"General, there's one more person I'm wondering if you'd like to see?"
"who……"
"Sheffield."
Before the steward could finish speaking, Murong Chui began to curse.
“If it weren’t for Sheffield, I wouldn’t be in such a sorry state. Me, see him? I’d rather strangle him to death.”
"General," the steward sighed, "200,000 Rakshasa soldiers are about to besiege the city. If the young marshals Murong Lei and Murong Shuang can join forces with the Rakshasa, perhaps we can turn the tide."
Murong Chui nodded.
"Where is Sheffield? Take me to him."
"Sheffield was seriously injured and I have arranged for him to be treated at my manor outside the city."
"Arrange for me to leave the city tonight. This time, I, the great general, will leave in disgrace, but I will definitely return in a righteous manner."
When I, Murong Chui, return to the capital, it will be time to slaughter these ungrateful bastards.
Murong Feng, you dog emperor!
"When the time comes, I'll definitely tear you to pieces."
...
Outside the city.
The wind, which had been blowing for several days, gradually stopped.
The sky was overcast, but it didn't snow today.
Many herders drove their cattle and sheep out.
The cattle and sheep used their hooves to dig through the thick snow, searching for grass roots buried beneath it.
The herders dug out the stored hay from the snow and used it to help their cattle and sheep get through the winter.
A carriage quietly emerged from a side gate of the imperial city and headed straight for a manor 30 miles away.
It's called a manor, but it's really just a few dozen tents.
This estate is located halfway up a mountain.
Half an hour later.
The carriage slowly drove into the manor.
"Where is General Sheffield?" Murong Chui asked impatiently after getting out of the car.
"General, please follow me." The steward led Murong Chui into a large tent.
Several campfires were lit inside the tent.
The campfires made the inside of the tents very warm.
Several iron hooks hung above the campfire; some hooks held lamb chops and legs, while others held a large kettle boiling butter tea.
On a low bed.
Sheffield was completely wrapped in cloth, with only his eyes showing.
"Sheffield, my old friend, what happened to you?" Seeing Sheffield's miserable state, Murong Chui stepped forward and offered a feigned greeting.
“Murong Chui.” Sheffield slowly opened his eyes. “Tell me where those barbarians who attacked me came from. I must avenge this.”
After saying that, Sheffield sat up abruptly.
"General, are you alright?"
“He won’t die.” Sheffield quickly stood up again. He walked to Murong Chui’s side, grabbed Murong Chui’s collar, and lifted him off the ground.
It must be said that these Russians are physically quite fit.
They've been beaten to a pulp, yet they can still stand up.
"I'll ask you again, who exactly were those barbarians who beat me so badly?"
"General, my old friend," Murong Chui said with a fawning expression, "the one leading this is Jiang Tian, our common enemy."
"Jiang Tian? Who is he?"
"This man from the Great Xia Dynasty has many capable subordinates. He personally boasted that he would conquer your Rakshasa Kingdom, capture your Tsar, and wipe out your barbarians."
Murong Chui never hesitates to stir up trouble.
This guy kept babbling on and on, using every venomous word imaginable.
This guy added fuel to the fire again.
Just as he was getting into the swing of things, Murong Chui snorted and received a heavy left hook from Wilder on the face.
Murong Chui's two teeth were knocked out.
"General, if you have anger, you should vent it on Jiang Tian. In short, if you can't destroy them, they will want to destroy you."
"Jiang Tian is a ruthless man."
"On the island of Dongying, a million soldiers and forty to fifty million civilians were slaughtered by Jiang Tian, leaving not a single one alive."
"Jiang Tian is preparing to use the same methods he used on the Japanese to deal with you."
With a snap.
Sheffield slammed a large hand heavily on the table.
He smashed the table to pieces.
"I must kill Jiang Tian."
"Our 200,000-strong army is about to arrive at the Xianbei capital."
"Even if Jiang Tian's team doesn't come looking for us, we'll still go looking for them."
"How did he treat me? I'll pay him back tenfold, a hundredfold."
Sheffield was so angry he gritted his teeth.
With a sudden rip, the guy tore off all the bandages wrapped around his body.
"Send me back, and I will personally lead a large army to kill Jiang Tian."
Sheffield: "Prepare a quill and ink for me; I want to write a letter to Her Majesty the Queen."
"If Jiang Tian is not eliminated, he will be a huge threat to our Rakshasa Kingdom."
“General Sheffield, I think we can cooperate. My two sons are guarding the frontier, and they have 250,000 troops under their command, all of whom are brave and capable warriors.”
Sheffield curled his lip upon hearing this: "What right do you barbarians have to cooperate with us?"
These words were harsh to Murong Chui, but the old man had already lost all shame.
"General, if I may be frank, as long as you give us enough muskets and cannons and let us charge ahead, I think our fighting strength will not be much worse than yours."
Sheffield nodded: "It's not a bad thing to have you guys acting as shields in front of the team."
