Chapter 99 Hail

Finally, everything was packed up and Bai Jing walked out holding Yu Wanwan's hand.

Before reaching the cave entrance, the witch doctor came over from a distance with a stern face: "Chief, you can't lead the team out. It's too dangerous."

Hearing that there was danger, Yu Wanwan asked anxiously, "Grandpa Witch Doctor, what happened?"

The witch doctor took out a few irregularly shaped stones and frowned, saying, "I just did a divination. There will be huge hailstorms in the next few days. If you go out, you will definitely be in danger."

Divination and medicine are both skills of a witch doctor. Some witch doctors are better at divination, while others are better at medicine. The witch doctor of the White Tiger tribe belongs to the former, and his divination is generally not wrong.

Bai Jing asked, "How many days will the hail last?"

"A hailstorm can last from one or two days to half a month, and after a few days of rest, it will continue to rain."

Hearing this, Bai Jing frowned slightly.

His trip was already very rushed. If he rested for a few days before setting off again, he would not be able to return before the snow fell. By then, the mountain would be blocked by heavy snow, the salt crystals might melt, and it was uncertain whether they could return safely.

But the little female simply couldn't live without salt crystals. These past few days, she had been eating meals made with poor quality salt crystals every night, which was simply unpalatable. Although she had tried very hard to eat, the consequence of forcing herself to eat was that she vomited after eating three meals. After a few days, the flesh on the little female's cheeks had become much thinner.

Yu Wanwan's recent condition is no different from those women who suffer from severe morning sickness and cannot eat.

Bo Jing said: "It's okay. If we encounter hail, we will find a cave to hide in first."

"No." Yu Wanwan tightly grasped Bai Jing's hand: "Grandpa the witch doctor said it's dangerous. I can't let you go."

Bai Jing pinched her cheek and raised a gentle smile: "Wanwan, don't worry about me, I will come back with salt crystals."

The witch doctor also said, "Bai Jing, I've detected that the hailstorm this time is very severe. Even if you have awakened your ancestral power, I don't recommend you go out. This trip is likely to be disastrous!"

Yu Wanwan didn’t believe in fortune-telling before, but since it involved Bai Jing’s safety, Yu Wanwan had to believe it.

She didn't want Bo Jing to be in danger.

"Wanwan, I will be careful."

During the struggle, a series of muffled noises suddenly came from outside the cave.

When they walked to the cave entrance, they found that the hail day the witch doctor had mentioned had come early.

Yu Wanwan looked at the hailstones as big as footballs in surprise. No wonder the witch doctor said there would be danger. If such big pieces of ice fell, even if you didn't die, you would at least take away half your life.

At this time, there were still many orcs staying outside. When they found that the hail was coming, they hurriedly put down their work, covered their heads with their hands, and rushed into the cave.

Yu Wanwan noticed the animals she had kept outside and subconsciously rushed over to drive them into the cave. Bai Jing grabbed her arm and frowned, saying, "Wanwan, it's too dangerous. You can't go."

The huge hailstones fell and soon hit the animals. The captive animals screamed, and blood even flowed out of the fence, staining the ground red.

Yu Wanwan was held in his arms, and he felt both distressed and anxious as he looked at the animal he had raised with so much effort.

The hailstorm lasted until almost nightfall.

The orcs who escaped the disaster came out of the cave.

Yu Wanwan also went to see the animals in the fence under the guidance of Bai Jing.

The fence was broken by the dense hail. Some animals ran out and hid in caves, but most of them were killed. Several of them were even severely injured and were covered in blood.

Yu Wanwan only took one look and couldn't bear to look any further, so she buried her face in Bai Jing's arms.

This time the hailstorm caused heavy losses to the White Tiger Tribe.

Hearing that hail would continue to fall in the next few days, the beastmen hurriedly drove the surviving animals into the cave and did not dare to let them out for the next few days, for fear that they would be killed again if they came out.

Looking at the crackling hailstones, Mo Zhou couldn't help but sigh, "I should have listened to Wanwan and gone to the beach to extract sea salt. Now, with the hailstorm, Bai Jing can't leave. Forget about sea salt. In a few days, there won't even be any fresh animal blood to drink."

Fei Han, who was cooking, echoed, "Bai Jing is also doing this for Wan Wan's own good."

Mo Zhou snorted and leaned against the mountain wall with his arms crossed. "Bai Jing is just trying to steal my position as the first partner, so he's meddling in everything."

Fei Han glanced at Mo Zhou and said nothing.

They had a fight over this matter, which caused a bad atmosphere at home for several days. Although he had taken advantage of the situation and slept with the young female for several days, he didn't want to see Wanwan sad.

Seeing Feihan ignoring him, Mo Zhou didn't mind and continued to talk to himself: "If Wanwan hadn't said that everyone's status is equally important, I would have had a good fight with Bai Jing to let him know who should be the boss in the family."

Originally, he didn't quarrel with Bai Jing because he couldn't take Yu Wanwan to the beach, but because he was afraid that Yu Wanwan only had Bai Jing in her heart and not him. However, after that incident, Yu Wanwan explained to him for a long time in bed and coaxed him in various ways, which made Mo Zhou's heart feel sweet and he didn't want to bother with Bai Jing anymore.

Just as he was immersed in the sweetness of the past few days, Mo Zhou suddenly saw Fei Han's hand sprinkling salt and said unhappily, "Bird, can you take it easy? The dishes you cooked were so disgusting that Wan Wan vomited."

Fei Han's forehead vein jumped, and he replied in the same annoyed tone: "If you can do it, go for it. This salt crystal is so unpalatable, and I have to eat it. What can I do?"

"It can't be so unpalatable." Mo Zhou picked up a piece of meat.
