, his chest heaving violently as he gasped for breath.

"It's a dream."

After a long while, Kira Ryosuke seemed to finally come to his senses. He slowly lowered his hand from his eyes, muttering to himself, his voice carrying a hint of relief at surviving a disaster, mixed with a lingering fear.

"Very good."

He spoke softly, his words filled with a sense of relief. The thought of the three of them possibly becoming enemies made his heart feel as if it were being gripped tightly by an invisible hand.

Kira Ryosuke's light brown eyes slowly moved down, his gaze landing on Suoh Koki, who was still fast asleep. He unconsciously reached out and gently grasped the hem of Suoh Koki's clothes.

His fingers unconsciously rubbed against the hem of the garment, the movements very light, as if touching an incomparably precious and fragile treasure, or as if confirming that everything before him was real.

"What's wrong? You look strange."

Suoh Koki woke up at some point and looked at Kira Ryosuke with a blank expression.

Kira Ryosuke glanced at him, withdrew his hand, and gestured for him to drink some warm water before eating.

But King Hyo-hee was starving and ate his food in large mouthfuls. As a result, he accidentally choked on his food. His face immediately turned red, and he began to cough violently, one cough after another, as if he were coughing up his lungs.

He clutched his chest, bent over, tears welling in his eyes. His once handsome face was now contorted from coughing, and large beads of sweat appeared on his forehead, sliding down his cheeks.

Kira Ryosuke panicked instantly, his face turning deathly pale, his eyes filled with terror.

He quickly stood up, moved closer to Suwang Hyo-hee, and anxiously patted his back while saying urgently, "Quick, drink some water to soothe your throat!"

His voice became somewhat shrill due to tension, and his hands moved more and more rapidly, patting again and again. Kira Ryosuke's eyes were full of self-blame and worry, as if he had caused Suoh Koki to choke.

Suoh Koki finally recovered. He wiped away the tears from the corners of his eyes and looked at Kira Ryosuke's flustered appearance, a complex mix of emotions welling up inside him. He opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but his throat still felt a little sore. After coughing twice, he slowly said, "Don't worry about me..."

His voice was a little hoarse and weak, yet it inexplicably conveyed a sense of helplessness and stubbornness.

"You're overthinking it."

"ha?"

"I'm not a fragile person, and neither is he. Don't impose your impressions of him onto me."

Koki Suoh knew that fainting on the court would only deepen Ryosuke Kira's trauma. But he didn't want to see Ryosuke Kira so worried about him.

Upon hearing this, Kira Ryosuke's eyes widened in shock and anger, his light brown eyes fixed intently on Suoh Koki. The veins on his forehead bulged uncontrollably.

"Not vulnerable?"

"Was that act just now, where you seemed to think everyone owed you something and had betrayed you, fake?"

"Aren't you the one who's about to burst into tears at any moment?"

Kira Ryosuke was so angry that his lips trembled slightly. He pointed at Suoh Koki.

"You are too, and so is he. Neither of them are easy to deal with."

His eyes were full of disappointment, but anger still dominated, making Kira Ryosuke's words still full of gunpowder.

"And now they keep saying they're overly concerned!"

Do you think this is what I wanted?

Kira Ryosuke felt a surge of fear at the thought of Amanomichi and Suoh Koki falling to the ground one after the other.

"I am who I am because of you two bastards."

Kira Ryosuke grabbed Suoh Koki by the collar and practically yelled those words.

-----------------------

Author's note: In reality, Kira Ryosuke teams up with Suoh Koki, but in his dream, he teams up with Amano Minaka, so it evens out.
