Feihan opened the door and walked in with Yu Wanwan.
Kuanmu is different from other tree species. Legend has it that this is a tree specially given by the Beast God to the Dan bird clan for them to live in.
It is hollow inside, has hard bark, and has a large space, allowing the Dan bird tribe to live directly in it.
Feihan’s tree house is three stories high. The bottom floor is the living room and kitchen, the second floor is the study and pharmacy, and the third floor is the bedroom and a small platform.
Yu Wanwan fell in love with this tree house almost at first sight, but the herbs inside were very precious things, so she didn't dare touch them easily, for fear of accidentally breaking them.
Fei Han looked at the little female sitting upright, clearly very curious but wanting to move but not daring to, and he thought she was incredibly adorable.
Feihan held Yu Wanwan's little face, squeezed out the flesh on her cheeks, kissed her lips hard, and said lovingly, "Wanwan, go and have a look around. This will be your home from now on."
Yu Wanwan was so kissed by him that she saw stars. She rubbed her face and said, "But what if I accidentally broke something?"
"It's okay if it's bad." Fei Han touched her head: "Nothing is more important than you."
Fei Han even had the bad intention of asking Yu Wanwan to really break something. Given Yu Wanwan's personality, she would definitely feel embarrassed to compensate him. Fei Han couldn't help but get excited at the thought of being able to do whatever he wanted to the little female in the place where he grew up.
Of course, Yu Wanwan didn't know about his little thoughts.
After getting Feihan's approval, Yu Wanwan was finally able to go on the tour without any worries.
The furniture used in Feihan's home is completely different from that in the White Tiger Tribe. They are all made of wood, which makes people feel very warm.
For example, the tables in the living room are all made of wood, and the chairs are made by digging a hole in a tree stump, and then placing soft cushions and animal skins on them. They look no different from modern sofas.
There weren't many decorations on the table. There were some bouquets of flowers in a wooden bottle in the middle. They looked like they had just been picked today and were still very fresh.
Yu Wanwan walked up the stairs along the wall to the second floor.
The study and pharmacy on the second floor were filled with medicinal herbs, and there was a pile of bookshelves behind the desk, on which were placed things like bark.
Yu Wanwan took one down to look at it, and found a shocking scene inside.
"Feihan, Feihan, come here quickly!"
Hearing Yu Wanwan's cry, Feihan quickly put down his work and hurried to the second floor: "Wanwan, what's wrong? What happened? Are you hurt?"
Without saying a word, he grabbed Yu Wanwan and checked her up and down. He felt relieved when he saw no wounds on her body.
"It's not me, it's this." Yu Wanwan pointed at the bark on her hand and asked, "Who told you the words on it?"
Fei Han leaned over to take a look and said, "This is a character created by a destined person a thousand years ago."
"The destined person?" Yu Wanwan murmured.
Grandpa the witch doctor once told her that the destined person was sent by the Beast God to protect the Orc Continent, but Feihan said that the words on it were created by the destined person. It would be fine if it was some ancient characters, but now it is clearly simplified Chinese characters!
What does this prove? It proves that the destined person was not created by the Beast God, nor was she a female from the Orc Continent. Instead, she came from the same era as her and traveled from the same place!
Yu Wanwan's expression was unpredictable, and Feihan couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong, Wanwan?"
Yu Wanwan shook her head and handed him the hide. "The writing on it is exactly the same as the writing in my hometown, so I'm a little excited."
"It's the same as the writing in your hometown?" Fei Han was a little surprised: "Wanwan, you can recognize the characters?"
"I recognize it." Yu Wanwan scratched her face.
After all, she has completed nine years of compulsory education, so it is unlikely that she can't even recognize simplified Chinese characters.
"Feihan, you can recognize words too?"
Feihan nodded.
The two people who thought each other was illiterate fell into deep thought.
Fei Han was the first to react. He patted Yu Wanwan's head and chuckled, "My little female is really amazing. She can weave bamboo baskets and rattan bags, and now she can even recognize words."
Writing is a very precious thing in the Orc Continent. It has even been monopolized by the upper nobles and is not allowed to be passed on to outsiders. Fei Han was only qualified to come into contact with writing after he studied medicine.
And such precious things are recognized by almost everyone in Yu Wanwan's hometown.
Knowing that the destined person was actually her "predecessor" and had even taught the orcs some knowledge, Yu Wanwan couldn't help but feel excited. "Since the orcs have writing, let's go back and teach everyone how to write. This will make it easier for us to write letters in the future, and we won't have to worry about others overhearing our messages."
As soon as Yu Wanwan arrived in Beast City, she wanted to send a message to Bai Jing. She had a lot to say to Bai Jing, but she was embarrassed to let others hear it, so she had to cut and cut back on what she wanted to say, and finally just reported that she was safe.
Fei Han shook his head. "Beast City has clear regulations that ordinary beastmen are not allowed to circulate texts. You can tell Bai Jing and Mo Zhou, but you can't teach them to a large group of people, otherwise you will be arrested."
"Ah? Is it that serious?" Upon hearing that she was going to be caught, Yu Wanwan lowered her head in frustration, and the little flame of excitement was immediately extinguished.
She didn't expect that the orcs were so conservative. If things like writing were not widely spread and taught, they would be of little use, and the speed of social progress would be greatly slowed down.
No wonder after so much time has passed, the Orc Continent is still in the state of a primitive society and has not developed much. It is all because of that small group of so-called aristocratic orcs who have hindered the progress of the entire continent.
