"Driver, speed up the carriage!" the brother and sister shouted in unison.
Prince Ono's hands soon became restless.
A series of disgusting noises came from inside the carriage.
The driver spurred the horse on, and in less than an hour the carriage arrived at the seaside.
However, what he saw at the beach terrified the driver.
"Whoa..." the coachman shouted, gently pulling on the reins.
The warhorse came to a stop quickly.
Prince Ono and Princess Sakuya asked at the same time, "What happened? Why did you suddenly stop?"
"Your Highness, Your Highness, please look out the carriage window."
Prince Ono and Princess Sakuya reached out and lifted the carriage curtain. In the vast darkness, the two adulterers sensed that there seemed to be many things hanging from the trees.
These things all hung down, like strings of sausages.
"How strange." Sakuya pouted. "What are all these things hanging on the tree? They look so interesting."
Prince Ono opened his eyes wide and looked again and again: "These trees are covered with human corpses."
The driver nodded, speechless with shock.
"Sister, let's go down and check." Prince Ono jumped off the carriage.
The guy walked up to the tree and took a closer look, and was so frightened he almost jumped out of his skin.
The trees along the shore were covered with corpses, numbering in the tens of thousands.
These corpses, exposed to the elements, were glistening with oil.
Under the moonlight, it faintly glowed green.
