"Listen up, men! Prepare to storm Jiang Tian's camp. Kill one enemy soldier and you'll be rewarded with a thousand taels of silver."
Pound had been holding back his anger all the way, and at this moment he could finally unleash it.
"Young Grand Secretary," several people nearby quickly reminded him.
“Princess Xue’er is for me.” Pound was so smug that he wouldn’t listen to anyone else. “Today I will elope with Princess Xue’er.”
"Young Grand Secretary,"
"Young Grand Secretary."
"Young Grand Secretary, don't panic."
Several men behind Pound shouted several times before he finally snapped out of his daze: "What?"
"The main force in Jiang Tian's camp has not been mobilized. Most of the cavalry are still in the camp. If we attack rashly, we will definitely suffer heavy losses."
The passion that had just surged within the young Grand Secretary was quickly extinguished.
"That son of a bitch Jiang Tian, instead of sending all the soldiers to their deaths, he left so many people behind."
Pound was indignant.
...
In Wolf Valley.
The fire, with its overwhelming force, swept westward along Wolf Valley.
Wolf Valley is flanked by high mountains, covered with withered grass and trees.
The raging fire swept up the hillside and spread to both sides of the mountain.
On the mountain, Chen Leiting, Dong Dajiang, and the others panicked when they saw the flames rapidly engulfing them.
"Retreat! Retreat quickly!"
"If we don't stay here, we'll get our butts on fire soon."
"Damn, I never expected the flames to be so intense."
"Those guys in the valley are finished. They have no chance of surviving."
"Haha, Jiang Tian must be inside. He's finished this time."
Chen Leiting's five hundred cavalry and Dong Dajiang's two thousand cavalry retreated rapidly westward along the mountain ridge.
Looking at the raging fire, Jiang Tian waved behind him and said, "Don't wait here. Let's wait until the fire is out before we come over."
"promise……"
Four hundred cavalrymen followed Jiang Tian and quickly retreated.
Princess Xue'er and Qin Hongyu's hearts clenched when they saw the raging fire in Wolf Valley.
"Sister Hongyu, will Lord Jiang be alright?"
"If anything happens to Lord Jiang, I don't want to live anymore."
"Princess, don't panic." Qin Hongyu looked at the flames in the distance. Although they were far away, she could still hear the whooshing sound of the flames being blown by the wind.
The sound of burning wood continued to ring out.
Qin Hongyu quickly mounted her horse and headed straight for the entrance to Wild Wolf Valley.
"Jiang Tian, you absolutely must not get hurt."
"If anything happens to you, my sister and I don't want to live anymore."
When Qin Hongyu rushed to the mountain pass, she saw Jiang Tian right in front of her.
Qin Hongyu rode at full speed, and along the way, she imagined many things.
When she saw Jiang Tian, Qin Hongyu couldn't stop her tears from flowing.
"Dalang, are you alright?"
"What could possibly happen to me? A bunch of ants trying to kill me? No way. Why are you crying?" Jiang Tian lifted Qin Hongyu off the horse, and the two of them rode together on one horse.
"I'm worried about you, my lord." Qin Hongyu nestled in Jiang Tian's arms, raising her pretty face.
"Don't worry, I wouldn't have gone to the Xiongnu if I didn't have the skills."
Qin Hongyu nodded.
The group returned to the main camp.
"Li Guang, go and bring Pang De to me."
"promise."
Li Guang quickly led two hundred cavalrymen straight towards Pang De's entourage.
Pound's team hasn't started moving yet.
Pang De had been keeping a close eye on the movements of Jiang Tian's camp.
Li Guang led two hundred cavalrymen galloping towards them.
Pound panicked immediately.
He wanted to run, but there was nowhere to run.
Pang De had no choice but to bite the bullet and go out to greet him: "General Li Guang, what brings you here?"
"Stop talking nonsense. The lord wants you to go there quickly. Don't dawdle."
"I wonder what business Young Master Jiang has with me?" Pang De asked tentatively.
"How would I know? But you know perfectly well what you've done," Li Guang said irritably.
When Li Guang was at the entrance to Wild Wolf Valley, he prepared to lead his troops to charge in.
If he had led his troops in, it would have been Li Guang who had been burned to death in the fire.
"Could you..."
"No..." Li Guang refused before the other party could finish speaking. He quickly drew his bow, pointed at Pang De, and said, "Stop with the tricks and get out of here."
Pound had no choice but to obediently follow.
…………
Jiangtian Camp.
“Young Grand Secretary…” Jiang Tian held a bunch of Shine Muscat grapes in his hand, “There’s an ambush in Wolf Valley, and this matter concerns you…”
"I don't know, I don't know!" Pang De knelt down with a thud, saying he knew nothing.
Pound trembled violently, like a leaf.
"I haven't finished speaking yet," Jiang Tian pulled out a bottle of "Sad Breeze" from his pocket, "How do you have such a thing?"
"I don't know, I don't know."
"Slap him first! I haven't finished speaking yet, you son of a bitch, always interrupting me."
Li Guang immediately swung his sword from its sheath and began slapping Pang De's mouth.
Snap snap snap...
Li Guang slapped the drum dozens of times in a row.
Pound knelt there, not daring to resist.
“Lord Jiang, I just want to leave this place. I’m not going to the Xiongnu anymore, I’m not going to seek death,” dozens of slaps landed on Pang De’s face, which was already swollen.
"Want to go back? No way."
Jiang Tian waved his hand and said, "Pass down the order: the main force is to set off. Don't waste any time."
